Strawberry ice cream pie is the perfect dessert for hot summer days when you crave something cool, sweet, and refreshing. This dessert combines the rich, creamy texture of ice cream with the tangy sweetness of fresh strawberries, all set in a crunchy, buttery crust. It’s an easy-to-make treat that requires no baking, making it perfect for those lazy afternoons when you want a show-stopping dessert without the heat of the oven.
The crust is often made from crushed graham crackers or cookies, mixed with melted butter and pressed into a pie dish. This gives the pie a crunchy texture that contrasts beautifully with the creamy filling. You can even experiment with different types of cookies, like Oreos or shortbread, for a twist on the classic.
The filling is the star of this dessert, made by layering a generous amount of strawberry ice cream over the crust. If you’re feeling extra creative, you can mix in fresh chopped strawberries or a swirl of strawberry sauce to add more flavor and texture. For a little extra indulgence, some recipes call for a layer of whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top. The combination of cool ice cream and fresh strawberries creates a flavor explosion that’s perfect for warm weather.
What’s great about strawberry ice cream pie is that it’s so customizable. You can use store-bought ice cream or make your own for an even richer flavor. You can also mix in other fruits like blueberries or raspberries, or even add a handful of nuts or chocolate chips for crunch. No matter how you make it, this pie will always be a crowd-pleaser.
This dessert is not only easy to prepare but also requires no time in the oven, so you can spend more time enjoying the sunshine and less time in the kitchen. It’s the ultimate way to enjoy the sweet, fruity flavors of summer in every bite.

I think you need more ingredients to make it better. Like some cookies or something. It’s not enough!
I LOVE STRAWBERRIES!!! This pie is heaven on earth. 10/10 recommend!
I dunno… I thought the crust was too crumbly. Maybe I did something wrong?
I’m a little confused about the frozen time. 4 hours? Seems like too long, lol.
I made this thinking it was gonna be hard. Nah, super simple! You don’t even need an oven!
Glad you found it easy! It really is a no-fuss dessert. Can’t wait to try it myself!
I loved the flavor, but 4 hours wasn’t enough for my freezer—ended up waiting more like 6. Still worth it though.
Strawberry ice cream is the best! This pie didn’t last a day in my house.
5 stars. i did it for a party and everyone asked for the recipe. only thing was i forgot to freeze the crust long enough lol.
I didn’t have strawberries, so I used blueberries! It was still yummy.
Made this for my mom’s bday and she cried! Best pie ever! 🥳
Not really a fan, it was too sweet for my taste. 😕
Too sweet? I thought it was perfect! What did you expect from strawberry ice cream pie? 🤔
I actually found it just right! Maybe try less ice cream next time? 🍦
Can you use other ice cream flavors? My kids are picky. I think they like chocolate instead.
I didn’t have strawberries, so I used raspberries. It was just ok.
Strawberry ice cream pie? Sounds odd… not sure if I trust it.
Not sure about the frozen pie thing… isn’t ice cream already frozen? 🤔
I used frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones, turned out good!
Strawberry ice cream pie? Never heard of it! Sounds cool tho. Can I use a different ice cream?
Strawberries and ice cream? What could go wrong! But I can’t believe it takes 4 hours to set. Ugh.
This pie is soooo good! I love strawberry ice cream! 🍓
The crust mix was kinda dry at first, so I added a tiny splash more melted butter. After that it pressed in well. Might be my crumbs though.
That sounds about right—crumbs can be super different depending on brand/brand of graham. Tiny extra butter is totally reasonable if it won’t press. Glad it worked after that!
Mine was dry too, but I just kept pressing harder and it turned out kinda crumbly anyway 😅 Maybe you needed more butter *before* mixing? Also I thought freeze 15 min would “set” it, but nope. Still tasted good though.
Yum! This recipe’s a keeper! My friends loved it!
I can’t believe how easy this was! I’m definitely making it for my family gathering this weekend.
This is THE BEST PIE EVER! Made it for my family, they were all fighting for seconds!
Strawberry pie yum! 🍓
Sounds delicious! I can’t wait to try making it for the summer BBQ!
Isn’t that a bit too sweet? I prefer pies with less sugar. 🤔
Flavor is awesome. I used frozen strawberries because that’s what I had, and it still worked—just more watery, so I thawed and drained them first.
Too sweet for my taste. Next time, I’ll reduce the sugar in the crust.
This pie was a hit at my barbecue! Everyone loved the fresh strawberries on top. Will definitely make again!
Not a fan. I think it needed more strawberries or something. It was kinda bland.
Easy recipe, but do I HAVE to freeze it? Got impatient and ate it right away, lol!
I totally get you! I couldn’t wait either, it was so yummy right after making it! 😋
Yum! Super easy and delicious. I added some chocolate drizzle on top too. So good! 🍓🍦
Easy recipe! But I used chocolate ice cream instead. Still it was delicious! 🤤
Chocolate ice cream? That’s kinda weird but I’m glad you liked it! 🍦
I don’t get the hype. It’s just ice cream with some stuff. Meh.
I followed the recipe pretty much exactly, but my crust crumbled when I cut it. Maybe I didn’t press hard enough—next time I’ll pack it tighter.
Ah that sounds annoying! Packing it tighter + maybe chilling a bit longer before slicing would help a lot. The 15 minutes might not be enough for a crust that’s prone to crumbling.
Mine did the same at first. I think my ice cream was too soft when I spread it, like it kind of pushed the crust around. Next time I’m gonna freeze the crust longer and let the ice cream sit less!
I’m giving it 5 bc it’s basically no-bake heaven. My wife said “this is better than the store,” so yeah. 😄
This pie makes me happy! 🍰 So sweet and tasty! Will make again for sure!
I dunno, sounds kinda easy, but pie’s gotta be done right. Hope mine turns out!
I’m so glad you loved it! 🍓 This pie is my favorite too!
Really good, but 4 hours wasn’t enough for my freezer. I ended up leaving it overnight and it sliced way cleaner.
4 hours wasn’t enough for me either 😅 I waited like 6 and it was still soft in the middle. Next time I’m doing overnight like you—also I thought “softened” was better but maybe not? Anyway looks great.
Agree! 4 hours is kinda optimistic depending on your freezer temp. I chilled mine overnight too and the slices came out way cleaner and less melty.
Too chilly for me, I prefer hot desserts. 🤷♂️
I get that! Hot desserts are cozy. But you gotta try this in summer! It’s so refreshing! 😋
Pretty easy to make, but mine was a bit runny. Maybe I didn’t freeze it long enough?
Are you serious? This is the easiest recipe and tastes amazing! 💖
I had it turned out too mushy, guess I didn’t freeze it long enough? Not sure if I would make again.
The instruction says freeze the crust 15 minutes, but mine felt too soft still after that. Would’ve been better longer, like 30.
