Baked Brie is a delightful and easy-to-make appetizer perfect for any gathering. It features warm, gooey Brie cheese with a crisp, golden exterior. Often served with crackers or bread, it’s an elegant dish that will impress your guests.

This dish is perfect for holiday celebrations, casual get-togethers, or as a sophisticated snack for a cozy night in. The beauty of Baked Brie with Pecans lies in its simplicity, just a few ingredients come together to create a decadent treat that’s sure to impress your guests.

The brie, when baked, softens into a rich, velvety cheese that’s perfect for spreading onto crackers, bread, or even apple slices. The addition of pecans brings a lovely, crunchy texture and a touch of sweetness. Toasting the pecans just before baking them with the brie enhances their natural flavor, adding a warm, nutty depth to the dish. A drizzle of honey or maple syrup can be added to balance the savory richness of the cheese with a hint of sweetness, making this appetizer even more irresistible.

What’s wonderful about Baked Brie with Pecans is that it’s incredibly easy to prepare, requiring minimal effort for maximum flavor. Simply place the brie on a baking sheet, top it with chopped pecans, and bake until the cheese is gooey and the nuts are toasted. The result is a perfect balance of creamy, crunchy, and sweet, with every bite offering a satisfying mix of flavors and textures.

You can also customize this dish to suit your taste. If you want a bit of tang, add a dollop of fig jam or cranberry sauce on top before baking. The contrast of the tart fruit with the creamy cheese and crunchy pecans adds another layer of flavor that’s both refreshing and indulgent. Whether served as an appetizer or a dessert, Baked Brie with Pecans is always a crowd-pleaser that feels both elegant and accessible.

I wrapped mine in bacon instead of pastry and it was incredible. Gotta try that!

  2. 4 stars
Didnt have honey so used sugar… it wasn’t as sweet. Still good tho.

  3. User avatar leonel.kovacek1991 says:

    5 stars
This is such a simple yet delish recipe! I can’t believe how good the brie was with honey!

  4. 4 stars
Love baked brie! I’m allergic to nuts tho so I skipped the pecans. Still turned out great!

    1. User avatar monserrate.howell says:

      5 stars
I love that you found a way to make it work for you! Sounds delicious without the nuts too!

  5. 3 stars
Is 15 minutes really enough? Brie always takes forever for me 😅 Also my cheese kinda spilled out when I used pastry. Flavor was good though.

  6. 2 stars
Is Brie even a good cheese? I usually go for cheddar. Just my opinion.

    1. 5 stars
Brie is super creamy and good, way better than just cheddar! You should give it a try baked, it’s amazing!

    2. User avatar eden.emard1961 says:

      3 stars
I don’t know about that. Cheddar’s the classic, Brie seems fancy but not everyone likes it. Just saying!

  7. User avatar sharan.lindgren62 says:

    2 stars
Baked brie? More like baked cheese. What’s the big deal?!

  8. User avatar issac.deckow1 says:

    2 stars
Eh, it was alright… I burnt the pastry on my first try. Might not be the best cook, lol.

    1. User avatar aline.stark2015 says:

      4 stars
Don’t worry! Burning happens to the best of us. Next time, just keep an eye on it!

  9. User avatar angelita.price says:

    5 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about honey + brie. Turns out I’m just wrong sometimes. The pecans add a nice crunch too.

  10. User avatar Falmer Warmonger says:

    3 stars
I tried this and it came out a bit too gooey. Maybe it was my oven?

  11. 4 stars
I subbed honey for maple syrup and it was still yum! Will make again for sure.

    1. User avatar Tabitha Ortiz says:

      5 stars
Sounds delicious! I’ve tried it with honey too, and it turned out great. Glad you enjoyed it!

  12. User avatar grover.becker1974 says:

    5 stars
This recipe is a game changer! So creamy and delicious. Will definitely make again.

  13. User avatar hana.kihn1974 says:

    3 stars
Not sure about the pastry part. I wrapped mine and it came out a little soggy in spots, like the honey leaked. Still tasty though—just messy.

  14. 4 stars
Followed the 350°F for 15 mins and it was perfect—gooey but not totally melted into a puddle. Next time I’ll use a stronger jam (like fig).

  15. 1 star
👎 Not for me. I prefer my cheese cold.

  16. User avatar yuriko.moore97 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have pecans so I threw on some almonds and it was bomb!

