Air Fryer Breakfast Frittata

December 5, 2025

Air Fryer Breakfast Frittata is the kind of morning hero that makes busy days feel a little easier and slow weekends even more enjoyable. Light, fluffy, and packed with fresh vegetables, melted cheese, and your favorite breakfast add ins, it comes together in minutes and cooks to perfection without ever turning on the oven. The air fryer creates a gentle, even heat that gives this frittata a tender interior and a golden top, turning simple ingredients into something warm and satisfying.

The beauty of this recipe is how customizable it is. You can use classic breakfast flavors like spinach, mushrooms, and cheddar, or try brighter combinations like bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, or even small cubes of ham or crispy bacon. A handful of fresh herbs brings another layer of flavor, and a dollop of soft cheese creates little creamy pockets throughout. Once it’s mixed, the batter goes into a greased air fryer safe dish and cooks quickly, making it ideal for mornings when you want something homemade without much effort.

This frittata also reheats beautifully, so you can make it ahead for meal prep. Slice it into wedges and store in the fridge for grab and go breakfasts during the week. It’s hearty enough to stand alone, yet light enough to pair with something fresh.

For pairing, serve your breakfast frittata with a small side of mixed greens tossed with lemon vinaigrette to brighten the plate. Fresh fruit is another great match, especially berries or sliced citrus that cut through the richness with their natural acidity. If you want something more indulgent, crispy hash brown pancakes or buttered toast complement the silky texture of the eggs. For drinks, a simple cup of coffee or a lightly sweetened chai latte works beautifully, while freshly squeezed orange juice brings a refreshing balance to the savory flavor.

Perfect for brunch, meal prep, or leisurely mornings, this Air Fryer Breakfast Frittata is a delicious reminder that simple ingredients can make something truly memorable with just a little heat and a few minutes of time.

Idk what I did wrong, but mine came out burnt 😭. I followed the time but maybe my air fryer is too powerful.

  2. 2 stars
Why did you add bacon? This is breakfast, not a heart attack! Just veggies would be better.

    1. User avatar Anibal Hackett says:

      5 stars
Bacon gives it flavor! Can’t have a good breakfast without it. Plus, who doesn’t love bacon? 😋

  3. 4 stars
easy and yummy!! I’m gonna make it again tomorrow. Mmm 👌

    1. 5 stars
So glad you liked it! It’s super simple to whip up. What other ingredients are you thinking of trying?

    2. 2 stars
I don’t know, I’ve tried frittatas before and they never turn out right for me. 😕

  4. User avatar leanora.ryan43 says:

    3 stars
I don’t know, it was okay I guess. I thought it would be fluffier. I think my eggs were too old.

  5. User avatar roseanna.wilderman says:

    5 stars
This was delicious! The kids loved it, and I made it for brunch. Definitely a keeper!

  6. User avatar Shadout Mapes says:

    5 stars
This frittata is the best! So easy and tasty! 😍

  7. 4 stars
I used pre-cooked bacon bits because I was lazy and it tasted fine, but I think fresh bacon would be better. Also, I didn’t have an oven-safe dish so I used a small silicone one—worked okay.

  8. User avatar hung.balistreri says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have bacon, used sausage instead, still turn out fine. Will definitely do it again.

  9. User avatar deon.hermiston0 says:

    5 stars
This was a hit with my kids! Easy to make and delicious. Thank you!

  10. User avatar Dr. Mammie Smitham says:

    5 stars
OMG, this was so good! I added some spinach too and it made it even better! 10/10!

  11. 2 stars
I tried making this but it came out rubbery. What did I do wrong? 🤔

  12. User avatar darrin.hegmann6 says:

    5 stars
Perfect breakfast! Easy to customize and full of flavor! 😋

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree! I made this with spinach instead of bacon and it was still amazing! 😍

  13. 5 stars
Made this for brunch and it was actually fluffy for an air fryer! Loved the bacon + cheddar combo. Next time I’ll add a little garlic powder.

  14. User avatar branden.wehner88 says:

    3 stars
Could you not just use an oven? I tried this and the results were kinda similar but faster. Still, I’m not convinced it’s worth the hype.

  15. User avatar elmer.wilderman says:

    5 stars
So good! I might never use the oven again! Lol

  16. User avatar terence.metz30 says:

    5 stars
The cheese made it perfect. I was worried the bacon would dry out, but nah. Great breakfast.

