Beef-Stuffed Mushrooms

October 15, 2025

Beef-Stuffed Mushrooms are a delicious and elegant appetizer that combines the earthy flavor of mushrooms with a rich, savory beef filling. Each bite-sized portion is packed with perfectly seasoned ground beef, aromatic herbs, and melted cheese, making them the ideal starter for dinners, parties, or festive gatherings. Juicy, flavorful, and beautifully golden on top, these stuffed mushrooms are a crowd-pleaser that effortlessly balances comfort and sophistication.

The secret to their irresistible flavor lies in the filling. Ground beef is sautéed with onions, garlic, and a touch of olive oil until browned and fragrant. A blend of herbs such as thyme, parsley, or oregano adds freshness, while breadcrumbs and cheese bring texture and creaminess. Parmesan or mozzarella melts into the beef, creating a smooth, rich filling that pairs beautifully with the natural umami of the mushrooms. A pinch of salt, pepper, and perhaps a dash of Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce deepens the savory notes even further.

The mushrooms themselves act as the perfect vessel – meaty, tender, and full of flavor. Cremini or white button mushrooms work best, as they hold their shape during baking and absorb the juices from the filling. Once stuffed, they’re baked until the tops are golden and the aroma fills the kitchen with warmth and comfort.

Beef-Stuffed Mushrooms are versatile and easy to customize. You can add diced bell peppers or spinach for extra color and nutrients, or sprinkle a little shredded cheese on top before baking for a deliciously gooey finish. They’re also an excellent make-ahead option, as they can be prepared in advance and baked just before serving.

What makes this dish special is its balance of simplicity and flavor. It’s hearty enough to satisfy meat lovers yet elegant enough to serve at a dinner party. Each mushroom is a perfectly portioned bite full of juicy beef, melted cheese, and aromatic seasoning. Whether served as an appetizer, side dish, or light entrée, Beef-Stuffed Mushrooms deliver the kind of rich, savory satisfaction that makes any meal memorable.

I thought mushrooms were poisonous at first, but then I made this and they were good! LOL.

    1. 2 stars
Really? I thought mushrooms were safe as long as you get them from the store! Your recipe looks interesting but kinda complicated for just mushrooms.

    2. User avatar Trin Tragula says:

      5 stars
Haha, I had the same thought! But now I can’t get enough of mushrooms, especially this recipe! Yum!

  2. 2 stars
Y’all, I really don’t get why they say to bake at 375. Mine burned at 350!

    1. 4 stars
Maybe your oven runs hot? Mine does too! I always have to adjust the temp.

  3. User avatar francine.weissnat33 says:

    4 stars
So easy to make and super tasty! I’ll definitely make again.

  4. User avatar gilbert.wilderman1994 says:

    3 stars
Wasn’t a fan of the Parmesan. Next time using cheddar!🙄

  5. User avatar ivan.schiller64 says:

    5 stars
These were delicious! My family loved them. I added some spices tho.

  6. User avatar sherley.bogan58 says:

    3 stars
I dunno, they were ok but the mushrooms were too soft. Liked my beef tho.

    1. 4 stars
I totally get what you mean! Mushrooms can get too squishy sometimes. Maybe try a different kind next time?

    2. 3 stars
Soft mushrooms are a part of the experience! But I guess you can fry them longer before baking? Just a thought.

  7. 5 stars
5 stars! Cannot stop thinking about these mushrooms. Simply scrumptious!

  8. 4 stars
Yummy! Didn’t have parsley so I used basil. It was really good!

  9. User avatar ernie.lynch7 says:

    1 star
Mushrooms stuffed with beef? Sounds gross to me. I prefer them plain.

  10. User avatar NAFO.SUPREMACY says:

    4 stars
I made this recipe but forgot the parsley. Still tasted great! 😂

    1. User avatar brad.wuckert says:

      4 stars
I’m glad it still turned out good! Parsley is just for looks anyway, right? 😂

    2. User avatar Warner Hermiston says:

      2 stars
Forgetting parsley? That’s a crime against gastronomy! 😱

  11. User avatar adolph.lesch says:

    5 stars
These were so good! I can’t believe how easy they were to make. Will definitely make again.

  12. User avatar lindsay.howe97 says:

    5 stars
I followed exactly, except I forgot the parsley (oops). Still tasted great. My family ate them before I could garnish. 10/10 for disappearing food.

  13. User avatar stephen.cassin says:

    5 stars
Super easy and fast—made it as an appetizer and everyone went back for more. I added a pinch of chili flakes and it kicked it up a notch.