    1. User avatar alphonso.luettgen63 says:

      5 stars
Almonds sound like a great substitute! I might try that next time.

  17. User avatar Humma Kavula says:

    2 stars
Baked Brie is overrated, don’t see what the fuss is all about. Just cheese, right?

    1. User avatar timothy.runolfsdottir6 says:

      5 stars
I totally disagree! Baked Brie is so creamy and delicious. It’s more than just cheese, it’s like a fancy treat!

    2. User avatar cecile.schinner53 says:

      2 stars
But like, it’s just cheese and some toppings. I don’t get the hype either. Seems like a lot of work for not much. 😕

  18. 5 stars
Used raspberry jam instead of honey. It was a GAME CHANGER! You gotta try it!

  19. User avatar kendall.hintz says:

    3 stars
I only had walnuts, so I used those instead of pecans. Worked fine, though the flavor is different. Next time I’ll chop them smaller.

  20. 3 stars
What do you mean bake it? I thought I was supposed to microwave it. Is there a microwave version? 🤔

    1. User avatar chantel.klein says:

      4 stars
Baking it gives a really nice texture! Microwaving can work, but it won’t be the same. You could try it, but beware of overheating! 🍽️

  21. 1 star
Um, what’s Brie? Is there substitute for that? Asking for my friend.

  22. 5 stars
Yummy! I used raspberry jam instead of honey, it was sooo good! 10/10!

  23. User avatar glenn.bayer1967 says:

    1 star
Um, can you bake cheddar instead? Asking for a friend. 😅

  24. User avatar leslie.greenholt66 says:

    3 stars
Quick and easy but kinda bland? Maybe try adding spices? Just a thought.

  25. 2 stars
I mean, how hard can it be? It just cheese and pastry. My brie turned into a puddle tho.

  26. 4 stars
I followed it pretty closely but my oven must run hot because the pastry browned fast. Still tasted great, just a bit darker than I wanted. Next time I’ll start checking at 10 min.

  27. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

    3 stars
I thought the recipe was easy to follow, but my pastry didn’t rise. Does puff pastry need something special to puff up?

    1. 3 stars
Honestly, I don’t think puff pastry is that hard. You might have just not cooked it long enough. It says 15 minutes but I usually do 20!

    2. 4 stars
I had the same problem! Make sure your puff pastry is cold and try not to overwork it. It should puff up nicely if you do it right!

  28. 3 stars
I tried it with jam but it came out too sweet. Maybe less honey next time?

    1. User avatar aura.sauer85 says:

      4 stars
You might be onto something with that! Maybe try using a sour jam instead of sweet one. Just wanna keep that balance, ya know?

    2. 3 stars
Or just skip the honey altogether! Cheese is great on its own. 😛

  29. 5 stars
A-MA-ZING. So good with crackers, really a crowd pleaser! Will make again.

  30. User avatar rene.fritsch20 says:

    5 stars
This is basically the best thing ever. I could eat it all day!

  31. 2 stars
Like who even eats Brie? I mean, is it really worth the hype? Just cheddar, please. 🙄

    1. User avatar Colin the Security Robot says:

      4 stars
But cheddar is like… the basic cheese! Brie has that fancy vibe, maybe that’s just what you’re missing. 😜

    2. User avatar nikia.raynor says:

      5 stars
I love Brie! It’s so creamy and delicious, way better than cheddar. You should give it a try, it might surprise you! 🤤

  32. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

    2 stars
Hmmm, didn’t come out as expected. My bread burnt while cheese was still hard. What didn’t I do right?

  33. User avatar Spriggan Matron says:

    4 stars
So easy, 10/10 recommend. Idk why it’s called baked brie tho, feels more like a fancy cheese dip.

    1. User avatar blake.volkman says:

      5 stars
Haha, right? It’s like a luxurious cheese dip! But man, it’s so good if you follow the recipe. Definitely a crowd-pleaser!

  34. User avatar liberal.hero says:

    4 stars
350°F seems a little low? Mine took closer to 22 minutes to get properly melty. But once it finally reached that stage, it was delicious and the honey caramelized.

    1. User avatar emerson.stanton24 says:

      5 stars
I get what you mean—350°F is kind of gentle. I usually go by “gooey” more than the timer too. If the pastry is thicker, it definitely needs extra minutes.

  35. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    4 stars
How do you not love baked brie? It’s so fancy yet easy! Loved it!

