Parmesan Crusted Salmon is a simple yet elegant dish that combines the rich, tender flavor of salmon with a crispy, cheesy crust. This easy-to-make recipe results in a perfectly cooked salmon fillet that’s flavorful on the outside, thanks to the golden-brown, Parmesan-encrusted crust, while remaining moist and flaky on the inside. Whether you’re cooking for a special occasion or a weeknight dinner, this dish is sure to impress with its delightful balance of textures and savory flavors.
The key to Parmesan Crusted Salmon is the coating. A mixture of grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and a hint of garlic and herbs gives the salmon a satisfying crunch and an irresistible golden crust. The sharp, salty flavor of the Parmesan complements the richness of the salmon, making every bite a savory experience. A touch of lemon zest or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice adds a bright, citrusy note that enhances the overall flavor of the dish.
Preparing Parmesan Crusted Salmon is straightforward and quick. After seasoning the salmon fillets, you coat them with the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, pressing it gently into the fish to form an even crust. Then, simply bake or pan-sear the fillets until the crust is golden and the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness. The result is a beautifully crispy exterior with a tender, flaky interior that pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides.
Parmesan Crusted Salmon can be served with a variety of side dishes. It pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, a fresh green salad, or creamy mashed potatoes for a satisfying meal. For a lighter option, serve it alongside quinoa or steamed asparagus. The versatility of this dish makes it a perfect choice for any occasion, from casual family dinners to elegant dinner parties.

I tried this and my family loved it! But I accidentally used too much garlic powder. Oops. Still tasted good!
I don’t know about the breadcrumbs, could it work without? Just don’t see the point.
Followed the recipe step by step but my salmon came out dry. Maybe I cooked it too long?
Super easy and tasty. I added some chili flakes for a bit of kick and it was amazing!
This recipe is a lie. My salmon turned out dry and flavorless. Disappointing.
Absolutely loved this! The flavors are just perfect. Definitely a keeper!
Super easy and quick to make! Will make again for sure.👍
Easy to make, but I thought it needed more seasoning. Maybe some paprika next time? 🧐
Yum! Salmon is my favorite fish! Great recipe!! 🍣
Yum! This was so good. My whole family devoured it! Thanks for sharing!!!
I’m glad your family loved it! It’s one of my favorites too!
I don’t get how this can be healthy with so much cheese. I prefer my salmon grilled, not baked.
Wasn’t sure about the combo of parmesan and salmon. It seems weird to me. I didn’t like it. 2 stars.
Is Panko really necessary? I just used regular breadcrumbs and it turned out just fine!
I totally agree! Regular breadcrumbs work just fine if you’re in a pinch.
But Panko gives it that extra crunch! You might miss it if you try it next time.
Ehh, wasn’t that impressed. It’s just salmon with cheese? Whatever.
This recipe was amazing! The crust was so crispy and flavorful, my family loved it!
This recipe is amazing! The salmon turned out perfectly crispy on top and so flavorful. Definitely a keeper!
I don’t like salmon usually, but this made it taste okay. The cheese helped a lot.
Cheese on fish? That’s kinda weird, but to each their own! I’ll stick with my plain salmon.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! The parmesan really does add a nice flavor. Have you tried this with other fish?