  17. 4 stars
Easier than meal prepping normal breakfast. 10/10 would eat again 😅

  18. 3 stars
Hmm… 15 minutes at 350°F seems a bit optimistic for my air fryer. Mine was still very jiggly in the middle at 15. I ended up adding more time and it was fine after that.

    1. User avatar clint.glover80 says:

      5 stars
That makes total sense—air fryer models vary a lot. I usually check at 15 minutes too and add 2–5 minutes if the center isn’t set. Glad it worked out!

  19. User avatar allan.huels says:

    3 stars
This sounds like a healthy option! But I’m not sure about the air fryer… mine always burns stuff!

  20. User avatar Martin Dare DDS says:

    3 stars
I followed it exactly and it came out kind of bland. Salt and pepper are “to taste,” but even after seasoning it felt like it needed something—maybe hot sauce or garlic powder?

  21. 3 stars
Mine stuck to the dish even though I greased it. Next time I’ll line it with a little parchment or more spray.

  22. 5 stars
Tried this this morning—so easy and the top browned nicely. I added a pinch of garlic powder and it tasted restaurant-y.

    1. User avatar eric.larkin1994 says:

      5 stars
Love hearing that! A pinch of garlic powder sounds like the perfect upgrade—glad it browned nicely too.

  23. User avatar arnulfo.bauch says:

    4 stars
Not bad at all. I used mozzarella instead of cheddar and it still worked. Next time I’ll chop the peppers a bit smaller so they distribute more evenly.

  24. 3 stars
Just 15 minutes? Seems too quick. How could it cook all the way through?

  25. User avatar Flame Atronach says:

    4 stars
Not bad! I think 15 minutes was a hair short for my air fryer though, so I added like 3 more and it came out perfect.

  26. User avatar Harry Marks says:

    3 stars
I used regular pepperoni instead of bacon (don’t judge). It worked, kind of. I think the onion should be cooked a bit first though.

    1. 4 stars
Honestly, pepperoni instead of bacon sounds kinda genius—grease + salt + flavor. 😄 But yeah, I agree about the onion. Air fryer onions can stay a little sharp if they go in raw, so cooking them a few minutes first (or dicing smaller) would probably make it smoother.

  27. User avatar doreatha.mills says:

    1 star
Disgusting! I don’t like eggs. Never going to make this again.

  28. User avatar fermina.mayert2003 says:

    4 stars
If you’re using oven-safe dish, make sure it fits the basket—ask me how I learned 🙃. Once I fixed that, it worked fine.

  29. 5 stars
Made this for brunch and it turned out super fluffy. The bacon + cheddar combo is exactly right. I didn’t even need extra salt—nice.

    1. User avatar orville.von1959 says:

      5 stars
Brunch win!! Air fryer frittatas are such a lifesaver—glad the bacon + cheddar came out perfect. I love that you didn’t need extra salt too.

  30. User avatar reanna.schaefer92 says:

    3 stars
I’m not sure I greased the dish enough—mine stuck a bit. Taste was great, but presentation was messy. Would try a nonstick dish or more grease.

  31. 4 stars
Easy and fast. I used a slightly smaller dish so I cooked it maybe 2-3 minutes longer—just keep an eye on it. Tastes way better than I expected.

    1. User avatar Edmond Waelchi says:

      5 stars
Good tip! I always forget air fryer times vary with pan size—2-3 minutes sounds spot on. I’ll keep an eye on it next time. 😊

  32. User avatar rickiestmorty says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I wish it had more seasoning ideas. Like garlic or herbs. Salt and pepper felt a little plain to me.

  33. User avatar Dominic Quigley says:

    2 stars
I don’t know, my frittata turned out kinda mushy. Maybe I did something wrong?

  34. User avatar clyde.adams2017 says:

    4 stars
350°F for 15 minutes?? That seems too short. I doubted it, but mine set at exactly 15. Either my air fryer is magic or I got lucky.

  35. User avatar cuc.vonrueden says:

    5 stars
5 stars—because bacon makes everything better. I crumbled it fine and it was perfect in every bite.

  36. User avatar dino.kilback11 says:

    4 stars
You can really add any toppings you like. I used mushrooms instead and it was great! Love my air fryer! 🍳

  37. User avatar eric.champlin40 says:

    3 stars
Why bacon? Why not sausage? Just saying…

    1. User avatar ladonna.steuber73 says:

      4 stars
Bacon just adds that extra flavor, you know? But I guess sausage could work too! 😄

  38. User avatar theresia.stehr25 says:

    1 star
Eh, not a fan. Tasted too eggy for my liking. 😒

  39. User avatar elissa.heathcote45 says:

    5 stars
First time making a frittata and I nailed it! Air fryer magic!

