Hashed Brussels Sprouts Recipe

November 19, 2025

Hashed Brussels sprouts recipe with lemon is a bright and simple dish that turns a humble vegetable into something lively and flavorful. It starts with finely shredded Brussels sprouts, which cook quickly and develop a tender yet slightly crisp texture. When prepared this way, they lose any bitterness and instead take on a mild, nutty taste that pairs beautifully with citrus. The dish feels light but still satisfying, making it an easy option for weeknight meals or a refreshing side for heavier mains.

Cooking hashed Brussels sprouts is straightforward. A skillet with a bit of olive oil or butter is enough to soften the shredded sprouts while keeping their edges golden. As they cook, they release a gentle aroma that hints at sweetness, especially when the heat caramelizes some of the thin shreds. Many home cooks like to add garlic or shallots, which meld nicely with the sprouts and give the dish more depth. A pinch of salt and pepper helps balance everything and lets the natural flavors shine through.

The key element here is the lemon. Adding zest gives the dish a fragrant brightness, and a squeeze of fresh juice wakes up all the flavors. The acidity cuts through any richness and creates a clean finish that keeps the dish from feeling heavy. Some cooks add a sprinkle of Parmesan or toasted nuts, which complement the lemony notes and add texture without overwhelming the freshness. Red pepper flakes are another small touch that brings a hint of warmth if you like a bit of heat.

This dish fits into many meals because of its versatility. It works well alongside lemon herb roasted chicken, fish, or pasta and can even be enjoyed on its own as a light lunch. It is also a great option for holiday tables when you want something that contrasts with richer sides. The shredded texture makes it easy to mix with grains or fold into warm salads, giving you plenty of ways to enjoy it beyond the basic preparation.

Hashed Brussels sprouts recipe with lemon is proof that a few simple ingredients can create a dish that is vibrant, fresh, and memorable. With its quick cooking time, clean flavor, and satisfying texture, it brings brightness to any meal and makes Brussels sprouts feel exciting again.

I think this is a misleading recipe. I mean, where’s the meat? :/

  20. 4 stars
Not gonna lie, Brussels sprouts always scare me, but this was easy. The thin slicing helps a lot. Would eat again.

    1. User avatar Alden Reinger says:

      5 stars
Same—Brussels sprouts intimidate me too 😅 but thin slicing is the cheat code. Gonna try this next time!

  21. User avatar Galaxia Woonbeam says:

    2 stars
Brussels sprouts should be roasted, not pan-cooked. This felt bland until I added extra salt and some red pepper flakes.

  24. User avatar Peregrin Took says:

This dish is so delicious! I never knew brussels sprouts could taste this good. A family favorite now!

  25. User avatar Charles Darwin says:

Meh, I expected more. It was just okay, nothing special. Maybe I overcooked the sprouts?

  26. User avatar cassandra.schroeder27 says:

    5 stars
Delicious! I followed the timing and got that perfect tender-crisp texture. The lemon really brightens the whole dish.

  27. User avatar Doloris Wisozk says:

Cn we sujest another type of sprout? Bc I don’t like these ones. 😕

    1. User avatar danial.toy66 says:

      4 stars
You could try using shredded cabbage instead! It gives a nice crunch too. 😊

    2. User avatar bobbi.hane62 says:

      3 stars
Why not just try cooking them differently? You might like them if you bake or roast them! 🤔

  28. 1 star
idk why people like brussel sprouts, they taste bitter. This recipe didn’t change my mind.

    1. User avatar kandice.swaniawski says:

      3 stars
Bitter?? Nah, you’re just cooking them wrong! Add more salt or try bacon, that always helps. 🤷‍♂️

    2. User avatar leigh.rodriguez57 says:

      4 stars
I totally get that! Brussels sprouts can be an acquired taste. Maybe try roasting them next time? It can bring out a different flavor!

  29. User avatar guillermo.powlowski2003 says:

    3 stars
I followed the steps but my sprouts weren’t as bright green after 10 minutes—maybe my heat was too low? Still good though, just not the look I wanted.

  30. User avatar rosy.batz85 says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, Brussels sprouts are always a gamble for me. This was okay, lemon helped, but I wanted more seasoning—like maybe chili flakes or parmesan.