    1. User avatar thomas.frami6 says:

      5 stars
Baked brie is the best! It impresses everyone. I always add some cranberry sauce too!

    2. User avatar steven.watsica57 says:

      2 stars
I don’t know, it seems messy to me. Isn’t it just a fancy way to eat cheese? 🤔

  36. 2 stars
Not sure why everyone loves this. My cheese didn’t melt and the pastry was soggy. What a waste of time.

  37. User avatar lecia.carter98 says:

    1 star
Why would I bake Brie? Just eat it cold. Keeps the flavor. I don’t understand this recipe.

    1. User avatar Carrie Dababi says:

      5 stars
I get what you’re saying, but warm Brie is soooo good! It’s like a melty hug for your taste buds. 😍

  38. User avatar venita.herzog16 says:

    5 stars
Yummy! I didn’t even wait for it to cool down, I just dug in. 😂

  39. User avatar donnie.considine says:

    4 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about baking brie—thought it would get too runny. But letting it cool a few minutes helped a lot.

    1. 3 stars
I still think 15 minutes at 350°F is too long? Mine got super runny anyway and the pastry got kinda soggy. Maybe my brie was smaller? Not sure, but I’ll try cooling longer next time.

    2. User avatar darell.crooks says:

      5 stars
Yes! That “cool a few minutes” step is everything. I made it once and cut it right away… instant lava spill 😅 Now I wait and it’s perfect.

  40. User avatar glenn.mckenzie30 says:

    1 star
Why would you bake cheese? Just eat it cold, it’s way better. Not for me.

  41. User avatar Dorian Dickinson II says:

    3 stars
Can someone help me? What type of crackers are best? I’m clueless.

  42. 2 stars
I don’t get why people rave about Brie.. it’s just a fancy cheese. Not for me.

  43. User avatar richard.leannon says:

    4 stars
I just did this recipe, and it was super easy! Perfect for a girls night. I can’t believe how fancy it looked too.

    1. User avatar tempie.brekke97 says:

      5 stars
Sounds delicious! I’m gonna try this for my next gathering. Thanks for sharing!

  44. User avatar lynsey.mcglynn says:

    2 stars
350°F seems too low? Mine didn’t brown much even after 15 minutes. Maybe my oven runs cold, idk.

  45. User avatar teisha.bruen says:

    4 stars
The honey was a nice touch! My family loved it. I used balsamic glaze instead and it was still yum!

    1. User avatar hal.bosco91 says:

I’m glad you liked it! Balsamic glaze sounds like a creative twist. I might try that next time!

I just put it in the oven and forgot it. Now it’s burnt but still edible, lol. Oops!

  47. User avatar rich.landlord says:

    5 stars
This is dangerously easy. The brie turns all melty and the honey-pecan combo is legit fancy without effort.

  48. User avatar Clyde Davis says:

    5 stars
OMG, this is the best thing ever! I never knew Brie could be so good. 🙌

    4 stars
Yummy! But I forgot to add nuts. Still tasted great with just the honey tho.

  50. User avatar Kenneth Kuhn says:

    3 stars
I didn’t get the gooey part. My Brie didn’t melt properly. What did I do wrong?

    1. User avatar suzie.mayer36 says:

      4 stars
Maybe your oven temperature was off? Sometimes it doesn’t heat evenly. Try using a thermometer next time!

    2. 3 stars
Did you leave it in long enough? I usually bake mine for 20 mins at least. Gotta make sure it’s ooey-gooey!

  51. User avatar vonnie.bernhard14 says:

    3 stars
I didn’t let it cool enough and it kinda slid everywhere. Tastes good though. Maybe I should read the step right.

  52. User avatar alva.kozey92 says:

    5 stars
Easy peasy! Even my kids loved it! Perfect for a party.

    1. 2 stars
Looks nice but I can’t eat cheese. Can you make it without Brie? Is it even possible? 🤷‍♂️

    2. User avatar Miss Benton Reichel says:

      5 stars
I’m glad your kids liked it! Baked Brie is always a hit at parties. Did you use jam or honey? I love adding fruit too!

  56. User avatar lucilla.russel46 says:

  57. User avatar keisha.hartmann78 says:

    5 stars
Made it for a party and everyone kept asking where I got it. I used apricot jam instead of honey—10/10. Would bake again for sure.

