Craving pizza but sticking to a low-carb lifestyle? Keto pizza is the perfect solution. It delivers all the cheesy, saucy satisfaction of traditional pizza—without the carb-heavy crust. Whether you’re following a ketogenic diet or simply cutting back on carbs, this dish proves you don’t have to give up your favorite comfort food.
The magic of keto pizza lies in the crust. Instead of flour, it’s typically made with low-carb ingredients like almond flour, mozzarella cheese, eggs, and sometimes cream cheese or coconut flour. This results in a dough that bakes up golden, chewy, and sturdy enough to hold all your favorite toppings.
One of the most popular keto crusts is the fathead dough, a blend of melted mozzarella, cream cheese, almond flour, and egg. It’s easy to make, quick to bake, and has a satisfying texture similar to traditional pizza dough—without the carb crash.
To make keto pizza, roll out the dough and bake it until lightly golden. Then, layer on sugar-free tomato sauce or pesto, shredded cheese, and your preferred toppings. Pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach, olives, sausage, and bell peppers are all keto-friendly options. Top it off with a sprinkle of oregano or crushed red pepper for extra flavor.
Bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Slice and enjoy a guilt-free meal that feels indulgent while keeping you in ketosis.
Keto pizza is also highly customizable. You can use cauliflower, chicken, or even ground beef as a crust base for creative variations. And if you’re short on time, many stores now offer pre-made keto pizza crusts or frozen low-carb pizzas.
With only about 3–5 grams of net carbs per slice (depending on toppings and crust type), keto pizza is perfect for dinner, a party appetizer, or even a savory snack.
Delicious, satisfying, and diet-friendly—keto pizza proves that low-carb eating doesn’t mean sacrificing your favorite meals.

Wow, this keto pizza is amazing! The crust was surprisingly good for being low-carb. Definitely making this again!
I tried this recipe too! It was a hit with my family. Thanks for sharing!
Keto pizza? More like keto fiasco! Not my thing at all, rather have cauli-rice!
Tried this recipe and it was okay, but the dough was kinda meh. I think I prefer regular pizza.
Easy to make but the cheese part was a bit sticky. Maybe too much mozzarella, idk. Still turned out decent.
This pizza is a total game-changer! Perfect for my diet and tastes so good – I’m in love!
I was skeptical at first, but this turned out better than I thought. Just make sure you have the right cheese or it might not work!
I didn’t like it, the almond flour gave it a weird taste. Plus my kids didn’t eat it. Big fail!
This was the best keto pizza I’ve ever made! The crust held up really well. Will definitely make again!
I tried this but my dough was too oily. Followed the recipe exactly tho.
5 stars! My whole family loved it. Even the kids who don’t like ‘healthy food’ ate it all!
Was super skeptical about almond flour, but it actually works! Who knew?
This pizza is a game changer! Can’t believe it’s keto and tastes so good. Win-win!
I agree! This recipe is so delicious, I could eat it every day! Best keto pizza ever!
But is it really as good as regular pizza? I mean, come on, almond flour? Really?
I think this pizza is a little too much work for just a crust? Like, why so complicated? Why not just order a real pizza?
I get it can seem complicated, but this keto pizza is actually worth it! It’s healthier and you control the ingredients. Plus, homemade always tastes better! 🍕
Keto or not, this pizza is delish! I’ve made it twice already. Family loves it!
Not bad but i think the crust can be more crunchy… maybe bake longer?
Ehh, just ok. Kinda chewy… I prefer regular pizza. Not worth the fuss.
I get what you’re saying! It’s definitely different from regular pizza. But if you’re eating keto, it’s one of the better options, I think. Maybe try baking it a bit longer next time? Might help with the chewiness!
Keto pizza is always gonna be a compromise, but this one is a decent compromise. Bubbly cheese was the best part.
Totally agree—keto pizza is always a compromise, but the crust here seems way more legit than most. That bubbly cheese is definitely the highlight!
My kids loved it! Finally a keto meal they will eat without complaining! 👍
So glad to hear that! Keto pizza is a game changer for picky eaters. 😋
Yum! I added some olives and mushrooms on top too. Super delicious and guilt-free! Big thumbs up!
Sounds like a tasty twist! Olives and mushrooms are great combos. Glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t like cream cheese, can I just leave it out? Hope it still tastes good.
Amazing! I added some olives and mushrooms. Yum! Gonna make again!
Tried this last night—crust came out super crispy for keto. I used turkey pepperoni and it still hit. Would make again!
Mine always comes out kinda chewy, not crispy 😩. Did you let it bake the full 10+10 without opening the oven?
Nice! Crispy keto crust is the hardest part for me. Glad turkey pepperoni worked—what sauce did you use?
I was skeptical at first, but this was actually pretty tasty! However, the crust didn’t turn out as crispy as I hoped.
I tried it, but my dough was too sticky and I ended up with a mess. Any tips?
Sounds like you might’ve added too much cheese or not enough almond flour. Try adjusting the amounts next time!
Keto pizza? More like fakeza. Blah.