    1. User avatar lionel.nikolaus2007 says:

      5 stars
Totally get the “gamble” part—these can turn out bland or weird if the seasoning’s light. I think chili flakes would be a great move here, and parmesan would add that salty punch the lemon alone can’t. Next time I’d do a little more salt/pepper right at the beginning too.

  31. 3 stars
Good recipe, but I think it needs more garlic. Mine wasn’t very strong.

    1. User avatar louis.champlin says:

      3 stars
More garlic? Really? I thought it was just enough. But hey, everyone has their taste.

    2. 5 stars
I totally agree! I always add extra garlic to my recipes. It really brings out the flavor! 🌟

  32. User avatar noel.lindgren96 says:

    5 stars
simple and tasty, I added some bacon bits for flavor, yumm!

  33. 2 stars
Too much lemon for my taste, the bitterness didn’t mix well.

    1. User avatar irma.okuneva2015 says:

      4 stars
I love lemon, but I get how it can be overpowering sometimes! Maybe a little less next time? 😊

  34. User avatar frederic.stark1973 says:

    5 stars
I added some Parmesan cheese on top and it was amazing! Highly recommend!

  35. User avatar jennifer.steuber92 says:

    3 stars
Not bad but I like my brussels with bacon. That makes it better! Just sayin!

  36. User avatar evette.kuhlman15 says:

    3 stars
Very easy recipe! But brussels are still kinda weird to me.

    1. 3 stars
Weird? Nah, they just need the right seasoning! But I still don’t like them lol.

    2. User avatar lamont.casper30 says:

      5 stars
I used to think brussels sprouts were gross, but this recipe changed my mind! The lemon really helps!

  38. User avatar holly.hoppe1986 says:

    4 stars
I added some parmesan cheese on top, and it was AMAZING! 🤤 Going to use this as my go to side dish.

  39. User avatar Janise Ryan says:

    5 stars
Yum! Perfect side for my meat dishes. Love the simplicity of the recipe too. Thanks for sharing!

  40. User avatar isaiah.beahan68 says:

    4 stars
I’m a skeptic with anything ‘hashed’—sounds fancy for nothing. But honestly, stirring occasionally helped and they browned nicely.

  41. 3 stars
I followed the steps but mine didn’t get that “bright green” look, more like a soft green-brown. Still tasted okay though. Maybe my heat was too high?

    1. User avatar giovanni.ondricka says:

      4 stars
Maybe you cooked them too long? Mine always goes dark-ish if I let it sit. Try turning the heat down and stirring more often, and don’t overdo the garlic either. Still, if it tasted good… who cares 😅

    2. User avatar dallas.schimmel51 says:

      5 stars
That makes sense—Brussels can turn more olive/green-brown if the pan runs hot and they start browning instead of staying bright. Medium heat (and a decent stir) should keep them greener. Also, thin slicing helps!

  42. User avatar ward.legros says:

    4 stars
The recipe is fine, but I think 1 clove garlic is kinda stingy. I’d use at least 2 if you like garlic. Also I added a pinch of red pepper flakes.

  43. 5 stars
Made this for my family and they all went for seconds! Def a keeper.

  44. 1 star
Brussels sprouts are gross. This recipe won’t change my mind. 1 star.

    1. User avatar Arie Hegmann says:

      3 stars
1 star is harsh! I used to hate ’em too, but this recipe with lemon sounds refreshing. You might be surprised!

    2. User avatar juliana.paucek68 says:

      4 stars
Have you ever tried them roasted with a bit of balsamic? It can totally change the flavor! Give it another shot. 😊

Isn’t this just sauteed cabbage? I don’t get the hype.

  46. User avatar jeanice.howe says:

Easy to follow and quick to make. Perfect side dish for my grilled chicken! Will make again 🙂

    1. User avatar terrence.lesch24 says:

      5 stars
Glad you liked it! This is one of my go-to sides too. Easy and tasty!

  47. 4 stars
I skimped on lemon juice and added some cheese. Still very tasty!

  48. User avatar reyes.ebert57 says:

    5 stars
This was yummm, I love brussel sprouts! So fresh and zesty with lemon!

  49. User avatar augustus.paucek says:

    4 stars
Not bad, but I think 8-10 minutes is a range—mine needed more like 14 to get tender. Still good though.

    1. User avatar marcene.murazik says:

      5 stars
Good call—brussels can be stubborn. Mine also took closer to 12-15 minutes depending on thickness.

