The white chocolate on top is a nice touch. I liked it a lot but my husband didn’t like the panettone.

IF you are going to print this recipe in the U.S. could you please use measurements that we have even HEARD OF. I have NO IDEA what 500g pannettone is. And then: 500m of Double Cream?????

Panettone? Never heard of it until now. Is it actually Italian? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I might have messed up the cream part… it didn’t whip up like I thought it would. Maybe my cream was too warm? Still tasted alright tho.

Why do we need icing sugar in the cream? Seems unnecessary. I just used regular sugar and it was fine.

Icing sugar helps to sweeten the cream without making it grainy. Regular sugar won’t dissolve as well and could affect the texture. Trust me, it makes a difference!

But it seems like an extra step, doesn’t it? I mean, if regular sugar works, why complicate things? Just sayin’!

Not sure about this panettone thing. Isn’t it just for Christmas? My family thought it was weird.

Nah, panettone is just for Christmas! This recipe sounds odd. Who eats this stuff in summer?

My kids didn’t like the strawberries… I guess they’re just picky eaters. Maybe more chocolate next time?

Made this for my boss, and he didn’t say anything. Should I take it as a compliment? Or did he just not like it? 😬

  14. 3 stars
Easy to prepare, but I ended up with too much whipped cream… can you freeze it? So many leftovers!

It looked nice but the flavors didn’t kick in for me. Maybe more jam next time? πŸ€”

I didn’t think it lacked flavor at all! Maybe you’re just used to stronger tastes? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ But jam is always nice!

    2. 4 stars
I think the jam is key! More jam sounds like a good idea to me. What if you added some fresh strawberries on top too?

LOVE this! I used fresh blueberries instead of strawberries cause I had some left. Still amazing! πŸ“βž‘οΈπŸ«

I don’t get the whole panettone thing. Can you use pound cake instead? πŸ€”

    1. User avatar candy.spencer says:

I think pound cake might work, but panettone has a different flavor and texture. It’s part of what makes this trifle special! πŸ˜‹
