Parmesan Crusted Salmon is a simple yet elegant dish that combines the rich, tender flavor of salmon with a crispy, cheesy crust. This easy-to-make recipe results in a perfectly cooked salmon fillet that’s flavorful on the outside, thanks to the golden-brown, Parmesan-encrusted crust, while remaining moist and flaky on the inside. Whether you’re cooking for a special occasion or a weeknight dinner, this dish is sure to impress with its delightful balance of textures and savory flavors.
The key to Parmesan Crusted Salmon is the coating. A mixture of grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and a hint of garlic and herbs gives the salmon a satisfying crunch and an irresistible golden crust. The sharp, salty flavor of the Parmesan complements the richness of the salmon, making every bite a savory experience. A touch of lemon zest or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice adds a bright, citrusy note that enhances the overall flavor of the dish.
Preparing Parmesan Crusted Salmon is straightforward and quick. After seasoning the salmon fillets, you coat them with the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, pressing it gently into the fish to form an even crust. Then, simply bake or pan-sear the fillets until the crust is golden and the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness. The result is a beautifully crispy exterior with a tender, flaky interior that pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides.
Parmesan Crusted Salmon can be served with a variety of side dishes. It pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, a fresh green salad, or creamy mashed potatoes for a satisfying meal. For a lighter option, serve it alongside quinoa or steamed asparagus. The versatility of this dish makes it a perfect choice for any occasion, from casual family dinners to elegant dinner parties.

Wow just wow. This is going to be a regular at my dinner table. Thanks for sharing!
I tried this and my family loved it! But I accidentally used too much garlic powder. Oops. Still tasted good!
Parmesan and salmon? Sounds weird. I didn’t try it, but why mix cheese with fish?
I thought it was odd too at first, but trust me, it works! The cheese adds a nice crispy texture and flavor to the salmon.
Tasted alright, but I guess I’m not a fan of salmon. My partner loved it tho!
Lol, I can’t imagine not liking salmon! It’s super tasty. You should give it another chance, maybe grill it instead?
I get it! Salmon isn’t for everyone. It’s awesome that your partner liked it though. Maybe try a different fish next time?
I don’t know about the breadcrumbs, could it work without? Just don’t see the point.
Parmesan and salmon? Weird combo, man. Didn’t like it.
Followed the recipe step by step but my salmon came out dry. Maybe I cooked it too long?
I don’t like fish but my husband loved it. I guess it’s okay…
Really easy to make but it tastes kinda plain to me. Maybe add some spices?
Made this for the fam, and they loved it! Will be making again!
Didn’t have breadcrumbs, used cornflakes instead. Surprisingly worked!
Super easy and tasty. I added some chili flakes for a bit of kick and it was amazing!
This recipe is a lie. My salmon turned out dry and flavorless. Disappointing.
Absolutely loved this! The flavors are just perfect. Definitely a keeper!
I think the salmon was a bit overcooked. Not sure if it was my fault or the timings.
Super easy and quick to make! Will make again for sure.👍
Easy to make, but I thought it needed more seasoning. Maybe some paprika next time? 🧐
Simply delicious! Will add more garlic next time! 😋
Garlic is life! Can’t wait to try this with more garlic! 🧄❤️
Adding garlic? Isn’t that too much? Salmon already has a strong flavor.
I made this and it was WAY too salty. Maybe my cheese was salty or something, idk. Can’t recommend.
Parmesan salmon? Sounds weird. I don’t think I will try this. Not a fan of fish.
Yum! Salmon is my favorite fish! Great recipe!! 🍣
Yum! I added some Cajun spice for a kick, turned out great!
Yum! This was so good. My whole family devoured it! Thanks for sharing!!!
I’m glad your family loved it! It’s one of my favorites too!
I tried it but the salmon was kinda dry. Maybe I cooked it too long? Idk.
It happens! Salmon can dry out easily if cooked too long. Maybe try reducing the time next time! Good luck! 🙂
You probably overcooked it. 12-15 mins should be perfect, but every oven is different. Maybe check it a bit earlier next time?
I don’t get how this can be healthy with so much cheese. I prefer my salmon grilled, not baked.
This is harder than it looks 🐟. Overcooked my fillets and it was a mess.
Yeah, I’m not sure about that recipe. How can you overcook fish?! Just watch it closely!