    2. User avatar david.ohara1962 says:

      4 stars
8-10 is impossible for me 😅 I did high heat and still they weren’t tender till like 14-16. Flavor’s still great tho.

  50. User avatar neal.kilback94 says:

    5 stars
My kids even ate them! What sorcery is this? 😂

    1. User avatar Charles Darwin says:

      2 stars
I dunno, my kids won’t touch brussels sprouts no matter what! 🤷‍♂️

    2. User avatar geri.stroman1954 says:

      5 stars
This recipe is a game changer! My kids usually hate veggies 😄

  51. User avatar peter.wehner2022 says:

    3 stars
Cooked for 8 minutes like the recipe says. Mine got a little soft instead of crisp, but seasoning was solid. Easy weeknight food.

  52. User avatar Super Saiyan 2 Goku says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I think 1 clove garlic is too little—next time I’ll use 2. Also I added lemon a bit too early once and it got kinda sharp.

  53. 3 stars
I thought lemon juice was just for drinks! Who knew?

  54. 3 stars
Easy to make but I think I needed more spices! Mine was kinda bland. Next time, more garlic??

  55. 2 stars
Meh. I’m not a fan of just sautéed veggies. Would’ve been better with cheese or bacon or something.

    1. User avatar Aurelion Sol says:

      4 stars
Totally get it—brussels can feel a bit plain when they’re only sautéed. The lemon helps though, and if you add bacon or cheese after cooking (or even a sprinkle of parmesan at the end), it’ll level it up fast.

    2. 3 stars
I actually like it the way it is. It’s called hashed brussels, not “cheesy bacon brussels” 😅. Also brussels are supposed to be cooked until tender, not drenched. Salt/pepper + lemon is enough for me.

  56. User avatar liana.boyle says:

    2 stars
Brussels sprouts are fine, but mine stayed a little bitter even with the lemon. Maybe I undercooked? Or maybe I used the wrong kind of lemon juice…

  57. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    1 star
Ugh, I dunno about this recipe. I tried it and the brussels sprouts turned mushy. Followed the instructions 2 a T, not cool.

    1. User avatar Vladimir Harkonnen says:

      4 stars
I’ve made this before and it was great! Maybe try cooking them for less time next time?

    2. User avatar Mr. Prosser says:

      3 stars
Mushy? Really? They should be tender, not mush. Sounds like you might have cooked them too long. Just saying.

  58. User avatar ilene.braun says:

    5 stars
This turned out way better than I expected—crispy in spots, tender in others, and the lemon really wakes up the sprouts. Easy weeknight side!

  59. 1 star
Brussels sprouts are gross. Nope, not for me. lol

  60. User avatar King Daltus says:

    4 stars
Pretty simple and tasty. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes and it was perfect for my husband’s taste. Definitely a repeat.

      5 stars
That sounds awesome—simple but flavorful. I love adding red pepper flakes to Brussels sprouts too, gives it a nice little kick. Thanks for confirming it’s a repeat recipe!

  61. User avatar asuncion.moen says:

    4 stars
Pretty tasty! I added a pinch of red pepper flakes because why not. 8-10 minutes was right for me, tender but not mushy.

    1. User avatar andres.jones81 says:

      5 stars
Glad you liked it! Red pepper flakes sound perfect with the lemon—definitely “why not.” I’m also with you on that 8–10 minutes sweet spot.

  62. 3 stars
I followed the recipe but it turned out mushy. Maybe my sprouts were too old? 🤔

  63. User avatar dorine.littel1986 says:

    3 stars
Wait, do you really need to trim them? I just buy pre-packed ones. Seems like extra work. 🤨

    1. User avatar lamar.muller says:

      4 stars
Trimming is sorta important to get rid of the tough outer leaves. But hey, if you like the pre-packed ones, go for it! No hating! 😊

  64. User avatar leanna.macgyver says:

    1 star
Brusels sprout are nasty! Why would anyone eat these? 😝

  65. User avatar piper.gottlieb78 says:

    1. User avatar shirley.dickens35 says:

      4 stars
Brussels sprouts are actually really good when cooked right! Give it a chance! You might be surprised!

I dunno, I think these sprouts taste bitter. Maybe I cooked them too long?

    1. User avatar steve_maga says:

      4 stars
Maybe you did. I usually suggest cooking them for less time if you find them bitter. They should be tender, not mushy!

  67. User avatar isis.parker1996 says:

Super easy. Tastes fresh! I’d eat this all the time.

