Buffalo Chicken Wings
A classic appetizer featuring spicy buffalo sauce and tender chicken wings.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 1 cup hot sauce
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until the butter is melted, stirring occasionally.
- In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches and fry for 12-15 minutes, or until crispy and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss until the wings are evenly coated in the sauce.
- Serve the buffalo chicken wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