  14. 2 stars
I’m skeptical about baking only 20 minutes—raw-ish mushrooms seem risky. Maybe my oven runs hot, but the stuffing got cooked while the caps were still kinda tough. Still edible, just not wow.

  15. 4 stars
Pretty solid recipe. The filling flavor was great, but I wish it had a little more guidance on doneness—my mushrooms were still a tiny bit firm at 15 minutes.

  16. 3 stars
I’m skeptical about baking stuffed mushrooms without any topping—mine needed a bit more cheese on top. But otherwise the beef filling was tasty.

  17. 5 stars
These were AMAZING! I couldn’t stop eating them. My family loved it too!

    1. User avatar alfonso.turner says:

      5 stars
So glad you loved it! These are a family favorite for us too! 🍄❤️

  18. User avatar Colin the Security Robot says:

    4 stars
Simple and pretty fast. I used pre-grated Parmesan and it still worked. Next time I’ll mince the onion smaller so the filling feels more uniform.

    1. User avatar fredric.satterfield6 says:

      5 stars
Nice! I like how straightforward this is. I also used pre-grated Parmesan and didn’t notice any issues—still tastes good and melts in fine.

  19. User avatar jone.pagac69 says:

    2 stars
Not the best, kinda dry. Maybe I cooked them too long? 🤷‍♂️

  20. User avatar shayna.harber1998 says:

BEEF in mushrooms? What an odd combo 🤔 but I actually liked it!

  21. User avatar darrel.homenick says:

    5 stars
My girlfriend said these taste like they’re from a restaurant 😄. The olive oil brushing on top makes a difference. Will make again for sure.

  22. User avatar clifton.rippin67 says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, 15-20 minutes feels short for mushrooms. Also 12 “pieces” is weird wording—are they whole mushrooms or caps? I used 12 large mushrooms and it turned out okay, but I was stressed by the timing.

    1. User avatar elton.boyer66 says:

      5 stars
Totally get you—15–20 min can be a little tight depending on mushroom size. I usually check at 15 and go 5 more if they’re still firm.

  23. User avatar theresia.haag says:

    5 stars
These were seriously tasty—savory, juicy, and the Parmesan gave it that perfect salty kick. I also chopped the stems super fine and mixed them in, which made the filling even better. Would make again!

  24. User avatar arminda.ortiz12 says:

    5 stars
The garlic + onion step smelled amazing. I used lean ground turkey instead of beef and it still worked. Would make again for sure—easy for an appetizer.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—the garlic and onion combo is what makes these taste “restaurant-y.” I used turkey too and it came out juicy. Making these again for my next get-together!

    2. User avatar shakita.greenfelder says:

      4 stars
I followed it mostly, but I think 15-20 mins wasn’t enough for my mushrooms (they were huge). Next time I’ll bake longer and maybe add a splash more cheese for more flavor. Still good though!

  25. User avatar gino.reilly says:

    4 stars
Not bad at all for an easy weeknight appetizer. I baked mine closer to 22 minutes since my mushrooms were huge. Next time I’ll add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.

  26. 3 stars
I don’t know about all that, I mean mushrooms are mushrooms. But I guess some people love that sort of stuff.

    1. 4 stars
Mushrooms can be pretty good if you stuff them right! This recipe sounds tasty though, might give it a try!

  27. 5 stars
Followed recipe exactly and they came out perfect! Yummy in my tummy!

  28. 2 stars
Just ok. I was expecting more. Sorry, but I’ll stick to pizza.

  29. User avatar liberal.hero says:

    2 stars
I dunno, the beef is a bit too strong for me. Didn’t really like it.

  30. User avatar olga.breitenberg2015 says:

    4 stars
These look great! But why mushrooms? Can’t you use peppers instead?

    1. User avatar annalisa.flatley24 says:

      5 stars
I think mushrooms add a great flavor! Peppers would be too sweet for this dish.

    2. User avatar clark.wehner45 says:

      3 stars
IDK, but mushrooms are classic for stuffing. They hold the shape better than peppers, right?

  31. User avatar Harry Armand Bach says:

    3 stars
I did not remove the stems right (more like ripped them off) and the stuffing fell out, lol. Flavor was still good, but presentation was messy.

    1. User avatar ArabianNights says:

      4 stars
Haha that happens! I’ve definitely ripped a few stems off like a raccoon too 😅 Still counts if the flavor’s there. Next time just hollow them a bit deeper so the filling has something to “hold” onto.

    2. User avatar travis.gerhold5 says:

      2 stars
Umm ok but how you make the filling fall out if you baked it lol. I bet you overcooked the mushrooms and they shrunk. Also 12 mushrooms seems low for 200g beef??