  70. User avatar candace.oconner2016 says:

    3 stars
Super easy to make, but a bit too tangy for my taste. Next time I might use less lemon. 🍋

    1. User avatar elmer.kreiger1975 says:

      4 stars
I totally agree! The lemon made it a bit strong. I used way too much last time and couldn’t enjoy it. Less lemon is def the way to go! 🍋

  71. User avatar halflife4 says:

    5 stars
Wow, this is actually so easy. I’m not a cook, but I managed it and it tasted like restaurant sides.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—this one is shockingly simple. I did it exactly as written and the lemon at the end really makes it taste “fancy” for basically zero effort.

    2. User avatar Michael83 says:

      3 stars
Maybe I did something wrong, but mine was kind of bland. I used bottled lemon juice (oops) and I didn’t mince the garlic super fine—still edible though. Any tips for getting that more “restaurant” flavor?

  72. User avatar Gilberto Morar PhD says:

    4 stars
Easy recipe, I made this with my kids. They enjoyed it! 🙂

  73. 5 stars
My husband even liked it and he hates veggies. Five stars!

  74. 5 stars
Not gonna lie, I thought Brussels would be bland… but the garlic + lemon combo actually works. Great quick side.

  75. 5 stars
These Brussels sprouts are amazing! The lemon adds such a fresh flavor. Definitely a keeper! 🌟

  76. 4 stars
Finally found a veggie dish I like!! Perfect with dinner.

Veggie dish? Ain’t no way that’s good. Brussels sprouts are gross!

  77. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    2 stars
salt and pepper to taste—okay but like, how much? I had to guess. Ended up needing more salt than I thought.

  78. 5 stars
Absolutely loved it. I cooked them until a little char happened and it tasted restaurant-y. Will make again for sure.

    1. 5 stars
Yesss—those little char bits are the best. Glad it came out super “restaurant-y”! I’m stealing this for next time 😄

  79. 5 stars
Honestly, this tastes better than it sounds. The lemon makes it feel fresh and not like a sad veggie.

  80. User avatar eduardo.murazik1978 says:

Tried this tonight and it’s super simple but tastes really bright. The lemon at the end makes it pop. I salted a little more than usual—perfect with dinner.

These Brussels sprouts are amazing! I added some chili flakes and it made it even better! 🎉

Brussels sprouts are always a gamble for me, but this worked. I wish the recipe said whether to cover the pan or not.

  87. 1 star
    brussel sprouts are overrated lol.

You’re crazy! Brussels sprouts are amazing, especially with lemon! 🍋

  88. User avatar alphonse.roberts says:

This was pretty good, but I think the lemon was a bit too much for me. Maybe I will reduce it next time.

I loved it! The lemon really added a fresh touch. But I guess it’s all about personal taste.

Lemon? Y u use so much? Just a lil bit is enough! But hey, do what works for ya.

  89. User avatar blake.hermiston6 says:

Wow, these are delicious! Who knew brussels sprouts could taste this good? The lemon really brightens up the dish! Will make again for sure.

    1. User avatar clement.mclaughlin says:

      2 stars
I dunno… I still think brussels sprouts are kinda gross. Maybe I just had them wrong before?

    2. User avatar leatrice.anderson87 says:

      5 stars
Absolutely! I was shocked at how good brussels sprouts could be! The lemon is a game changer. 😍

  90. 2 stars
Tried this recipe but my sprouts were mushy. Maybe I cooked them too long? Not sure I’ll make it again.

  91. User avatar Aleta Douglas says:

    2 stars
Way too much lemon for me. I used only half a tablespoon and it was better. Next time I’ll go even lighter on the acid.

  92. 3 stars
Just made it but my sprouts were kinda soggy. Did I overcook them? What did I do wrong??

  93. User avatar arnulfo.kuphal87 says:

    5 stars
This is the kind of veggie side that makes people stop complaining 😅. I served it with chicken and it disappeared fast.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree 😄 The lemon really wakes up the brussels—served mine with roast chicken too and it vanished fast. I’ll definitely make this again!

  94. User avatar kenisha.morissette says:

    3 stars
Good idea, but mine browned way too fast on medium heat. Next time I’ll lower it and stir more often.

  95. User avatar Dan Streetmentioner says:

These turned out way better than I expected—crispy edges with a nice tender bite. The lemon really wakes it up. Will make again!

