Honey Sriracha turkey meatballs are the perfect answer when you want something savory, spicy, and just a little bit sweet. These bold, bite-sized delights offer a playful twist on traditional meatballs by combining lean ground turkey with the irresistible pairing of honey and sriracha. The result is a dish that’s full of flavor and perfect for everything from meal prep to party snacks.
At the heart of these meatballs is ground turkey, which serves as a lighter alternative to beef or pork but still brings plenty of richness. Turkey takes on flavor exceptionally well, making it the perfect canvas for the sticky, spicy glaze that sets this dish apart. Sriracha adds heat and depth, while honey brings in sweetness and balance, creating a coating that’s both lip-smacking and addictive.
What’s great about these meatballs is their versatility. You can serve them over rice or noodles for a full meal, toss them into lettuce wraps for a low-carb option, or simply pile them onto a platter with toothpicks for a crowd-pleasing appetizer. They’re equally delicious hot out of the oven or served cold as part of a meal prep plan. Add a drizzle of extra sauce, and you’ve got a flavor-packed protein option that’s anything but boring.
These meatballs also work beautifully for those who love to prep ahead. You can make a big batch, freeze them, and reheat whenever you’re in need of a quick and satisfying dish. Whether you’re feeding a hungry family or just stocking your freezer for the week, they’re a reliable go-to.
Honey Sriracha turkey meatballs strike a delicious balance between comfort food and bold, modern flavors. They’re easy enough to make on a weeknight but special enough to impress guests. Whether you’re serving them as an appetizer, main dish, or lunchbox favorite, one thing is certain – they won’t last long once they hit the table.

Not a fan. The honey and sriracha combo is weird. I guess some people like it, but I don’t see the point.
I don’t really measure, so I eyeballed the honey and sriracha. Somehow it worked? But next time I’ll follow the amounts because I think I got lucky.
I’m not sure about cilantro in meatballs. It tastes a little soapy to me (probably my cilantro thing), but everyone else liked it.
Not bad! The flavor is bold, but I wish the meatballs had more binding—maybe use panko instead of breadcrumbs? Still a solid weeknight meal.
I’m not usually a sriracha person, but wow. I used a bit less honey and it still tasted balanced. Would definitely make again.
I’m skeptical about sweet + spicy with turkey, but this combo kinda makes sense. Next time I might go even less honey. Did you use regular sriracha or the “rooster” extra hot one?
Yes!! Same here—sriracha can be a lot, but the honey balance is spot on. I made these last week and they disappeared fast.
Not sure about the sesame oil + sriracha combo… it tasted a little like weird takeout (in a bad way). Also 1 lb felt small for the amount of sauce I made.
I mixed up the step and added everything to the pan without mixing first … they still turned out okay, I guess!
Meatballs are fine but I think beef is better…more flavor, ya know?
meh. not my fav. i dont like meatballs that much 🤷♂️.
Totally get you! Meatballs aren’t for everyone. But maybe try them with a different sauce? 🤔
This recipe seems too simple to be good. I’m skeptical, but I might try it.
I messed up and used regular chicken instead of turkey. They still tasted good tho.
Easy to make but the texture was kinda off… Do you think it’s the breadcrumbs?
I’m skeptical about using breadcrumbs with turkey—usually I need more binder. Mine held together okay, but they were softer than I expected. Flavor still good though.
Breadcrumbs with turkey sounds fine to me 😅 But softer than expected could be because the breadcrumbs were old? Also, I usually add a little extra bread crumbs if the mix seems too wet. Your sauce sounds amazing though!
Totally get that—turkey can be tricky. I’ve found 1 egg really helps, but if your meatballs came out softer, maybe they needed more time to brown (or a slightly hotter pan). Still glad the flavor was good!
Meatballs turned out good, but I forgot the cilantro (oops) and they were still fine. I guess the garlic carried it. Will try again with cilantro for sure.
Five minutes each side is kinda optimistic? Mine took longer to cook through. Still good though.
Loved them! I used chicken instead of turkey and it turned out great. Quick and easy recipe.
Meatballs good!!! Yum yum!
Interesting combination… I never thought of honey and sriracha together. Might try just for fun.
Yo these are fire. I followed it exactly and they stayed moist. Probably will make again every week. 😅
So easy to make! Just mixed everything and cooked them in the air fryer instead. Yumm!
Pretty good idea, but I think 2 tbsp sriracha might be too much for my taste. Next time I’ll cut it in half and add a little more honey.
Can someone tell me if these freeze well? I made a big batch for meal prep.