  32. User avatar wyatt.damore31 says:

    4 stars
Pretty solid recipe. I used turkey instead of beef and it still worked, though the filling was a bit drier. Next time I’ll add a tiny splash of olive oil to keep it moist.

  33. User avatar clay.denesik says:

    5 stars
Honestly, these taste like “fancy” snack food. I brought them to a party and people went back for more. Also, the oil brushing is key—don’t skip it.

    1. User avatar jenni.swaniawski37 says:

      3 stars
Hmm I tried something similar but mine were a little dry. Maybe I overbaked? Also I brushed with butter instead of olive oil once and it still tasted ok, so I’m not sure the oil is *that* key… but I believe you, fancy snack vibes though 😅

    2. 5 stars
Totally agree—these do come off like fancy party food. I made them for my cousin’s get-together and they disappeared fast. The oil brushing really does make a difference; skipping it would be a mistake.

  34. User avatar martin.mclaughlin36 says:

    4 stars
Way too much work for 12 pieces, but the taste justifies it. I wish it had a little sauce or something—maybe a splash of Worcestershire in the beef?

    1. User avatar trevor.emmerich1954 says:

      4 stars
Oof, I actually liked the no-sauce thing. The mushrooms give off enough juices that it’s not dry. Worcestershire sounds interesting tho—I’d use just a tiny splash.

    2. User avatar see.boyle66 says:

      4 stars
I get what you mean—between cleaning, stuffing, and baking it feels like way more than 12. But yeah, those Parmesan bits make it worth it. A little sauce would totally elevate it.

  35. User avatar The Allitnils says:

    5 stars
so easy. i made them for game night and everyone asked for the recipe. the garlic smell while baking was amazing.

  36. 3 stars
Why do you have to preheat the oven? Seems unnecessary. I’ve baked without it and had fine results.

  37. User avatar emmitt.hauck says:

    5 stars
Absolutely delicious! This recipe is a hit with my family. The flavors are awesome.

  38. User avatar reggie.rolfson23 says:

    5 stars
So simple and that’s what I love. Next time I’ll add a tiny pinch of chili flakes or smoked paprika. The parsley garnish is cute too.

  39. User avatar Bilbo Baggins says:

    4 stars
So easy and so good!! Will repeat.

  40. 3 stars
Easy to follow but so bland. I added some hot sauce and that helped.

  41. User avatar socorro.schamberger73 says:

    4 stars
Tasty but I had to cook them longer. My oven is weird. They were still good tho.

  42. User avatar justa.feil40 says:

    5 stars
So easy to make! I made them for a party and everyone asked for the recipe. Thanks!

  43. User avatar kieth.lockman30 says:

    5 stars
Yummy! Just made them and my kids loved them! 😍

  44. User avatar Trin Tragula says:

    5 stars
Made these last night! They were such a hit at my dinner party! Will make again for sure.

  45. 5 stars
Made these for dinner and they were a hit—juicy filling and the mushrooms actually got tender without turning soggy. Parmesan adds a really nice savory depth.

  46. User avatar Carlton Stanton says:

    5 stars
Made these tonight and they turned out insanely good. The Parmesan in the filling is the move. Mine baked a couple minutes longer because the mushrooms were huge, but still perfect—savory and juicy.

  47. 4 stars
I love mushrooms! These were great for dinner, but a bit messy to eat lol.

  48. User avatar deandre.raynor2026 says:

    3 stars
I always forget to remove mushroom stems fully, so I left some on… still worked, which shocked me. Texture was okay and everyone ate them fast.

    1. User avatar Hotblack Desiato's bodyguard says:

      4 stars
Wait… you left the stems on? I feel like that would make them chewy, but I guess baking fixes it. Next time I’ll try leaving some on too—texture might be better than I expect.

    2. User avatar kayleen.mayer13 says:

      5 stars
Honestly that’s good news 😄 I’m always trimming too, and if they still come out tender then I’m not gonna stress. Glad everyone ate them fast!

  49. User avatar basementDweller says:

    4 stars
Not bad at all—very filling for an appetizer. I used pre-minced garlic and it still tasted great. Would make again, maybe add a pinch of chili flakes.

  50. 5 stars
OMG the Parmesan + garlic combo—so good. I served it with garlic bread and everyone asked for the recipe. 10/10!

  51. User avatar hoyt.leuschke75 says:

    2 stars
I’m not sure about baking time—my oven runs hot and these browned too quickly on top. Also, I’m pretty sure 375°F is too low for tender mushrooms (maybe I did something wrong).