    1. 4 stars
Wait, honey wasn’t even necessary? I always thought you had to use the honey so it caramelizes… but 10/10 with apricot jam sounds too good. Gonna try next time. Also, did you still bake it the full 15 mins?

    2. User avatar geoWizard says:

      5 stars
Love that! Apricot jam + brie is such a perfect combo. Glad it was a hit at your party 😊

  58. User avatar agustin.dicki46 says:

  65. User avatar Draugr Thrall says:

    5 stars
    Brie? In oven? uh wow—works!

  66. User avatar Piter De Vries says:

    2 stars
I did everything and it didnt melt right. Maybe my brie was too cold? Also 350 seems too high? Idk.

    1. User avatar Dwarven Centurion says:

      5 stars
Yeah, cold brie can totally mess with the melt. I usually take it out of the fridge like 30 mins before baking so it goes gooey faster.

  67. User avatar cherelle.casper says:

    5 stars
Super easy and quick recipe! My family couldn’t get enough. Will make again for sure!

  68. User avatar stan.grady71 says:

    1. User avatar Jaqueline Hyde says:

      4 stars
It might seem simple, but the flavors are amazing! Baked Brie is definitely more than just melted cheese. You should give it a try!

  70. User avatar Carson Stoltenberg II says:

    2 stars
Mine came out kinda messy, like the pastry went soggy. Also I didn’t have pecans so I used walnuts, and it was fine but not the same vibe.

    1. 4 stars
Ugh, sorry—soggy pastry usually means it’s getting too much moisture. Did you fully thaw/keep the puff pastry dry, and bake it on a hot tray for those 15 minutes? Next time I’d also pat the Brie dry a bit and maybe use slightly less honey so it doesn’t soak in.

  71. User avatar enola.yundt4 says:

    4 stars
Just okay. The puff pastry was a hassle to deal with. Prefer it without.

  72. User avatar Mr. Satan says:

    5 stars
This was AMAZING! So gooey and delicious. I used fig jam instead of honey and it was a hit!

  73. User avatar bryce.kihn says:

    5 stars
Made this for a small get-together and it vanished fast 😄 The honey + baked brie combo is honestly perfect, and the pecans add a nice crunch.

  74. User avatar ludivina.monahan says:

    4 stars
Really solid flavor combo, but my pastry got a little too dark at 15 minutes. Next time I’ll check at 10–12 minutes.

  75. User avatar Stilgar says:

    5 stars
This recipe is soooo easy! I made it for a party and it was gone in minutes! Hands down 5 stars! 🎉

Is 350°F enough? My oven’s kinda old. Food safety and all that…

    1. User avatar stacey.mosciski1998 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, that seems a bit low for cheese. You might wanna crank it higher if you want it gooey. Just my opinion tho.

    2. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

      5 stars
350°F should be fine! Just keep an eye on it, maybe check around the 10-minute mark if your oven’s old. Better safe than sorry! 😊

  77. User avatar Alex Williamson says:

    1 star
Brie? Is that a type of bread? I didn’t find this recipe helpful. Need simpler one.

    1. User avatar duncan.west14 says:

      3 stars
Yea, I thought it was bread too at first! But cheese is yummy. Just try it, its not that hard. Just gotta warm it up and it’s good!

    2. User avatar lester.rohan74 says:

      4 stars
Brie is actually a type of cheese, not bread! I get that the recipe might seem complicated, but it’s pretty straightforward if you follow the steps. Give it another shot!

Baked Brie is im priceless!! I mean, how can something so simple be so good??

  85. 4 stars
Mine didn’t get as gooey as I hoped—maybe I underbaked or my brie was bigger than 8 oz. Still tasted great though.

    1. User avatar jack.corkery says:

      4 stars
Ugh that’s frustrating! I’ve found brie size makes a huge difference—if it’s bigger than ~8 oz, it usually needs a couple extra minutes. Also, “gooey” is more like right when the top looks wobbly, not fully browned.

    2. User avatar Irma Pollich says:

      3 stars
Maybe you used the brie that’s already kinda firm? And 15 minutes feels short sometimes—my oven runs hot though, so idk. Mine gets gooey like a molten cloud every time. 😅

  86. User avatar mirna.predovic says:

    4 stars
Just did it. Easy af. 15 min was spot on for me. 😄

Nice! I love when the timing is actually accurate—15 min truly nails that gooey stage 😄

  87. User avatar kerry.auer37 says:

I used fig jam instead of honey, it worked fine. Cheese was gooey and delish.