I’m new to keto cooking and this was easy. Only weird part: microwaving cheese took me longer than a minute to melt fully.
This recipe is super easy to follow, but it made a mess in my kitchen. 😂
Delicious! I used cheddar cheese instead and it worked just fine.
I didn’t think it would taste good with cheddar, but now you’ve got me curious! I might try it next time. Thanks for sharing!
I followed it exactly and my crust was more like a cheesy omelet. Maybe my egg was too large??
Mine did this once too. I think my mozzarella was too fresh/wet. Next time I used pre-shredded “dry” mozzarella and squeezed any moisture out if it felt stringy.
That sounds frustrating 😅. An extra-large egg (or not enough almond flour) can absolutely make it more “omelet-y.” I’d try weighing the egg (or using 1 large, not extra-large) and pressing/rolling a bit thinner between parchment next time.
The crust is tasty, but it’s not really ‘pizza’ texture. More like cheesy flatbread. Still worth it for low-carb cravings.
Am I the only one who’s worried about tomato sauce being “low-carb”?? Like, what brand are we trusting here lol
I was too—“low-carb” tomato sauce can still sneak in sugar. I usually check for <5g carbs per serving before trusting any brand 😅
This pizza was surprisingly good! I added some veggies on top and it turned out amazing!
I was skeptical about almond flour + cheese dough, but the texture surprised me. Next time I’ll roll it a bit thinner for extra crunch.
Honestly I used coconut flour instead of almond and it turned out fine. Still good!
I followed the recipe, but my dough was way too sticky. What did I do wrong? 🤔
Sounds like you might’ve added too much cheese! That can make it extra sticky. Try reducing the mozzarella next time.
Not gonna lie, mine stuck to the parchment a little and I got uneven thickness. Taste was great, but presentation kinda rough.
The cheese crust was a bit oily for my taste. I think I prefer traditional dough.
I don’t do keto, but I wanted to see if it worked. It tasted like pizza to me, just lighter. Would serve this to friends.
I can’t believe this is keto! So satisfying and low carb, I’m making it every week now!
Right? I was shocked too! It tastes amazing and I don’t feel guilty making it! 😍
Baking powder helps rise the dough right? Well mine didn’t rise much. Still edible tho.
Yeah, sometimes the dough just doesn’t cooperate. Maybe the baking powder was old? I’ve had that happen too.
I can’t believe how easy this was to make! Never thought I could make pizza at home.
The “microwave 1 minute” part is vague—mine needed way longer because the cheese clumped. Add stirring checks and you’ll be fine.
Loved it! Made this for game night and everyone was impressed. Even my non-keto friends liked it. Must try!
Not bad. But I’ve had better crusts from frozen keto pizzas. Just saying.
Nah, I love this homemade crust! Can’t compare to frozen stuff. Fresh is always better, right?!
I totally get you! I’ve tried a few frozen ones that were way tastier. This recipe is cool, but it doesn’t hold a candle to them. 😕
This is basically fathead pizza without all the drama. I appreciate the straightforward steps—pepperoni on top always wins.
Never made a pizza before, but this recipe worked great! My friends were impressed.
Is it really low-carb tho? My friend said it has too much cheese. But I liked it.
Keto pizza? More like ‘not pizza’! Just doesn’t taste right to me. I’ll stick to the real deal. 🍕
Mmmm, cheese! 🧀🍕
Almond flour?? Isn’t that just for fancy people? Whatever, my pizza came out nice anyway.
Just okay. Didn’t really hit the spot. I’ll pass next time.
Keto pizza? Sounds like a joke. Pizza needs carbs, people! This was a letdown. 2 stars.
Pretty good, but my dough was super sticky. I added a little more almond flour and it fixed it. Would make again.
Glad you got it to work! I’ve noticed humidity can make keto crust dough stickier too—rolling it between parchment helps a lot.
400°F is perfect, but my crust took more like 14 minutes to brown. Still good though, especially with the bubbly mozzarella.
I’m glad you said that—mine took closer to 13–14 min too, so I was wondering if my oven runs hot/cold. 14 min seems normal for that crust to really brown.
1/4-inch thick is probably too thin for me—mine cracked when I tried to move it. Still delicious, just fragile.
Oof yeah, 1/4-inch is super touchy. I usually aim closer to 1/3 inch so it doesn’t crack when you move it—glad it still tasted great though!
That cracking is probably from rolling too thin and maybe not letting it set on the pan long enough. I’ve found it helps to cool it 3-5 minutes before moving.
No sauce flavor—maybe I needed more tomato sauce or some Italian seasoning. Pepperoni helped though.
It was okay, but the dough didn’t really taste like pizza. Maybe I did something wrong?
Wow, this pizza was amazing! I’m on a keto diet and this really hit the spot. Just like real pizza!
This pizza is so good! I can’t believe how easy it was to make. My family devoured it! 5 stars!
400°F felt a bit hot for my oven; the edges got dark at minute 10. Next time I’ll check earlier, but taste was on point.