    1. User avatar ShanksOnePiece says:

      5 stars
Totally get it—mushrooms can brown fast if the oven runs hot. If your tops are going too quickly, try tenting the tray with foil after ~10 minutes (or bake closer to the lower end, like 15). Also, 375°F is actually pretty standard for tender baked mushrooms; “hot oven” is usually the culprit, not the temp. If they’re still not tender at 15–20, just add 5 more minutes.

  52. User avatar kareem.ebert76 says:

    3 stars
Tastes okay, but my mushrooms were too soggy. Not sure if I did it wrong or what.

  53. User avatar carley.kemmer says:

    4 stars
The instructions are clear, but 375°F is kinda low? I baked at that temp and they were tender, but I wanted more browning on top. Maybe broil for 1-2 minutes at the end.

  54. User avatar leon.goldner1994 says:

    3 stars
I gave this a go, but my beef came out too greasy. Maybe I used too much oil? 🤔

  55. User avatar irvin.damore66 says:

    4 stars
I never remove the stems for anything, but I did here—glad I did. It makes stuffing easier and they cook more evenly.

  56. User avatar Kenny Hilpert PhD says:

    2 stars
They looked good but ended up soggy. What did I do wrong? Do you have to press them?

    1. User avatar jason.dibbert says:

      4 stars
Soggy mushrooms can happen if they release too much water! Try pressing them lightly to get some moisture out before baking. Also, maybe don’t overcook them.

    2. User avatar amberly.christiansen75 says:

      3 stars
I had the same problem once! Just make sure to dry the mushrooms well and you should be fine. Pressing sounds like a good idea to me.

  57. 3 stars
Good base recipe, but mine were a little dry. I think my beef was too lean and I overcooked them by a couple minutes. Still tasty though!

    1. User avatar gregorio.corkery41 says:

      5 stars
Thanks for sharing! Dry stuffed mushrooms usually come from a couple spots—leaner beef can cook up faster and lose moisture, and a couple extra minutes can push the mushrooms past tender. Next time you could try 80/20 beef or add a spoon of something like a little broth/soaking liquid to the filling (or even cover loosely with foil for the first half of baking). Glad they were still tasty!

  58. User avatar Mort Tallity says:

    3 stars
I followed it mostly, but 375°F seems a bit low for my oven. The tops browned slightly, yet the mushrooms stayed firm. Still edible though—just not “wow.”

  59. User avatar lashaun.turner says:

    2 stars
Honestly I’m not convinced. 200g ground beef for 12 mushrooms seems a little stingy, and 50g Parmesan is kinda random. Could use more seasoning overall. I’ll probably tweak it next time.

  60. User avatar tyree.armstrong74 says:

    5 stars
Yummy!! But I used cheddar instead of Parmesan ’cause that’s what I had.

  61. User avatar wilber.douglas says:

    4 stars
These were pretty tasty, but I think 15 minutes wasn’t enough for my mushrooms. I had to go closer to 25. Also, I forgot to save the stems and kinda wasted them, lol.

  62. 1 star
Mushrooms? Gross. Beef? Even more gross. No thanks! 🤢

  63. 5 stars
Made these tonight—so good. The garlic/onion combo smells amazing, and the Parmesan really levels it up. Mine took closer to 22 minutes but perfect after that!

    1. 5 stars
Love hearing this! The garlic/onion + Parmesan combo really does make them smell incredible. And 22 minutes sounds totally plausible depending on mushroom size.

  64. User avatar mirtha.davis9 says:

    2 stars
Never liked mushrooms so i wasn’t impressed. my friend said they were fab tho.

  65. 4 stars
I’m skeptical about brushing the caps with olive oil—mine got a bit greasy. But the flavor was still good. Also I forgot to remove all the stems, so… yeah. Will try again carefully.

  66. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    4 stars
Easy and pretty tasty. I used a little extra pepper (because why not) and it held up well. Next time I’ll chop the mushroom stems a bit finer for more flavor, but overall great for a quick appetizer.

  67. User avatar kent.stiedemann says:

    5 stars
No lie, these smell amazing while baking. I used cremini mushrooms and they held up perfectly. Would absolutely make again for game night.

  68. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

    1 star
Not worth the effort, honestly. Just bake the mushrooms with cheese next time.

  69. User avatar nathaniel.fahey says:

    3 stars
375°F is kinda low? I feel like they should roast longer so the mushrooms get more golden. Mine were soft but not really browned on top. Flavor was good though.

  70. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

    3 stars
I’m skeptical about baking time—15-20 min sounds short for 190°C with beef. Mine were fine though, but I had to add like 8 more minutes.