  88. User avatar lucrecia.nader28 says:

Meh. Too sweet for me. I’d rather do garlic herbs and pepper. But I guess it’s good for parties.

  89. User avatar ArabianNights says:

    5 stars
This was the hit of the party! Everyone loved it! 😍

  90. 4 stars
The recipe says let it cool a few minutes… yeah I tried, but the cheese is basically molten lava. Still, I agree—tiny wait makes serving way less chaotic.

  91. User avatar june.spencer27 says:

    4 stars
Mine came out a little overcooked—pastry got super brown. Still tasty though, like sweet-and-buttery cheese heaven.

  92. User avatar keven.west50 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have pecans, so I used almonds. Still delicious!

  93. User avatar hae.terry says:

    4 stars
Sooo easy! I used store-bought jam, and it turned out delicious! Will make again!

  94. User avatar rocky.tillman30 says:

This recipe for Baked Brie is the best! I added some fig jam instead of honey, and it turned out divine. Totally recommend!

    1. 5 stars
I love the idea of using fig jam! Honey can be too sweet sometimes. Definitely gonna try this. Thanks for sharing!

  95. User avatar gemma.fadel says:

    2 stars
Baked it for 20 mins, then it exploded everywhere! 😱

    1. User avatar fernando.orn46 says:

      2 stars
I thought it was impossible for Brie to explode. Are you sure you followed the instructions right?

    2. User avatar bobby.johns1953 says:

      4 stars
Oh no! 😱 That’s the worst! Did you use too high of a temperature or maybe it was in too long?

  96. User avatar geoWizard says:

    5 stars
This is dangerously easy. The gooey brie situation is always a hit at parties—my guests devour it before I even open the crackers. Used fig jam and it was perfect.

  97. User avatar douglas.wilderman says:

    3 stars
Mine leaked all over the parchment 😅 still tasted good, but it got messy. I think I overdid the jam/honey and maybe the brie was too soft to start.

  98. 5 stars
OMG this is what I needed! Perfect for my wine night with the girls. 💖

  99. User avatar janay.purdy80 says:

    5 stars
Wow, super simple and it actually looks fancy. The honey + pecans combo is chef’s kiss. I baked mine 2-3 minutes longer though—perfectly gooey.

  100. User avatar keith.hegmann24 says:

    5 stars
This was amazing! Just perfect for our wine night! 🍷

  101. 5 stars
OMG!!! So gooey and delicious! This is my new favorite appetizer. I can’t stop eating it!

  102. User avatar kindra.dietrich1992 says:

    5 stars
This is dangerously easy. The honey + brie combo is so cozy, and the pecans add a nice crunch. I skipped the pastry and it still turned out great.

  103. User avatar kayleen.barton says:

    5 stars
This was sooo good! Served it at my party and everyone loved it! Definitely a hit!

  104. User avatar thi.padberg31 says:

    4 stars
I followed it pretty much exactly, but mine took closer to 20 minutes before it got truly gooey. Still super tasty though.

    1. User avatar elden.quigley says:

      3 stars
I’m not sure why yours took longer. 350°F for 15 should do it… unless your brie was way thicker? Also I accidentally used strawberry jam and it kind of burned on top but still edible lol.

    2. User avatar alden.lind46 says:

      5 stars
Same here! Mine also needed closer to 20 minutes—15 was just “soft,” but at ~20 it was properly melty. Totally agree on the taste 🔥

  105. User avatar annice.witting says:

    3 stars
Not sure if I like this… cheese with jam? Seems weird but people rave about it!

    1. User avatar Jamaal Wilderman says:

      5 stars
It’s actually super delicious! The sweetness of the jam really complements the creamy cheese. You should give it a try!

  106. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

    2 stars
Can you even call that a recipe? Just put cheese in the oven? 😂

    1. User avatar eldon.lubowitz64 says:

      2 stars
But is it really a recipe if you just bake cheese? Like, anyone can do that. 🙄

    2. User avatar lakita.stroman15 says:

      5 stars
It’s a total game-changer! The cheese gets so melty and gooey, it’s delicious! 😋

  107. User avatar lyndon.brekke32 says:

    2 stars
Not sure about the honey on cheese. Seems weird, but my friend loved it.

    1. User avatar houston.bergnaum says:

      5 stars
I was skeptical too, but trust me, honey on Brie is amazing! It really brings out the flavor. You should give it a try!

