Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour for dredging
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper fresh ground
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs panko
- 2 pcs chicken thighs boneless, skinless
- 2 cups oil for frying
- 2 waffles homemade or store-bought
- 1 tbsp cream cheese for serving
- to taste ketchup for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix with buttermilk.
- Dip each chicken thigh in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken thighs for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain fried chicken on paper towels.
- Toast or prepare the waffles as per instructions.
- Serve the fried chicken on top of the waffles, with cream cheese and ketchup.