    1. User avatar margaretta.harvey43 says:

      5 stars
Yeah I was skeptical too. 15–20 min at 190°C felt like “too fast” for beef, but mine came out juicy and the mushrooms were tender—guess it depends how big the caps are.

  71. 4 stars
I tried this recipe but used turkey instead of beef. Still came out great! 🙂

  72. User avatar earl.bartoletti99 says:

    5 stars
Easy and delicious! Made them for a party, disappeared fast!

  73. User avatar altagracia.keebler says:

    2 stars
Mushrooms and beef? That’s a weird combination lol.

  74. User avatar kelvin.howell says:

    5 stars
OMG these are restaurant-level. The beef mixture stays juicy, and the mushroom tops get a little oily and browned. I served them with garlic sauce and everyone asked for the recipe.

  75. User avatar dudley.pouros1960 says:

    3 stars
Really easy to make, but I thought it needed more flavor. Maybe some hot sauce next time?

    1. User avatar Uh Shenlong says:

      4 stars
I agree! Adding some hot sauce could really kick it up a notch! 🌶️

  76. 5 stars
I thought they were great! Perfect with a glass of red wine.

    1. User avatar merrilee.vandervort64 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree! They were delicious! Pairing with red wine is a genius idea, adds a nice touch!

  77. User avatar alphonse.ratke says:

    2 stars
My mushrooms shrank a lot—maybe I got the wrong type. The filling was great, but the caps didn’t look as “stuffed” after baking. Would try again with smaller button mushrooms.

  78. User avatar rudy.collins86 says:

    1 star
My kids didn’t like them at all. They said mushrooms are yucky. I thought they’d be good tho.

  79. User avatar argelia.okeefe says:

    5 stars
These are the best stuffed mushrooms I ever had! My family loved them!!

  80. 2 stars
lol mushrooms + beef = good. I used shallot instead of onion and it turned out okay. Would rate higher but I burnt the first tray a little (my bad).

  81. 3 stars
Good but kinda bland. Wish I added more spices. Maybe try some chili flakes next time?

    1. User avatar forest.johns says:

      5 stars
I think adding chili flakes is a great idea! Spices can really elevate the flavors. I’ve made them twice, once with and once without, and it makes a big difference!

    2. User avatar angelo.quigley says:

      2 stars
But like, isn’t the point to enjoy the beef and mushroom flavor? Spices just confuse it. I say leave it as is.

  82. 3 stars
Anyone knows if I can swap beef for chicken? Gotta use what’s in the fridge!

  83. User avatar Sand-Dial says:

    3 stars
I tried this and it was bland for my taste. Salt and pepper “to taste” is doing a lot of work there. I added more salt to the beef and a bit more Parmesan and it fixed it.

  84. User avatar lu.connelly2025 says:

    5 stars
These were a hit at my place—savory, juicy, and the Parmesan really bumps up the flavor. I added a pinch of paprika too and it tasted restaurant-level.

  85. User avatar mathWizard says:

    5 stars
So easy and honestly restaurant vibes. Great ratios too—Parmesan makes it feel fancy without much effort. 10/10.

Meh. The beef filling was okay, but I found the mushrooms themselves a bit oily from the olive oil brushing. Could probably use less oil on the caps.

  88. 5 stars
These were surprisingly fancy for how simple they are. The beef and Parmesan filling tastes super savory, and the mushrooms stay juicy. I added a pinch of chili flakes—highly recommend.

  89. 3 stars
I followed it exactly and honestly they were kinda bland until I added extra pepper. Like, the recipe doesn’t say much about seasoning beyond salt/pepper.

    1. User avatar russel.cormier90 says:

      4 stars
Yeah I feel you—mine were a little bland too unless I went heavier on the seasoning. I added garlic powder and a pinch of smoked paprika and it helped a lot. Also depends on how flavorful your Parmesan is.

  90. User avatar Samwise Gamgee says:

    5 stars
Okay wow. My family devoured these immediately. I used turkey mince instead of beef and it still worked. Great appetizer—will make again for sure.

  91. 5 stars
These are dangerously good 😅! Next time I’m doubling the filling. Also, parsley on top is the move. Would recommend to anyone who likes a savory bite.

  92. User avatar jackqueline.walker says:

    4 stars
These were so easy. Next time I’ll add a pinch of chili flakes because the flavor is great but a little flat for me (maybe just my taste).

  93. User avatar jettie.maggio60 says:

    4 stars
This recipe is simple but so delish! Kinda fancy too!

    1. 2 stars
Sounds good, but why not just use cheese instead of beef? Mushrooms are already great on their own, no need for all that!

    2. User avatar Juan De Hattatime says:

      5 stars
I totally agree! These mushrooms are fantastic! Perfect for impressing guests.