    2. User avatar stephany.greenfelder1978 says:

      2 stars
I dunno, honey and cheese? Sounds kinda gross to me. But if your friend liked it, maybe it’s just not for me.

  108. 5 stars
I used raspberry jam and toasted the pecans first—so good. Next time I might bake 2 minutes less so it doesn’t get too runny.

  109. User avatar terminatorXYZ says:

    5 stars
Amazing! Thought it would be hard but it was super easy! 👏

    1. User avatar masako.kshlerin17 says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad to hear that! It’s one of my favorite recipes. Did you serve it with crackers?

  110. User avatar Delbert Schulist says:

    2 stars
I thought Brie was supposed to be melted, but this didn’t really do it for me. Maybe I did it wrong?

  111. User avatar leeann.abernathy56 says:

    1 star
I tried using pineapple jam instead of honey, what a mistake! 😂

  112. 2 stars
I don’t get the hype—brie is already good on its own. The honey made it a bit too sticky for me, but I can see how others would love it.

    1. User avatar peter.fadel says:

      4 stars
Totally fair—brie is great plain. I think the honey just adds that sweet + salty thing, but if you don’t like stickiness, yeah, it can be too much.

  113. User avatar jack.cremin says:

    5 stars
This is dangerously easy. The honey really makes the Brie taste fancy without trying too hard. I skipped the puff pastry and it was still perfectly gooey.

  114. User avatar leo.bauch2003 says:

    5 stars
Brie is best! I usually just eat it cold, but this baked version rocked my taste buds.

  115. 4 stars
I didn’t wrap it in puff pastry and honestly it was still great—honey + brie is just unstoppable. The pecans made it feel fancy.

    1. User avatar alfredia.ohara43 says:

      5 stars
Yes!! Honey + brie is basically cheating (in the best way). Love that you skipped the puff pastry—gooey brie on its own still slaps. Pecans absolutely make it feel fancy.

  116. User avatar erick.graham93 says:

    5 stars
Simple and tasty! Took me only minutes to prep. I might even try it with some spicy jam next time. Yum!

    1. User avatar willard.schmitt10 says:

      5 stars
I never thought of adding spicy jam, that sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try it!

  117. User avatar zana.weissnat1978 says:

    2 stars
Ok but why honey AND brie? It’s sweet… like a dessert cheese. Could be just not my taste.

  118. User avatar kandace.dare says:

    3 stars
Too much honey for me. I think I’d prefer it without all that sweetness.

  119. User avatar lauri.marks34 says:

    4 stars
This reminds me of those fancy appetizer trays. I’m not mad. It looks impressive even when I’m not trying.

  120. User avatar beverley.schaden1952 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have pecans, so used almonds instead. Still delicious, but I’m not sure the almonds worked well.

  121. User avatar dallas.strosin2021 says:

    3 stars
Honestly, I think it was too sweet with the honey. Next time, I’ll use less.

  122. User avatar marlys.oreilly29 says:

    4 stars
I just put my leftovers in the microwave and it was still good!

    1. User avatar theo.price1977 says:

      2 stars
I mean, microwaving cheese? Seriously? That’s not how you treat good food.

    2. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

      5 stars
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Baked Brie is always a crowd-pleaser. Perfect for leftovers.

  123. User avatar jarvis.littel says:

    5 stars
Yup, super easy. Did it in like 20 mins. My folks love it.

  124. User avatar Tricia McMillan says:

    4 stars
My Brie leaked honey everywhere and it was messy… but like a good mess. Would do parchment and maybe foil next time.

  125. User avatar marvis.weissnat2019 says:

    5 stars
I made this for a party and everyone kept asking what bakery it came from. I used fig jam and it was sweet but not too much. Will do again.

    1. User avatar annice.ondricka says:

      5 stars
That’s awesome! Fig jam is such a good choice with brie—sweet, but still classy. I’m glad it worked out for your party crowd.

    2. 4 stars
So smart using fig jam—mine was always too runny with honey before. Did you bake it uncovered or with the pastry? I feel like mine always over-browns lol.

  126. User avatar Falmer Shaman says:

    2 stars
Hmm… 15 minutes seems short for pastry. Mine browned too fast on the outside and the middle was kinda underdone. Might need lower heat or longer bake.