  96. User avatar Max Quordlepleen says:

Tastes good but took longer than I thought. Brusses spruts take time! 😂

    1. User avatar laraine.white says:

I totally get you! Brussels sprouts always seem to take forever. But they’re so worth it! 😂

  97. User avatar andria.mcclure says:

    3 stars
I thought it needed more salt. Taste felt flat. Could be better.

  98. User avatar Cleveland Abbott says:

    2 stars
I gave it a shot, but honestly, the lemon was way too strong for my taste.

    1. User avatar enoch.haag26 says:

      4 stars
I totally get it! The lemon can be quite overpowering sometimes. Maybe next time try using less lemon juice?

  99. User avatar lizzette.king92 says:

5 stars just for how fast it is. I even did it while doing laundry, like multitasking chef 😅

Sounds healthy but why so much oil? I prefer it dry. Won’t be making this.

    1. User avatar filomena.mcdermott56 says:

      4 stars
I get what you mean! I usually don’t like a lot of oil either. Maybe try using less next time?

  101. User avatar Cedric Hahn says:

    3 stars
I followed the recipe but my garlic burned at the 1-minute mark. The sprouts were okay, just not as fragrant. Maybe my pan runs hot.

  102. User avatar bryan.klein51 says:

    5 stars
Simple and actually delicious—those thin slices get nice and tender without feeling mushy. The lemon at the end really pops.

    1. User avatar Lyla Waters says:

      3 stars
I tried it but mine felt more like soggy cabbage 😕 maybe I sliced them too thick or cooked too long. Still, the lemon helped a lot.

    2. User avatar rocco.johns62 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—thin slices cook fast and still have that bite. I also toss in a pinch of red pepper flakes at the end and it’s even better.

  103. 5 stars
This is such a simple side but it tastes restaurant-level. The lemon at the end really wakes everything up!

  104. 4 stars
Tasty! I used honey instead of lemon juice and liked it better.

  105. User avatar dorian.zboncak2 says:

    4 stars
I followed it mostly, but I added a pinch of chili flakes and it was awesome. 8-10 minutes was perfect for my pan.

    1. User avatar jimmy.koelpin1979 says:

      3 stars
I did it but maybe overcooked mine… 8-10 minutes felt too long for my pan. Also I used lemon pepper instead of juice and it tasted okay but not the same. Still, good idea.

    2. 5 stars
Yes! Chili flakes with lemon + Brussels sounds like the perfect little kick. I always forget to add heat to veggie sides 😄

  106. User avatar chuck.west1973 says:

I didn’t have fresh lemons so I used bottled—still good, but not as punchy. Next time I’ll squeeze the real thing.

    1. User avatar Michael83 says:

      3 stars
Hmm bottled lemon juice always tastes a bit weird to me. But if it got the job done, it’s fine. Next time try zest too—real lemon makes it pop.

    2. User avatar britni.bogan18 says:

      4 stars
I’ve done the same with bottled lemon juice—works in a pinch, but yeah the flavor isn’t as bright. Totally agree: fresh lemons = way more “punch.”

  107. User avatar bradley.kris98 says:

    5 stars
Five stars. Like, no joke. The garlic smelled amazing and the sprouts came out tender without getting mushy.

  108. User avatar Rob McKenna says:

    4 stars
I was skeptical about “hashed” brussels, but the skillet browning actually gives them great texture. Mine took closer to 12 minutes though—still delicious.

    1. User avatar albert.reilly64 says:

      5 stars
Good call—“hashed” can sound weird, but browning really is the magic. I also noticed mine usually runs a bit longer than the time listed (mine was around 11-13). The lemon at the end keeps them tasting fresh though!

  109. 4 stars
Quick and tasty! I used regular olive oil (not extra virgin) because that’s what I had and it was still good. Would add red pepper flakes next time.

  110. 1 star
Disagree. Brussels sprouts always smell like cabbage no matter what, so lemon won’t save it.

    1. User avatar granville.hammes1999 says:

      4 stars
I get what you mean, but I wouldn’t call it “always.” If they’re cooked hot and get some caramelization, plus that fresh lemon at the end, the cabbagey smell is way less noticeable for me.

  111. User avatar rocky.harvey44 says:

    4 stars
So good! I didn’t trim as carefully (oops) but still turned out great. Quick weekday win.