  94. User avatar aida.greenholt47 says:

375°F is fine, but 15 minutes is not enough for my oven. I had to bake closer to 25 to get tender mushrooms. Still tasty though!

  95. 3 stars
I’m skeptical about 15-20 minutes. Mushrooms can be hit or miss depending on size. Mine were still firm at 15, so I baked longer and they finally softened.

    1. User avatar carlton.tillman71 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—15 minutes is way too optimistic for bigger mushroom caps. I usually go closer to 25–30 until they actually release juices and get tender.

    2. User avatar ronni.will66 says:

      4 stars
My mushrooms were firm at 15 too 😅 I think it depends on the type. I just keep checking—when they shrink a bit, you’re good. Love this recipe tho!

  96. User avatar Elden Jenkins says:

    5 stars
    Wow. Simple. Yum.

  97. User avatar aurora.russel says:

    5 stars
Yummy! My kids loved them! Finally a way to get them to eat mushrooms.

  98. User avatar wellRespected says:

    3 stars
Hey, can I use different cheese? I don’t have Parmesan.

    1. User avatar Majikthise says:

      4 stars
Yeah, you can use any cheese! Just make sure it’s something that melts well.

    2. User avatar basementDweller says:

      3 stars
I dunno, Parmesan gives it a unique flavor. Other cheeses might not work as good.

  99. User avatar golden.waelchi says:

    2 stars
I followed it exactly and honestly… kinda bland. The beef needed more seasoning, maybe more salt/pepper than “to taste” suggests. Parmesan helped but it still felt flat.

  100. User avatar Hwi Noree says:

    4 stars
These mushrooms are a hit! My hubby is picky but he gobbled them up! 🌟

  101. User avatar rich.landlord says:

    4 stars
As someone who doesn’t cook much, this was very straightforward. The steps are clear and I didn’t have to guess what ‘translucent’ meant (onion turned glassy).

  102. User avatar The Pirates says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but the filling was dry-ish. I think my beef was too lean. Would’ve been better with 80/20 or a splash of something in the mix.

    1. User avatar milo.grady says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—lean beef can come out dry for these. I’ve had better luck with 80/20 and letting the filling sit a minute so it absorbs the mushroom juices.

  103. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    2 stars
375°F seems random—should it be 350? I tried 375 exactly and they browned fast but weren’t fully tender. Maybe my mushrooms were huge.

  104. User avatar randa.towne59 says:

    4 stars
Pretty solid, but mine needed more time in the oven—closer to 25 minutes for tender mushrooms. Also I forgot the parsley at first and it still tasted good, but with it looks way nicer.

  105. User avatar damion.rowe1991 says:

    4 stars
Wasn’t sure about these, but they turned out delicious! I added some spices tho.

  106. User avatar Dr. Dong O'Connell says:

    4 stars
These were delicious, but I wish the instructions said to chop the mushroom stems and mix them in. Mine ended up slightly bland in the cap part, but the filling carried it.

    1. User avatar randee.altenwerth says:

      5 stars
Glad you enjoyed them! And good catch on the stems—next time I’ll definitely chop them up and mix into the beef. That probably would boost flavor in the cap part too. 😊

  107. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    5 stars
These came out really tasty! The beef + Parmesan filling is super savory, and the mushrooms stayed juicy. I baked them closer to 20 minutes and they were perfect.

  108. User avatar Murray Heidenreich says:

    3 stars
I followed it mostly, but my filling was a bit dry. Could be because my beef was very lean (like 93%). Maybe add a tiny splash of olive oil or mix in some mushroom juice next time.

    1. User avatar miquel.bednar says:

      4 stars
Hmm maybe… 93% is basically paper-thin beef 😅 I’d avoid overcooking. If your mushrooms were on the smaller side, 20 min could be too long. Try covering loosely with foil for the first 10 min?

    2. User avatar ola.keebler50 says:

      5 stars
That makes total sense—93% lean can dry out fast. I’ve had good luck adding a teaspoon or two of olive oil (or even a splash of beef broth) right after browning so the filling stays juicy. Also, 15 minutes might be a bit tight depending on mushroom size!

  109. User avatar kenyetta.lesch says:

    3 stars
I think 12 mushrooms for 200g beef is maybe a little tight unless your caps are big. Mine looked under-stuffed, but it still tasted great.

  110. User avatar sherika.marks2022 says:

    3 stars
I messed up step 2 and threw away the stems too early 😅 Still tasted good, but I think I would’ve added chopped stems into the filling for more flavor and texture.

