A delicious twist on a classic dessert, this Chocolate and Hazelnut Tiramisu combines rich layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a creamy mascarpone filling and a hint of hazelnut flavor, topped with a dusting of cocoa.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams mascarpone cheese
  • 150 grams ladyfingers savoiardi
  • 100 grams dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 50 grams sugar granulated
  • 3 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur optional
  • 30 grams cocoa powder for dusting
  • 50 grams chocolate shredded

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk mascarpone and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the brewed coffee and hazelnut liqueur (if using) to a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the mixture, ensuring they are well-soaked but not falling apart.
  • Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers into the base of a serving dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, and sprinkle with half of the chopped dark chocolate.
  • Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with shredded chocolate.