Yes, they freeze really well! Just make sure to let them cool completely before you put them in a freezer bag.
Okay but… meatballs in a pan only? Mine browned, but I’m not convinced they cooked through without overcooking. Might need lower heat or more time.
Great recipe! I used chicken instead of turkey and they were yum! Def a keeper.
Could’ve been better… I think the sriracha was a bit too much for my taste. My kids didn’t eat them.
These meatballs are amazing! The honey and sriracha combo is fire! 🔥
I totally agree! The sweet and spicy flavors are to die for! My family devoured them!
The flavor profile is legit: savory from soy + aromatic garlic + sweet glaze. I served mine with rice and it felt restaurant-y. My only complaint is the egg binding—half my meatballs cracked a bit, so maybe mix longer.
Hmm mine didn’t crack but I did add an extra pinch of breadcrumbs. Also I might be mixing wrong bc I just stirred till it “looked combined.” Your complaint makes sense—ground turkey is so lean. Try lower heat too?
Totally agree on the flavor—soy + garlic + honey sriracha is such a good combo. I’ve had the same egg-binding issue though. Next time I’ll mix way longer (like 2-3 minutes) and maybe let the mixture rest 10 minutes before shaping.
I don’t get why people put honey in meatballs. It’s kinda weird, right? But I tried it and it was decent.
I actually love honey in meatballs! It adds a sweet touch that balances the spice. Don’t knock it till you try it again!
Great, but next time I will try with chicken instead. Turkey just ain’t it for me.
I understand! Chicken can be really juicy. But give turkey a chance too! It’s pretty good if seasoned right.
Nah man, turkey is the best! Chicken is too dry for meatballs. You gotta try it again!
Why do you need cilantro? It’s gross. Just saying.
I don’t like turkey much, but these turned out really good. I was surprised!
Really? Turkey is usually kinda dry, I don’t know how you liked it. Gonna stick to beef for meatballs.
I’m glad to hear that! Sometimes turkey can be surprisingly tasty when it’s cooked right. I’m definitely trying this soon!
These were dangerously good. The honey + sriracha combo is perfect and the cilantro makes them taste fresh, not just “spicy meatballs.” I used turkey thighs (because that’s what I had) and it still worked.
Honestly this combo sounds so right. I love honey + sriracha on everything. Gonna try with ground chicken next time—also great you used turkey thighs.
These were pretty good, but I think 1 lb ground turkey needs a little extra binder (like more breadcrumbs) or they fall apart when turning.
These were sweet-heat perfection. The honey + sriracha glaze really caramelized in the pan and the turkey stayed juicy.
Why does everyone like these? I thought they were just okay. Sriracha is too spicy for me.
I think they’re great! Maybe you just don’t like spicy stuff too much. Have you tried making them with less sriracha? Just a thought!
I used ground chicken instead of turkey and it worked great. Sauce ratio felt spot on. Would make again for sure.
Meatballs are good but I think honey is too much.
I’m not much of a cook, but if I can make these, anyone can!
I’m obsessed with anything sriracha. I added a pinch of ginger and they still followed the steps perfectly. Browning in a non-stick skillet worked great—didn’t stick at all.
Honestly, I prefer my meatballs classic. Too much fusion going on here for my palette.
I doubled the sriracha and it got way too hot for my family. Flavor otherwise was solid and the cilantro came through nicely. Maybe keep it at 2 tbsp unless you like pain 😂
“Non-stick skillet” and “5 minutes” feels a bit optimistic for turkey. Mine took longer, like closer to 10-12 min to be fully cooked. Still, flavor sounds great!
Mine stuck a bit even though I used non-stick—maybe the pan wasn’t hot enough. Flavor was still great though, and the sauce is addictive.
These meatballs are a game changer! So delicious, I can’t stop eating them!
Honey in meatballs? What kinda cooking is that? Not for me. 🥴
I accidentally used regular chili sauce instead of sriracha and it still came out weirdly tasty. Probably not authentic but hey—family approved.
I’ve never cooked with turkey before. Turned out pretty good but they fell apart a bit. Are they supposed to do that?
Yes, turkey meatballs can sometimes fall apart, especially if they’re not packed tightly enough. Try adding a bit more breadcrumbs next time!
Meatballs? With HONEY? Sounds weird but I gave it a shot! Honestly, I loved them.
These meatballs were a huge hit at dinner! The honey and sriracha combo is just perfect. Will definitely make again!
I didn’t think honey and sriracha would work but now I wanna try it! Thanks for sharing your experience!