  111. User avatar Albertine Senger says:

    4 stars
I followed it pretty much exactly, and I liked the flavor, but mine were a little watery—maybe I didn’t cook the beef down enough or the mushrooms were bigger than “12 pieces.” Still tasty though.

    1. User avatar lucky777 says:

      4 stars
Glad you liked the flavor! Watery stuffed mushrooms usually means excess moisture—I’d try cooking the beef a bit longer and/or sautéing the mushrooms’ liquid out next time (especially if the mushroom caps are large). Also, make sure they’re really tender by the end of the bake, not just heated through.

  112. User avatar steve_maga says:

    3 stars
Not sure about the 375°F timing. Mine dried out a bit. The flavor was decent though, and the beef/onion/garlic combo works. Next time I’ll cover them or add a splash of something.

    1. User avatar chang.oconnell says:

      3 stars
Huh, mine were fine at 375°F 🤷‍♂️ but I think I used bigger caps and I actually cooked them like 25 mins. Dryness could be your mushrooms? Try more oil or just salt later so they don’t release water and then evaporate too fast.

    2. User avatar Draugr Wight says:

      5 stars
Yeah, 15–20 minutes at 375°F can definitely dry them out depending on the size of the mushrooms. Covering them with foil for the first half (or adding a splash of water/broth to the pan) usually helps keep them juicy.

  113. User avatar antonia.runolfsdottir32 says:

    2 stars
I don’t know, the beef with mushrooms is kinda weird together. 🤷‍♂️

    1. 4 stars
Weird? I mean, mushrooms are like sponges for flavor, it makes sense to me! What do you mean? 🤔

    2. User avatar Agrajag says:

      5 stars
I think it’s a great combo! The beef adds a nice flavor to the mushrooms. Give it a try! 👍

  114. 2 stars
Worst part was cleaning the mushrooms… other than that, ok? The beef was tasty, but I didn’t get the “wow” texture. Maybe I should’ve cooked the filling longer before stuffing.

  115. User avatar junior.murazik53 says:

    4 stars
375°F is ok but I wish it said if it’s convection or not. I used convection and they browned quicker. Still tasty, just watch them.

  116. User avatar Frost Atronach says:

    4 stars
My kids are picky eaters and they gobbled these up. Will make again!

    1. User avatar hugh.ryan says:

      4 stars
That’s awesome! My kids are super picky too, but I’ve never thought of mushrooms. I might give it a go!

    2. User avatar Falmer Gloomlurker says:

      2 stars
Mushrooms? My kids would never touch those! Are you sure they liked them? Sounds too good to be true.

  117. User avatar Reta Doyle IV says:

    3 stars
I followed it exactly, but honestly the flavor felt a bit flat. Salt/pepper “to taste” is kinda vague—should say a specific amount. Added extra garlic and it improved a lot.

    1. User avatar leida.nolan says:

      4 stars
Glad you said this—I had the same “flat” vibe the first time. “To taste” salt/pepper is helpful but for recipes like this it really needs a baseline amount. Might try ~1/2 tsp salt and a few grinds pepper next go.

  118. User avatar lourie.schaefer1998 says:

    5 stars
    Yummy!!

  119. User avatar Dr. Oneida Herzog says:

    5 stars
Yum! Just yum! Gonna try again tomorrow. Love mushrooms!!

  120. User avatar jeffrey.spinka15 says:

    4 stars
Pretty good, but I wish the cook time was clearer. Mine were a little underdone at 15 minutes, so I added a few extra minutes and they improved a lot.

  121. User avatar letitia.hand35 says:

    4 stars
375°F seems a little low? I baked mine and they took closer to 30 minutes to get tender. Once they were done, they were good, just adjust time based on mushroom size.

  122. User avatar fredericka.kunde67 says:

    5 stars
Made these last night and they were gone fast! The garlic-onion base smells incredible, and the parmesan in the filling gives it that savory punch. I baked mine closer to 20 min and the mushrooms stayed nice and tender.

  123. User avatar jimmie.cronin83 says:

    3 stars
Easy and tasty, but 200g beef for 12 mushrooms felt a little skimpy. I had extra mushrooms and not enough filling. Would scale up next time.

  124. User avatar wanda.schowalter87 says:

    4 stars
I used turkey instead of beef. Still worked pretty well! 🤷‍♂️

    1. User avatar Jeremy Heidenreich says:

      2 stars
But turkey doesn’t taste like beef! Is it really that good? 🤔

    2. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

      5 stars
That’s a great twist! Turkey is a healthier option. I might try that next time.

  125. User avatar Frodo Baggins says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but mine were kinda watery inside the mushrooms. Maybe I didn’t cook the beef long enough or the mushrooms were too big?