  127. User avatar nieves.schmeler20 says:

    3 stars
Why do people add puff pastry? I tried it without and it was still gooey. Maybe the pastry is just extra calories.

    1. User avatar liberal.hero says:

      3 stars
Honestly I don’t get it either. Brie already melts… why wrap it in pastry like it’s a burrito? If it was gooey without it, then the pastry is just for looks and sugar/calories. 15 min is enough.

    2. User avatar Questular Rontok says:

      4 stars
I add puff pastry mostly for the crunch + the “wow” presentation. Without it, Brie can still turn gooey on its own—so you didn’t do anything wrong. The pastry just adds a different texture and yes, more calories.

  128. 5 stars
This is dangerously easy. The honey + warm brie combo is basically instant fancy. I used raspberry jam and it was a hit.

  129. User avatar carlyn.boehm65 says:

    3 stars
Tried to follow but my honey burned a bit. Probably my oven runs hot—would love a temperature/time adjustment tip.

    1. User avatar Yooden Vranx says:

      5 stars
Oh no—yeah honey can scorch fast. I’d try dropping the oven to 325°F and start checking around 12 minutes. You’re looking for “gooey,” not burnt honey.

  130. User avatar Donn Veum says:

    4 stars
Who needs puff pastry? Just put the honey and cheese together, it’s simple and tasty! 10/10!

    1. User avatar nilsa.fay1979 says:

      3 stars
But is it really that good without the puff pastry? I feel like that’s a big part of it.

    2. User avatar maxie.marvin1964 says:

      5 stars
Honey and cheese are tasty together! I never thought about skipping the puff pastry. Makes it easier for sure! 😋

  131. User avatar dwight.beahan95 says:

    2 stars
I dont get it. Brie + sweet = weird. Also 1 handful pecans is like… how many is that lol. I probably wont repeat.

  132. 5 stars
The pecans were a nice crunch. I toasted them first and it made a difference. My friends asked for the recipe.

  133. User avatar hyo.cartwright1965 says:

    1 star
I tried with goat cheese instead of Brie and it was a disaster. Don’t recommend it!

  134. User avatar nicky.okuneva says:

    3 stars
350°F seems a little low/iffy? I’m not sure. I followed it and it was still melty, but the outside didn’t brown much. Flavor was good at least.

  135. User avatar dorothea.kulas2 says:

    3 stars
Not sure about the honey + pecans combo. It was okay, but kinda sweet-salty in a way I didn’t love. Maybe I’ll try walnuts next time or less honey.

  136. User avatar sharen.howell says:

    4 stars
Turned out tasty, but my brie leaked a lot once it hit the oven. Next time I’ll do a lower bake time and maybe pat the pastry seams better.

    1. User avatar Kristie Hannity says:

      5 stars
Glad it was tasty! Brie can be super leaky at 350°F—next time try baking a minute or two less and let it rest less/more depending on how fast it’s melting. Also pressing the pastry seams together (and tucking the ends) really helps.

  137. User avatar archie.king64 says:

    4 stars
I burned the pastry edge a little, but that’s probably my oven being dramatic. Still, the center was soft and delicious.

    1. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

      5 stars
Honestly that sounds like a win 😄 The gooey center is the whole point—those browned pastry edges are basically just extra flavor. Next time maybe pull it a minute earlier if your oven runs hot, but I’d still eat it!

    2. User avatar dwight.ritchie1980 says:

      4 stars
Burned edge but soft center… yeah, ovens are jerks sometimes. I usually bake mine like 10 minutes max though, otherwise the pastry gets too dark. Did you wrap the brie in puff pastry or just bake it plain?

  138. User avatar CTRLplusW says:

    4 stars
I’m skeptical about 15 minutes. I’d guess more like 20-25 in my oven. But the instructions were clear and the result was nicely melty.

  139. User avatar rivka.quigley says:

    4 stars
The puff pastry step is a must. Mine came out golden and flaky, but I used strawberry jam and it got kinda sweet-syrupy… still good with crackers.

    1. 5 stars
Yes!! Puff pastry really is the make-or-break. If the jam/honey is thick, it can turn into that sweet syrupy puddle—still tasty though. Next time I’ll use a thinner jam or just do a lighter drizzle so it stays gooey, not runny.

  140. User avatar carroll.schamberger says:

    4 stars
I made it without puff pastry and it still came out great. Next time I’ll add a pinch of chili flakes with the honey because I think it would wake up the flavor a lot.