  112. User avatar byron.ratke says:

    3 stars
Meh. I expected more “hashed” browning, but it was more steamed than crisp for me. Maybe my pan wasn’t hot enough.

    1. User avatar jacqueline.kohler39 says:

      4 stars
Yeah, I’ve had that happen too—when the pan isn’t screaming hot, the sprouts steam instead of really crisping. Next time, try a hotter skillet (and maybe don’t overcrowd), and stir less so the cut sides can actually brown.

  113. 2 stars
I didn’t love it—too lemony for me and the texture was just okay. I wanted more browning/char.

  114. User avatar gregory.renner93 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but mine came out a little soggy. I think I overcrowded the pan, so I’ll try cooking in batches next time.

    1. User avatar salvador.lockman32 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—when I crowd the pan they steam instead of getting that nice hashed texture. Cooking in batches is the move. I also like to make sure the skillet is properly hot before adding the sprouts.

  115. User avatar ossie.frami says:

    3 stars
Good idea, but it felt a little bland unless I oversalted. Also, I think “to taste” should be more specific because I always guess wrong.

  116. User avatar Aubrey Greenholt says:

    5 stars
So easy. 8 minutes and done. My kid asked for seconds (rare!), so I’m calling it a win.

  117. User avatar ginny.monahan says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, I thought “hashed” meant like it would be more creamy or cheesy? Still good though. Garlic could use a tiny bit more for my taste.

  118. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

    2 stars
Honestly… it was kinda bland. I used fresh lemon and everything. Maybe I didn’t salt enough? 🤷‍♂️

    1. 3 stars
Totally possible you just needed a bit more salt—Brussels can be kinda stubborn. Also, did you maybe keep stirring/heat steady? If they didn’t get some browning, lemon can taste sharper and salt won’t feel like it “fixes” it.

  119. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    4 stars
Simple and tasty. The garlic + lemon combo is perfect. I used a little extra salt at the end because my lemons were kinda mild.

    1. User avatar sebastian.kshlerin73 says:

      3 stars
Mmm sounds good, but I think 8-10 minutes might make mine a lil too soft unless I slice them really thin. Also I always add pepper from the start—does that change anything?

    2. 5 stars
Totally agree—garlic + lemon is such a good combo. I’ve found finishing with a tiny extra squeeze of lemon really wakes them up (especially if the lemons aren’t super punchy).

  120. 4 stars
This is my go-to when I want something quick. I’ll add a splash of balsamic sometime, but the base recipe is solid.

  121. 4 stars
Good flavor, but I think I needed a bit more time to get that “hashed” browning. Still tasty though—will try cooking hotter next time.

  122. User avatar Jonna Schuppe says:

    2 stars
meh. Mine didn’t get very tender after 10 minutes, and they were kinda bitter. I’m sure I did something wrong but I won’t rush to remake.

  123. User avatar hosea.collins says:

    3 stars
The garlic burns if you’re not careful—ask me how I know 😅. Still ate it though. Maybe lower heat?

  124. User avatar joleen.batz88 says:

    5 stars
My whole family ate brussels without complaining (which is basically a miracle). I used fresh garlic and fresh lemon—highly recommend not skipping those.

    1. User avatar adela.hansen says:

      3 stars
Not gonna lie I tried brussels once and they tasted kinda bitter. Does it still happen with this? I might add a pinch of sugar or butter, unless the lemon fixes it.

    2. 5 stars
Haha a miracle indeed 😄 Fresh garlic + lemon really does make them way better. I usually roast, but this quick skillet method sounds perfect for weeknights.

  125. User avatar goldie.sanford42 says:

Pretty healthy side, and I liked the bright green color. I didn’t have fresh lemon so I used bottled—still worked, just less zingy.

  126. User avatar francis.jerde7 says:

    5 stars
Made this tonight and it’s seriously so good—quick, bright, and the lemon makes the Brussels feel way less bitter. I even crisped them a bit more by not stirring for a few minutes.

  127. User avatar kindra.jacobs2010 says:

    5 stars
I used a little extra garlic and it turned out perfect. Next time I might add red pepper flakes for some heat.

  128. 3 stars
I burned the garlic on the first try 🙃 but once I lowered the heat it was great. Watch that step!

    1. User avatar cody.shanahan says:

      5 stars
Yes! Garlic goes from perfect to burnt in like 30 seconds 😂 Medium heat really is the move.
