Roasted Sweet Potato Salad is a vibrant and wholesome dish that perfectly balances flavor, texture, and nutrition. Sweet potatoes, with their natural sweetness and hearty texture, make a fantastic base for a salad that feels both satisfying and refreshing. Roasting them brings out their rich, caramelized flavor, while a mix of fresh greens, crunchy vegetables, and zesty dressings creates a dish that’s as visually stunning as it is delicious.
What sets this salad apart is its versatility. It can be served warm, straight from the oven, or chilled for a refreshing side dish, making it suitable for any season. In colder months, roasted sweet potatoes add a comforting, cozy element, while in the summer, they bring a burst of color and flavor to picnics or barbecues. This salad is also perfect as a side for grilled meats, a topping for grain bowls, or even as a main course for a lighter meal.
Nutritionally, roasted sweet potatoes are a powerhouse ingredient. They’re rich in vitamins A and C, potassium, and fiber, making them a great choice for anyone seeking a healthy yet satisfying dish. Their natural sweetness pairs beautifully with savory toppings like feta or goat cheese, earthy greens like kale or arugula, and bright notes from citrus or vinaigrette dressings. A sprinkle of nuts or seeds adds crunch and healthy fats, completing the flavor profile and turning this salad into a well-rounded meal.
Another appealing feature of this dish is its ability to be easily customized. You can toss in roasted chickpeas for extra protein, add avocado for creaminess, or experiment with spices like paprika or cumin to give the sweet potatoes a smoky or spiced kick. The ingredients are simple, yet the combination feels gourmet, making this a great go-to recipe for entertaining guests or meal prepping for the week.

This salad was so delicious! The sweetness of the potatoes pairs perfectly with the feta. My new favorite dish!
Not sure what the hype is about… Sweet potatoes in a salad? That’s kinda weird. I’ll stick to regular salad!
I agree! This salad is truly a delight! I never thought sweet potatoes and feta would work so well together. Will be making this again!
Really easy to make! Love it! I added some nuts for crunch, yum!
Tasty but I can’t believe people rave about this salad. It’s just some veggies! 😂
This salad was delicious! The sweet potatoes really brought out the flavors.
I’m glad you loved it! Sweet potatoes are the best! 😊
Roasted sweet potatoes are the best! But I don’t get the point of adding honey?? Seemed unnecessary for me.
I followed the recipe exactly but it turned out a bit bland. Maybe add more honey or spices?
Was expecting more flavor, but it was okay. Sweet potatoes need more seasoning!
I completely agree! A little more salt and some garlic would really bring out the flavors. A bit disappointed with this one too.
I thought it was pretty good! Maybe you just have different taste buds? Sweet potatoes are naturally sweet, they don’t need too much seasoning.
Yum! I added some walnuts for crunch. So good!!
This recipe is a hit in my family! Even the kids ate their veggies!
Why would you put feta in a salad? It just makes it taste weird. I used cheddar instead, much better! 🤢
Sweet potatoes are not for salads! People should eat them baked only! Crazy mix up.
I dunno, I think sweet potatoes and salad just don’t mix well. Can’t say I’m a fan.
I get what you’re saying! Sweet potatoes can be a bit too sweet for a salad for some people. Maybe try it without the sweet potatoes next time?
I forgot to preheat the oven and it took way longer than expected. LOL.
This was delicious! I substituted arugula for spinach and it turned out amazing!
Arugula instead of spinach? I don’t know if that’s a good swap… Is it really better? 🤔
That sounds so good! I love how you made it your own with the arugula. I’ll have to try that next time! 👍
sweet pear and feta salads better tho
Yummm! Feta and sweet potatos are a bliss! Will definitely make again.
Absolutely! The combo of feta and sweet potatoes is just perfect. Glad you liked it! 😊
I don’t know, sweet potatoes and feta? Sounds weird to me. 🤔
Eh, it was just alright. The spinach got kinda mushy.
That honey dressing is super good. I could drink it!
Drinking dressing sounds gross. Just use it on salad like a normal person!
I totally agree! The honey dressing makes everything better!
Is this really healthy? Sweet potatos are carbs! Not sure about this recipe.
Rating based on expectation since I haven’t made this yet. We are traveling to relatives for Thanksgiving this year and have been asked to provide a salad and plan to try this one. We may use butternut squash to lower the sweetness factor, though we’ve talked about kicking it back up by adding some chopped pralines. Will try to remember to report back.
