A delicious twist on a classic dessert, this Chocolate and Hazelnut Tiramisu combines rich layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a creamy mascarpone filling and a hint of hazelnut flavor, topped with a dusting of cocoa.
In a bowl, whisk mascarpone and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the brewed coffee and hazelnut liqueur (if using) to a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the mixture, ensuring they are well-soaked but not falling apart.
Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers into the base of a serving dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, and sprinkle with half of the chopped dark chocolate.
Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with shredded chocolate.
