Tiramisu Chia Pudding is a delicious, healthier twist on the classic Italian dessert. It combines the rich flavors of coffee, cocoa, and vanilla with the nutritional benefits of chia seeds, creating a treat that feels indulgent but is packed with goodness. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack, this layered pudding offers the creamy texture and bold flavors of tiramisu without the heaviness of traditional recipes.
The base of this chia pudding starts with chia seeds soaked in a mixture of plant-based milk, a splash of vanilla, and a bit of sweetener. As the seeds absorb the liquid, they transform into a thick, creamy pudding that serves as the perfect canvas for layering. A touch of espresso or strong brewed coffee is added to part of the mixture, bringing in that signature tiramisu flavor. The combination of creamy vanilla layers and coffee-infused layers creates the perfect contrast in every bite.
To mimic the mascarpone element found in traditional tiramisu, a creamy layer is made using dairy-free yogurt, coconut cream, or a mixture of yogurt and nut butter. This layer adds richness and balances the coffee flavor beautifully. Once the pudding and cream layers are prepared, they are alternately spooned into jars or glasses, giving it that elegant, layered tiramisu look.
A generous dusting of cocoa powder on top is essential, adding a slightly bitter contrast that complements the sweetness of the pudding. For an extra treat, you can top it with shaved dark chocolate, a sprinkle of crushed nuts, or even a splash of coffee liqueur for a more decadent version.
Tiramisu Chia Pudding is not only delicious but also nutritious. Chia seeds are packed with fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids, making this dessert both satisfying and good for you. It’s the perfect make-ahead option since it needs time to set, making it great for meal prep. Whether enjoyed as a wholesome breakfast or a guilt-free dessert, this pudding delivers on both flavor and texture.

Delicious.
Great recipe
This tastes way closer to tiramisu than I expected. The coffee + vanilla combo is on point, and the cocoa dust makes it feel fancy.
Right?? The coffee + vanilla really nails that tiramisu vibe. The cocoa dust at the end is a total chef’s kiss.
I dunno, I tried something like this before and it was all chia texture… but yours sounds better. How strong is the coffee? Like, can you taste it or is it mild?
Delicious! Just made it for my friends and they loved it! I think I’ll try adding coconut next time. 😋
This is my new favorite dessert! Super easy to make and so tasty. 5 stars!
Can you make it without the almond milk? I’m allergic and wanna try.
I don’t know… 5-10 min then stir then overnight? Too much step for me. Also I forgot to cover it and the top got weird, lol.
This is such a clever tiramisu workaround. The coffee + cocoa combo tastes way more legit than I expected, and the texture actually gets pudding-y overnight.
Okay this actually sounds really good?? Coffee + cocoa in chia pudding is such a smart idea. Overnight texture getting pudding-y is exactly what I want from it.
Okie dokie! 😋
I love chia pudding, but tiramisu? Really? Seems like a weird combo. Didn’t enjoy it. 🤷♂️
Yummy! Add more cocoa next time for a richer taste. Thanks for the recipe!
I didn’t have mascarpone cheese, used cream cheese instead, it was ok.
Cream cheese is a good substitute! Did it change the taste much?
I don’t get why people put chia seeds in everything now. It’s kinda gross, to be honest.
Too much ingredients for a simple dish. But its ok. I guess.
I found it simple enough! Just takes a bit of patience. But I get what you mean!
This recipe says ‘overnight’, but who waits that long? I tried it after 2 hours, that’s all I could manage. Still yummy!
I’ve always been one for instant satisfaction too! Glad to hear it still tasted good. I’ll try it your way next time.
But what if it’s not as good tho? Overnight is part of the recipe!! I don’t know, I wouldn’t risk it.
I gotta say, I was skeptical at first. But this turned out really good! Will make again.
Good but my kids didn’t like it, they said it looks weird LOL.
Looks weird but tastes good! Kids can be picky, you should try adding some chocolate or fruit next time!
Wow, this looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it out! Tiramisu is my fav!
Chia seeds? Aren’t those like little bugs? How can this be any tasty? 🤨
I love tiramisu too! This sounds like a healthier twist. Can’t wait to make it! 🌟
Chia seeds? I thought those were bad. I heard they swell in your stomach and choke you, is that true?
Not bad, but the coffee flavor is kinda harsh if your powder isn’t fully dissolved. Also, I accidentally forgot the vanilla once—still fine, but definitely less dessert-y.
I did the vanilla-omit thing too 😅—wasn’t horrible, just more “coffee pudding” than dessert. Also I didn’t stir after 10 min once and it clumped, so yeah… gotta follow that part.
Totally agree—if the coffee powder isn’t dissolved first, it can taste a little bitey. I started warming the water just a bit more and whisking it until smooth before adding. Game changer for me.
