Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies

February 26, 2024

If you love chocolate-covered strawberries and can’t resist a rich, fudgy brownie, this dessert brings the best of both worlds together. Chocolate covered strawberry brownies are the ultimate indulgence, a layered treat that’s as beautiful as it is delicious. It starts with a dense, chewy brownie base that acts as a rich foundation for fresh strawberries and a silky chocolate ganache.

What makes this dessert so irresistible is the contrast of textures and flavors. The brownie layer is deep and decadent, with that perfect balance of crisp edges and gooey center. On top of that, fresh, halved strawberries are nestled closely together, adding natural sweetness and a burst of juicy flavor. The finishing touch? A thick blanket of smooth chocolate ganache poured over the strawberries, creating that signature chocolate-covered effect.

This dessert looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to make. Start with your favorite homemade brownie recipe, or even a quality box mix if you’re short on time. While the brownies bake and cool, prep your strawberries by washing, hulling, and halving them. Once the brownie layer is completely cool, arrange the strawberries cut-side down, covering the entire surface. Then gently pour warm ganache over the top and spread it to cover all the berries.

Once chilled, the ganache sets into a glossy layer that slices beautifully. Every bite delivers that classic chocolate-covered strawberry flavor, only with the bonus of brownie decadence. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, or any occasion that calls for a sweet showstopper.

For an extra touch, drizzle with white chocolate or add a sprinkle of sea salt before chilling. These brownies are rich, so small squares go a long way, but don’t be surprised if they disappear fast.

How can you call this a recipe? Just a box mix and some fruit? LOL 1 star.

    1. 3 stars
But like, it’s still a recipe? Who cares if it’s from a box? It’s all about the taste! 🙄

    2. User avatar Malphite says:

      5 stars
I think it sounds delicious! Sometimes simple is better. Fresh fruit makes it fancy! 😊

  21. 2 stars
Not what I was expecting. The strawberries were too mushy on top. I think I’ll stick to traditional brownies. 2 stars.

    1. 4 stars
I personally loved them! The strawberries added a nice twist, but I guess it’s not for everyone. Maybe try less fruit next time? 🤷‍♀️

  22. User avatar deangelo.metz87 says:

    3 stars
I dunno, why use strawberries? They just get mushy. Chocolate is best alone.

  27. User avatar Loriann Ernser says:

    3 stars
I think it’s missing somethin, like nuts or whipped cream, maybe? All in all, not bad tho. I’d give it a 3.

  28. User avatar chung.jacobson26 says:

    2 stars
I tried this recipe but it didn’t taste how I thought it would. The brownies were too sweet.

    1. User avatar maribeth.trantow43 says:

      5 stars
Sounds yummy! But I don’t think brownies can ever be too sweet. Just give me more chocolate any day! 😋

    2. User avatar steve_maga says:

      4 stars
I totally get it! Brownies can be super sweet sometimes, especially with chocolate chips added. You might wanna try reducing the sugar next time or use dark chocolate instead. That might balance out the sweetness! 🍫

  29. 1 star
Delicious but I can’t bake for the life of me. Ended up burning them. Sad face.

  30. User avatar sharan.schaden80 says:

This recipe is amazing! I didn’t have vanilla… Still worked! So good!!

    1. User avatar mohammad.rogahn27 says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad it worked out for you! Those strawberries must’ve added a nice touch. I’m definitely trying this recipe soon!

    2. User avatar rufina.strosin says:

      3 stars
No vanilla? How’d you manage that? Seems like it could mess with the flavor. But if it was good, maybe I won’t bother with the vanilla either!

  34. User avatar alberta.schuppe says:

    3 stars
I don’t like brownies, but my friend loved them. Strange combo with strawberries, but whatever floats yer boat.

  35. User avatar shannon.hills says:

    2 stars
I followed the recipe but the brownies turned out dry. Maybe I overbaked them? Not great.

  36. 2 stars
I messed up the mix and used salted butter. Tasted weird but still edible lol.

  37. User avatar Christoper Ritchie says:

    3 stars
Um, why do you need to make a glaze? I just used whipped cream on top. Much easier!

  38. 4 stars
Made these with my little sister. She had so much fun! Cute and tasty!!

  39. User avatar Falmer Nightprowler says:

    2 stars
Why use a box mix? Real brownies are made from scratch! I feel like the chocolate chips don’t really add much to the mix. Just my opinion.
