A delicious plum and almond crumble that brings together the sweetness of ripe plums with the nutty texture of almonds. It is a perfect dessert for any occasion and is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- 500 grams Plums pitted and sliced
- 100 grams Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 150 grams All-purpose flour
- 100 grams Almond flour
- 100 grams Butter cold and cut into cubes
- 50 grams Sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, combine the sliced plums with 50 grams of sugar and the cinnamon. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, almond flour, and the remaining sugar. Add the cold butter cubes and rub them into the flour mixture using your fingertips until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Place the plum mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the plums and top with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the plums are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