  126. User avatar pablo.mosciski says:

    5 stars
These were seriously so good—savory, juicy, and the Parmesan makes everything taste fancy. I used smaller mushrooms so my bake time was a bit longer, but it still worked.

    1. User avatar Kaci Klein says:

      5 stars
Omg yes—exactly that “fancy” vibe with the Parmesan. I love how juicy the filling stays. Thanks for the bake-time tip with smaller mushrooms!

  127. User avatar ALTplusF4 says:

    2 stars
These taste like they’re missing seasoning. I used salt/pepper but it felt bland—maybe my Parmesan wasn’t salty enough. Add more garlic/onion maybe?

    1. 4 stars
Totally agree—mine definitely tasted a bit muted the first time too. I started adding a pinch of garlic powder and a little extra Parmesan (plus more black pepper) and it helped a lot.

  128. User avatar josie.boyer61 says:

    5 stars
First time stuffing mushrooms and it came out way better than I expected. The smell while baking was amazing. Will make again for sure.

  129. User avatar Barry Manilow says:

    5 stars
These are sooo good! I made them for a party and everyone loved them. Will make again!

    1. User avatar Thanatos says:

      5 stars
I’m so glad to hear that! These are a hit at my gatherings too. What’s your secret for making them even better?

  130. User avatar otto.vandervort says:

    3 stars
I followed it pretty much exactly, but my filling was kind of dry. Next time I’ll add a tiny splash of olive oil or maybe a bit of tomato paste to keep it moist.

    1. User avatar vivien.green21 says:

      3 stars
Dry filling? Maybe you just need to add more Parmesan (it’s like moisture-ish) 😂 or cook the beef until it’s not overdone. I’d also bake a few minutes less if your oven runs hot.

    2. User avatar kristan.vandervort18 says:

      4 stars
Nice! I’ve had that happen when the beef cooks a little too lean/dry. A tiny bit of olive oil makes sense—also, make sure the mushrooms aren’t overcrowded so they release less moisture and steam evenly.

  131. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    2 stars
Kinda bland? I added salt/pepper but it still felt like it needed more flavor. The mushrooms themselves were good though.

  132. User avatar jerold.osinski says:

    4 stars
Pretty good! I used regular mushrooms (not “large”) and they still worked, but I think I underbaked them a bit because the caps felt a tad firm.

  133. User avatar lara.sporer72 says:

    4 stars
Really solid recipe. I did 20 minutes instead of 15 since my mushrooms were huge, and they turned out tender. Next time I’ll mince the onion a bit finer so the filling is smoother.

    1. 3 stars
I’m not convinced about 375°F. Mine were still a little watery at 15 minutes. Also 200g beef feels low for 12 huge caps… did you drain the mushrooms stems or something?

    2. User avatar rolanda.reichert61 says:

      5 stars
Thanks! Mushrooms vary so much—20 mins for huge ones makes total sense. Mince the onion finer and it’ll definitely come out smoother.

  134. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Kwaltz says:

    5 stars
These came out really tasty—savory beef with that little salty Parmesan kick. I roasted mine closer to 20 min and they were perfect and tender.

  135. 3 stars
Not bad, but I found them a little dry. Maybe I should’ve used more olive oil or baked for less time. Flavor is good though—garlic + Parmesan is always a win.

  136. User avatar marjorie.hagenes says:

    4 stars
Super easy and quick. I worried 15-20 minutes wouldn’t be enough for the mushroom texture, but they came out tender. Next time I’ll chop the onion finer.

    1. User avatar breana.reichel59 says:

      5 stars
Love this—mine also turned out tender even with the 15 minutes. I did find chopping the onion a bit finer makes the filling more even though. Nice simple recipe!

  137. User avatar cecelia.rutherford96 says:

    4 stars
375°F feels a little low? I baked mine 25 minutes just to get the mushrooms tender, so maybe my mushrooms were wetter or bigger. Still tasty though.

  138. User avatar anthony.reilly2011 says:

    2 stars
Lol these look good but I’m skeptical about stuffing mushrooms with just beef + Parmesan. I tried and it tastes fine, but I think it needs something more—like Worcestershire or herbs inside the mix.

  139. User avatar Antonia Christiansen says:

    5 stars
These turned out so flavorful! I sautéed the onion/garlic a little longer and the beef mixture smelled amazing. The Parmesan really pulls it together. Great quick appetizer.

  140. User avatar steve_maga says:

    2 stars
Not bad! I accidentally forgot the Parmesan until halfway through (don’t ask). It still turned out edible, but I think it would be way better with the cheese in the mixture like the recipe says.