  40. User avatar miquel.rohan81 says:

    5 stars
Air fryer frittata is my new breakfast obsession. Bacon + onions + cheese combo never fails.

    1. 4 stars
sounds good but 15 min at 350 always undercooks mine 😅 i usually need like 20-25. also how much milk is 1/4 cup—does it matter?

    2. 5 stars
Totally agree—bacon + onions + cheese is elite. I’ve been making frittatas in my air fryer too and it’s so fast. 🔥

  41. User avatar Ella Vader says:

    4 stars
My air fryer must run hot because mine took more like 20 minutes. Still turned out good though—just keep an eye on it.

  42. User avatar lamonica.kuhic1992 says:

    2 stars
3/10 because I hate bell pepper. Like why is it always in everything lol. But for ppl who like it, I guess it’s fine.

  43. User avatar steven.kulas21 says:

    4 stars
Honestly thought it would be rubbery, but it wasn’t. The veggies stayed crunchy-ish, which I liked. Will make again.

  44. 4 stars
Pretty good and easy, but my veggies were a little watery. Next time I’ll sauté the onion/pepper first so it firms up better.

    1. 4 stars
Watery veggies… did you dice them kinda big? I think 15 min might be a little short if your onions are juicy. I usually cook them longer in a pan first and it fixes it. Also, salt makes onions release water, so maybe salt after sautéing?

    2. User avatar sidney.mclaughlin says:

      5 stars
I’ve had that happen too—air fryers can steam the veggies a bit if they go in raw. Sautéing first (or roasting the peppers/onions) should help a lot. Thanks for the tip!

  45. 4 stars
Great flavor, but 15 minutes felt short in my machine. I needed more like 18–20. Still would make again.

    1. User avatar herb.stanton says:

      4 stars
15 min?? Mine would be raw after that 😅 I usually go longer like you. Maybe your air fryer runs hotter/cooler—either way I’d add time until it’s fully set.

    2. User avatar darrel.considine91 says:

      5 stars
Good to know! I’ve found air fryer times vary a lot by brand and dish depth—18–20 min sounds about right if it’s coming out under-set for you. Thanks for the tip!

  46. User avatar eugenio.hirthe says:

    5 stars
I made this today—super easy and the top browning is legit. I used mozzarella instead of cheddar and it still worked great.

  47. User avatar Ulee Daway says:

    3 stars
I followed it exactly and it browned too much on top at 15 minutes. Maybe my air fryer runs hot—will check at 12 next time.

    1. User avatar felipe.oconner says:

      5 stars
Yeah that sounds like an air-fryer temp thing. I’d start checking around 10–12 min too—mine browns fast at 350°F as well.

  48. User avatar shemeka.daniel says:

    5 stars
Made this for brunch and it turned out fluffy and actually browned a little like the recipe said. The bacon + cheddar combo is perfect. Will definitely make again!

  49. User avatar ezekiel.rippin says:

    5 stars
I LOVE frittatas but I’m skeptical about air fryer versions. Surprisingly this worked! Textbook egg texture, and cleanup was minimal.

  50. User avatar theressa.tillman says:

    4 stars
Honestly I’m skeptical about air fryers for things like eggs, but this turned out fluffy. I’m not even mad.

  51. User avatar angelia.purdy says:

    2 stars
This was easy but I overcooked it… like, 20 minutes and it got dry. Still edible, just not the best texture.

  52. User avatar Sharen Kirlin says:

    5 stars
    So good 😋

    1. User avatar Harry Armand Bach says:

      3 stars
How long did you cook it? I tried once and mine was kinda eggy in the middle… maybe my air fryer runs hot?

    2. 5 stars
Right?? The bacon + cheddar combo makes it so flavorful 😋

  53. User avatar hae.lynch24 says:

    4 stars
Honestly… the preheat step matters. I didn’t preheat one time and it was pale and sad. Preheat, people 😅

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree 😅 I skipped preheating once and it came out looking super anemic. Preheat is the difference between “breakfast” and “egg-ish sadness.”

