Baked feta pasta has taken the culinary world by storm, and for good reason. This simple yet delicious dish combines the creamy richness of feta cheese with the heartiness of pasta, creating a comforting and flavorful meal that’s perfect for any occasion. It’s an easy-to-make recipe that requires minimal ingredients, yet the result is a creamy, flavorful pasta that will quickly become a favorite in your weekly meal rotation.
At the heart of this dish is the feta cheese, which is baked alongside ripe tomatoes, olive oil, and a few aromatic seasonings. As it bakes, the feta softens and melds with the tomatoes, creating a luscious, creamy sauce that coats the pasta perfectly. The sweetness of the tomatoes pairs beautifully with the tanginess of the feta, and when mixed with the pasta, it creates a harmonious balance of flavors.
The key to this dish is simplicity. The feta cheese and tomatoes are the stars of the show, but you can easily customize the recipe with additional ingredients like garlic, herbs, or a squeeze of lemon for added brightness. Fresh basil or oregano adds a pop of freshness, while a drizzle of olive oil enhances the richness of the sauce. You can also experiment with different pasta shapes, from spaghetti to penne, to suit your preferences.
What makes baked feta pasta so special is the way the ingredients come together in the oven. The baking process transforms the feta into a creamy, sauce-like consistency that blends beautifully with the tomatoes and pasta. Once the dish is out of the oven, all you need to do is toss everything together, and you’re left with a delicious, indulgent meal that’s both comforting and satisfying.

This was not good, I didn’t like the texture of baked feta… gross!
Baked feta pasta? That sounds weird but it’s actually good! Who knew?
This recipe is AMAZING! The feta and tomatoes go so well together. Definitely a keeper!
I was skeptical at first, but this actually turned out great! A bit too salty for me tho.
Super easy and taste delish! I added some olives for extra flavor. Yum!
What if I don’t have cherry tomatoes? Can I use regular ones? Will it taste the same?
Basil is overrated! Just use parsley, saves money too. Otherwise good.
I tried it but my feta didn’t melt like expected… maybe my oven is too hot? Hmm…
Maybe you left it in for too short? Feta should melt if baked long enough! Also check your oven temp with a thermometer.
I dunno, my feta melted all fine. Maybe try a different brand next time? Don’t give up!
One of the best pasta dishes ever. My family loved it and it’s pretty simple!
I forgot to add garlic, STILL turned out okay but I think it woulda been better! Next time!
Garlic makes everything better! But glad it turned out okay for you! Next time, you’ll nail it!
I’m not sure about the “mix until creamy” part—mine was more like crumbles at first. Next time I’ll mash the feta longer. Flavor was good though!
Mine also did the crumb thing 😅 I thought I messed up but the flavor still hit. Next time I’ll keep it in the oven the full 30 and mash longer like you said.
Yeah that “creamy” step is kinda vague—mine wasn’t creamy right away either. I let the feta cool 2 mins and then mashed it really well with a fork before mixing with the pasta water. Worked great after that!
Is it really worth baking the feta? Can’t you just mix it raw? Feels like extra work.
Best dish I’ve made! That creamy feta with tomatoes is life-changing. Thank you!
I’m not great at cooking but this was super easy. Never thought feta could taste like this!
Baker here – I like to use mozzarella instead of feta. Can I do that? Don’t really like feta. 🤷♀️
This dish was so delicious! The feta makes everything creamy and the tomatoes burst with flavor. I added extra garlic, yummm!
I totally agree! This is my go-to comfort food now. The garlic really adds that extra kick!
Hmm, I tried making it but it didn’t turn out like yours. My feta didn’t melt… What did I do wrong?
Pretty good, but 25 minutes felt a little short for my oven. I ended up going closer to 35 and the feta got more golden. Still delicious though—nice simple comfort food.
I followed it mostly, but my feta didn’t get as golden—maybe my oven runs cool. Also I forgot the basil until the end, still good though.
Oh yeah, if your oven runs cool the feta won’t get that golden top. Next time try 10 more minutes or bump to 220°C—also letting it sit under the broiler for a minute helps (watch it closely). Still sounds like you nailed the creamy bake even without the basil right away!
Confused about the pasta water part at first, but once I tossed it in, the whole thing turned glossy and creamy. Great tip hiding in there.
Too much oil! I think I’ll cut back next time. Otherwise, it was fine.
This isn’t a real recipe. You just put stuff in a dish and bake it? Nope.
Actually, it’s a super easy recipe and it tastes great! Sometimes simple is best. 😊
Tried it but my feta burned. Should I put less time? 🤔
Too spicy for my kids with the red pepper flakes! Next time, I’ll skip that part. But the basil was nice. 🌿
Best pasta I’ve ever made! My family loved it and it was so easy to prep. Will definitely make again!
I’m so glad to hear that! It’s such an easy recipe and I love how creamy it turns out. What type of pasta did you use?
Really? I tried this and it was kinda bland. Maybe I didn’t use enough spices? Not sure about this one…
Baked feta pasta sounds fancy but it’s really easy actually! I love it 💕
Totally agree! I made it last week and it was a hit! So creamy and delish! 😍
Easy? I don’t think so! My feta turned into a gooey mess. What did I do wrong?
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about mixing feta and pasta water, but wow it actually emulsified and thickened.
Meh. This is just another pasta dish, nothing special. Feta isn’t my thing.
Super salty for me even though I “to taste” salted. Next time I’ll use less feta-brine or add unsalted pasta water. Otherwise nice and comforting.
Okay, I was skeptical about baking the feta in the middle like that, but wow. It honestly tastes restaurant-y.
This tasted like “feta + tomatoes” which is good, but I expected more wow. Maybe my feta was a little mild. Next time I’ll salt more and maybe add lemon.
I didn’t have cherry tomatoes, so I used regular ones. Still turned out delish!
Using regular tomatoes?? Seems risky! They ain’t as sweet as cherries tho.
That’s awesome! Regular tomatoes work too. Glad it turned out for you!
Five stars for sure. Very easy. My kids wanted seconds, and I’m not even a “baking dish” person 😂
Tried it with farfalle and fresh tomatoes. The garlic + pepper flakes smelled amazing while baking. I did need to add more pasta water than I expected, but it still turned out great.
Yes!! Farfalle is such a good choice here. And same—those garlic/pepper flakes are next-level once they bake. Glad the extra pasta water helped too—this one really needs a little “oops, pour more” sometimes 😄
Can I use dried herbs instead of fresh basil? Don’t have any on hand! 😊
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical that baking a block of feta would work. It does. Also my garlic went a little brown because I minced it too fine, but it still tasted delicious.
200°C seems a bit high? My tomatoes started to split super early and I was worried the feta would get too dry. Ended up okay, but I’d lower the temp next time.
This was soooo good! I can’t believe how easy it was. 😍
Delicious!! My whole family loved it, even my picky kids.
I love the simplicity! It reminds me of summers in Italy… 🇮🇹 Yum!
How many people does this serve? I think I ate it all myself… Oops. 😂