My family loved em! But my 4 yr old ate only the honey part, lol. 🤷♀️
Meatballs taste good, but took forever to cook them fully. Maybe next time I’ll bake.
Baking them sounds like a good idea! Saves time and they might be juicier too!
Pretty good idea, but my meatballs stuck a bit even with non-stick. I think I needed more oil or to let the pan get hotter first. Sauce is the star though.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve had that happen with turkey sometimes—since it’s lean, it can stick if the pan isn’t fully hot. I usually preheat a bit longer and add a quick thin film of oil before the first batch.
Hmm interesting. I’d think non-stick should work though. Maybe your pan was too cool or you overcrowded? Also I cooked mine like… 10 min total and it was fine. Sauce was kinda sweet for me but still good.
Whoever thought of honey and sriracha is a genius! These are 🔥🔥🔥
These sound dangerously good—sweet, spicy, and juicy turkey meatballs is my kind of combo. I’ll definitely try it with extra sriracha for the “kick.”
I used turkey that was a bit leaner and had to cook a couple minutes longer to get them fully done. Flavor is still solid though—cilantro + garlic is a great combo.
Disappointed. Followed the recipe exactly, but they fell apart in the pan. What did I do wrong?
I thought the recipe was easy, but mine fell apart while cooking. Maybe I added too much sauce?
I think maybe you just need to form the meatballs a bit tighter. I’ve had that happen too! You got this!
Way too spicy. Like, I love heat, but this knocked me out. Next time I’ll cut the sriracha in half and maybe add ginger or more honey.
Oof, sorry that happened! Yeah 2 tbsp sriracha can be a lot depending on the brand—cutting it in half (or even start with 1 tbsp) is a great call. Ginger + extra honey also sounds like a perfect balance.
Okay but why meatballs gotta be spicy AND sweet? My kids would hate this. 😅
Honestly thought the honey would make it too sweet, but it balances out. The drizzle sauce caramelized a bit in my pan and looked great. Will make again.
Quick and easy recipe! I had all the stuff at home. 😊👍
Absolutely loved these! So easy and the flavors are spot on. My kids gobbled them up!
Omg dhey r super good! I ll make em all the time!!! 😊
Ground turkey meatballs usually come out dry for me, but these stayed juicy. I think the egg + sauce helps a lot. Will definitely make again.
This is too spicy, I couldn’t handle the heat. Plus, isn’t sriracha for tacos?
I dunno about that, spicy is the way to go! But yeah, there’s lots of sauces for tacos, who really cares?
I think sriracha goes with everything! But if you’re sensitive to spice, maybe try using less next time or finding a milder sauce?
Too spicy for my taste! My kids wouldn’t eat it. Maybe cut the sriracha in half next time.
These were a hit! The honey-sriracha glaze is such a nice sweet/heat combo, and the cilantro really brightens it up. Mine took closer to 10 minutes total to cook through, but totally worth it.
1 egg for 1 lb turkey feels like too little?? Mine were kinda crumbly. Tasty though, just messy lol.
The flavors sounded better than they tasted for me. I got mostly soy + heat and not enough “turkey” flavor, if that makes sense.
Why is there even honey in meatballs? It’s not dessert… Do they really taste good?
These meatballs are fantastic! The honey and sriracha really make them pop. Definitely a new family favorite!
Too spicy for my taste. I couldn’t even finish them. Not everyone can handle heat!
Did not taste good at all! The flavors were weird. Stick to traditional meatballs.
Just made these and they burnt! I need to check the temp next time…
I don’t know, the honey seems weird with meatballs. I won’t be trying this.
I thought it sounded odd too at first, but the sweetness of honey really balances the spiciness of Sriracha! Give it a chance!
First time making meatballs. Easy to follow but the mixture seemed too wet. Maybe I added too much sauce? 🤔
I made these for my family, but my kids said they were too spicy. Maybe use less Sriracha next time?
I tried this recipe but used chicken instead of turkey. Didn’t turn out the same… Maybe turkey is better?
Made these for dinner and they were a hit—sweet, spicy, and not greasy. The honey-sriracha glaze is doing the most (in a good way).
Love hearing that! The honey-sriracha glaze really is the star—sweet heat with zero greasiness is the dream 😄 Did you serve them with rice or something crunchy?
Hmm I tried something similar but mine were kinda dry. Maybe I overcooked them in the skillet? Also 5 minutes + 5-7 seems like a lot depending on meatball size…
Way too much sriracha for my taste. I’d cut it in half next time and maybe add more honey to balance. Still tasty, just hot-hot hot.