Don’t worry, it happens! Maybe try checking them earlier next time? Salmon can cook fast.
Wasn’t sure about the combo of parmesan and salmon. It seems weird to me. I didn’t like it. 2 stars.
I used dried parsley instead of fresh. Is that okay? It still tasted good, but not as fresh.
Is Panko really necessary? I just used regular breadcrumbs and it turned out just fine!
I totally agree! Regular breadcrumbs work just fine if you’re in a pinch.
But Panko gives it that extra crunch! You might miss it if you try it next time.
Ehh, wasn’t that impressed. It’s just salmon with cheese? Whatever.
This was super easy and delicious! My family loved it. Definitely a keeper!
So glad to hear you liked it! It’s one of my favorites too. 🍋
Too much cheese for me! I love Parmesan, but this was overwhelming. Next time I’ll use less.
I totally get you! Parmesan can be really strong. Maybe try using half the amount next time?
This recipe was amazing! The crust was so crispy and flavorful, my family loved it!
I’m not sure about the lemon zest… isn’t that too much? 🤔
I think the lemon zest adds a fresh flavor! It won’t be too much if you like lemon. 😊
I don’t know, sounds like too much lemon for me. Can’t we just skip it? 🤷♂️
This recipe is awesome! The salmon turned out so flavorful and crispy. Definitely a keeper!
This recipe is amazing! The salmon turned out perfectly crispy on top and so flavorful. Definitely a keeper!
My husband made this and I was surprised it turned out so good. We even took leftovers for lunch.
I don’t like salmon usually, but this made it taste okay. The cheese helped a lot.
Cheese on fish? That’s kinda weird, but to each their own! I’ll stick with my plain salmon.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! The parmesan really does add a nice flavor. Have you tried this with other fish?
I tried this but the cheese burnt way too fast. Maybe lower the temp? Just a thought..
Was expecting more flavor. Seemed kinda bland to me. Maybe add more spices?
What if I don’t have Panko? Can I just use regular breadcrumbs? Don’t know if that’s gonna work tho.
Wasn’t a fan. The breadcrumbs burnt too quickly. 😒
I actually loved it! Maybe try reducing the time in the oven next time? 🤷♀️
Burnt breadcrumbs? Sounds like ya left it in the oven too long or forgot to check. Cooking is an art, ya know!
Is salmon even good for you? I thought it was all fatty? Not sure I’ll try this.
OMG! SO GOOD! My family loved it, even my picky kids! Will make again!
Followed the recipe but used cheddar instead. Still tasty! Kinda wish I had used parmesan.
Delish! Added some extra garlic and it was a hit at my dinner party.
This recipe is a game changer! The salmon turned out perfectly flaky and the crust was delicious. I finally found a way to impress my family!
Really good!!! Will cook again for sure. Salmon is the best fish!
Hmm, what’s a fillet? Can I just use the whole salmon? 🤔
Easy to prepare 🥳. I don’t cook much, but this was simple!
I’m glad you found it easy! Salmon can be tricky if you’re not used to cooking. Enjoy your meal! 😊
This salmon recipe was amazing! The crust was super crispy and flavorful. My whole family loved it. 😍
Can I use tilapia instead of salmon? Asking for a friend!
Eh, it was alright. I prefer my salmon baked without all this fancy stuff.
Super easy! I made this for dinner and it was a hit. Kids loved it. Thanks for sharing!
This was so delicious! The crust was nice and crispy. Will definitely make again!
I followed the recipe exactly but the topping didn’t stick at all! What did I do wrong?
Quick and easy! Love how easy the instructions were. Will try this for dinner party!
Parmesan and salmon? Who thought that would work?! Amazing! I will be making this again.
Too salty for my taste. Next time, I’ll skip the added salt and see how it goes.
Salt?? Really? I didn’t think it was salty at all, kinda bland actually. What did you do wrong?
I’ve made this recipe too and thought it was perfect! Maybe you just have a sensitive palate? 😜
YUM! I added some cayenne pepper for a kick and it was amazing! Definitely making it again.
This was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked! 🥰
Very easy recipe! My kids loved it, especially with the lemon. Thumbs up!
I don’t really see what the hype is about. It tasted okay but nothing special. Maybe I did something wrong?