    2. User avatar tissues_with_issues says:

      3 stars
Idk, I usually just set it and start… mine still browns though. Maybe my air fryer runs hotter? Either way I’ll try preheating next time.

  54. User avatar neal.roberts56 says:

    4 stars
The cooking time is questionable. Mine wasn’t fully set at 15 minutes, so I added like 5 more. Still tasted great though.

    1. User avatar palmer.kovacek2014 says:

      4 stars
Maybe mine was off too… I swear my air fryer runs hot, because 15 min already looked done but the middle was kinda runny. Added a few more minutes and yeah, worked. Cooking time is definitely “recipe says” not “guaranteed.”

    2. User avatar Tricia McMillan says:

      5 stars
I’m glad you said that—I was worried 15 minutes would be too short depending on the dish size. I’ll keep an eye on it and add time as needed too. Glad it still came out great!

  55. User avatar mayme.lesch63 says:

    4 stars
Quick and easy! I added some spinach too. Yumm!

  56. User avatar muriel.bruen says:

    3 stars
The idea is great, but I wish the instructions said what size dish to use. Mine was too big and it cooked uneven.

  57. User avatar Yooden Vranx says:

    2 stars
I thought this was gonna be a quiche…not the same!

  58. User avatar hester.nitzsche56 says:

    4 stars
Not bad at all. I used half-and-half instead of milk and it came out a little richer. Next time I’ll add spinach for more flavor.

  59. User avatar rich.landlord says:

    2 stars
Kinda weird measurements… like 1/4 cup onion? That’s not much. Mine felt veggie-light but I guess it’s good if you like more egg.

  60. User avatar Draugr Thrall says:

    3 stars
I don’t have an oven-safe dish that fits. I ended up using a small metal pan and lined it with parchment—worked surprisingly well.

  61. User avatar MrsLucyG says:

    3 stars
4 eggs? That’s like too much! Should be two, right?

  62. User avatar chris.jast55 says:

    2 stars
Hate to be that person but 1/4 cup milk seems too little. I think it’d be better with a splash more so it doesn’t get rubbery.

  63. User avatar amina.hoeger44 says:

    5 stars
So simple. I added spinach and it was still done in about the same time. Tastes like a real brunch meal.

  64. User avatar Mr. Ernie Hane says:

    3 stars
Idk, 1/4 cup onion seems too much maybe? Mine was a little strong. Could be just my onion tho.

    1. User avatar dennis.hartmann11 says:

      3 stars
I used the full 1/4 cup and it tasted fine to me… but maybe my onions were sweeter? 350 for 15 min is perfect though, mine never gets too strong. Maybe you had a stronger onion lol

    2. User avatar lekisha.champlin27 says:

      5 stars
Yeah I think you might be right—onion can be pretty punchy, especially if it’s not super mild. Next time I’d try 1–2 tbsp and see how it goes.

  65. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

    2 stars
It came out kinda rubbery for me, even though I followed the timing. Maybe my eggs were too large or my air fryer runs hot?

  66. User avatar jana.kertzmann says:

    5 stars
Air fryer frittatas are my new obsession. This is basically breakfast comfort food with zero fuss. 10/10 would make again!

  67. User avatar margarito.kshlerin99 says:

    4 stars
Pretty solid recipe. I did 18 minutes because mine looked too jiggly at 15. Still turned out good though—nice and browned.

  68. User avatar yahaira.reichel says:

    5 stars
I like that it’s basically a no-fuss breakfast. Would be even better with some spinach or mushrooms.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—this is super no-fuss. Spinach or mushrooms would be great. I’d probably sauté the mushrooms first so they don’t add extra moisture, but either way sounds delicious.

  69. User avatar gretchen.parisian24 says:

    5 stars
The amount of cheese felt perfect. I used sharp cheddar and it slapped. Air fryer breakfast food is underrated.

    1. User avatar fred.kshlerin1965 says:

      5 stars
Yes!! Sharp cheddar is the move. I’ve done it with mozzarella before and it didn’t have the same punch—cheddar really brings it together.

    2. User avatar Ma'randru-jo says:

      3 stars
I tried air fryer stuff before but it always comes out dry for me… 15 min seems kinda short tho. Did you cover it or just leave it open? 😅 Also I used Colby cuz that’s what I had and it was okay.

  70. User avatar Renato Rohan says:

    5 stars
Two thumbs up. Simple ingredients, no weird steps. My kids ate it without complaining (for once).