Totally agree—2 tbsp sriracha plus the extra drizzle is a lot. I’d do 1 tbsp in the mix and skip/halve the glaze unless you really like the burn. Still tasty though!
Looks easy but I mess up every recipe 😩. Cooking’s not my thing…
Not sure about the sesame oil amount—1 tbsp seems like a lot for my taste. Could just use a little less or swap in toasted sesame oil at the end.
I was skeptical at first with the honey, but wow! It really balances the spice. Great recipe, thanks!
Really? Honey in meatballs? That’s weird!! But glad it worked for you, I might try it but still not sure.
I completely agree! The honey really does make a difference. I never would have thought to mix sweet and spicy. Delicious!
These were amazing! So flavorful and juicy! Will make again!
I’m glad you loved them! They’re so easy to make and the flavor combo is out of this world! 😍
Recipe is kinda confusing why you cook in a skillet without sauce first then drizzle later. I did it anyway and it tasted good, just not as saucy as I wanted.
That makes sense—starting in a dry-ish skillet will brown them, but they won’t be swimming in sauce. I usually want more “sticky” results too, so I’ll simmer the extra sriracha/honey drizzle a bit longer or add a spoon of water/chicken broth to loosen it before drizzling.
Too spicy for my kids. I think less Sriracha next time. 🥵
Love that you used turkey! It’s a healthier option for meatballs. Great idea!
I dunno, I heard turkey can be dry. Ever used chicken instead? Might be tastier.
I agree! Turkey is a great choice, plus it’s so lean. Can’t wait to try these meatballs!
Tried it and my meatballs fell apart a little… maybe my breadcrumbs were stale? The taste was great regardless, so I’d tweak texture next round.
Oof—fallen-apart meatballs are usually the binder/handling. Stale breadcrumbs can definitely do it, but I’d also check whether they were mixed just until combined and not overworked (ground turkey can get crumbly). Maybe try fresh breadcrumbs or even bump to 1/3 cup next time.
hmm mine too last time. i think it needs more sriracha or like less honey… also did you cook them at high heat? turkey dries out and turns to mush if you don’t sear fast. just saying 🤷♂️
I made something similar and the honey-sriracha glaze is the best part. For 1 lb turkey, 1 inch meatballs are perfect—should cook through without drying out.
I tried something like this but my 1 inch ones took longer than 5 min on the stove 😅 I think my heat was too low. Still tasted good though—mine were a lil dry when I waited too long. Next time I’ll check temp.
Yes!! The honey-sriracha glaze seriously makes these next level. I do like you said and they stay juicy—just don’t overcook. I aim for 165°F inside and they’re perfect.
I’m skeptical about mixing raw honey and sriracha—turned out okay, but the sauce got too sticky and slightly burned if I kept the heat too high. Lower heat helped.
I don’t like turkey, I used beef instead. Still came out great!
I bet it’s good, but isn’t the turkey part the best? Beef’s too greasy sometimes.
Beef sounds yum too! I’m glad it worked out for you. Those flavors must be great together!
Great recipe. I’m not a chef but it was simple enough. I’ll try it again!
Wow wow wow!! These are a hit at my party! Everyone loved them and I will share this recipe!
Isn’t sriracha too spicy for meatballs? I prefer ketchup for mine.
Wowza, these are good! I added some pineapple in the mix for sweetness. Yum!
Way too sticky/sugary for me. The honey glaze starts burning if you get distracted, so you really have to watch it.
These are weirdly addictive. I served them with rice and the glaze basically turned into a sticky little sauce. 10/10 for weekday comfort.
Totally agree—mine did the same thing with the rice, like a legit sticky glaze. I did extra drizzle at the end and it was perfect for a weeknight.
I tried this but mine didn’t get that “sticky sauce” thing—more like a dry glaze on the outside. Maybe my heat was too high? Still tasty though.
I followed it, but I think my measurements got mixed up—like I used 2 tablespoons of honey plus extra sriracha (whoops). Still ate them all. They were like sticky spicy and kind of messy, but good.
Haha been there—2 tbsp honey + extra sriracha sounds like a legit upgrade though 😅 Glad they still turned out good!
Idk, mixing up honey and sriracha seems like it would ruin the balance. Sticky and messy is exactly how my meatballs get when I overdo the glaze… but hey if you liked it then it works.
These meatballs were amazing! The honey adds such a sweet twist to the heat. Definitely making these again.
Good idea, but 1 lb turkey might need more egg/breadcrumbs. Mine fell apart a bit when turning. Also cilantro is not for everyone (I love it though).
