When two iconic desserts combine, magic happens. Oreo brownies bring together the dense, fudgy goodness of classic brownies with the crunch and creaminess of everyone’s favorite cookie. It’s a match made in dessert heaven.
The base of this treat is a rich brownie batter, made with real melted chocolate and a generous amount of cocoa powder. This double-chocolate combo guarantees that intense, deep cocoa flavor with every bite. The texture walks that perfect line between gooey and chewy, giving you everything you want in a brownie.
But what makes these special, of course, are the Oreos. Some are crushed and folded into the batter, some are layered whole for a surprise crunch, and a few are crumbled on top for that picture-perfect finish. When baked, the cookies soften slightly while still holding their structure, offering a contrast of textures that takes these brownies to another level.
They’re surprisingly easy to make. No mixer needed, just a couple of bowls and a whisk. You can use store-brand chocolate sandwich cookies if you prefer, or even try fun seasonal Oreo flavors for a twist, think mint, peanut butter, or red velvet.
Want to elevate them even more? Serve your Oreo brownies slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with a bit of melted white chocolate. You can even bake them in muffin tins for individual servings, perfect for parties or packed lunches.
These brownies are great for bake sales, birthdays, or just curing a serious chocolate craving. They store well, too, so you can make them ahead and keep a stash for those moments when only chocolate will do.
Whether you’re baking for Oreo fans or brownie lovers (or both), this recipe delivers big flavor with minimal effort. Soft, rich, and cookie-loaded, these Oreo brownies are guaranteed to disappear fast.

Brownies with Oreos? I didn’t think that was a thing. But I guess it’s a hit! 🍪
Omg I forgot the cocoa powder! They turned out weird… Pfft. No one will get my secret though haha.
Too many cookies, maybe? It was like crunching on a rock. 🙄
Uhm, can I use margarine instead of butter? I’m out of butter! Help!
Could’ve sworn I needed baking powder. Guess I was wrong? Idk. But they were okay.
Yeah, sometimes recipes are forgiving like that! Glad they turned out okay for you. 🍫
Looks easy but I dunno if I trust it. Like, cocoa powder and sugar? Sounds too sweet.
YUM! My kids devoured them in minutes. Super easy to make too. Thanks for sharing!
There’s a lot of butter in this. Is it healthy? I feel like I should use less next time.
I followed the recipe but they came out too dense. What did I do wrong? 🤔
I dunno, they shouldn’t be dense. Did you measure everything right? Like, too much flour or somethin’?
Maybe you overmixed the batter? That can make them dense. Just mix until combined next time! 😊
Why do you need to melt the butter? I just mixed everything cold and it worked fine.
Melted butter helps to create a smoother batter and better texture. Cold butter can change the outcome! Just saying.
Who needs melted butter? I mean, if it worked for YOU, then it’s probably fine. But I’d still stick with the recipe instructions.
I didn’t have enough cocoa powder, used chocolate syrup instead. Still turned out delish!
That’s creative! Never thought to use chocolate syrup. Might try it next time!
Too much sugar if you ask me. Should have just used half the amount. My teeth hurt just thinking about it.
Oreo + brownies = match made in heaven!!! I’m making these for the bake sale. Hope they go quick!
These sound amazing! Can’t wait to try them myself. Good luck at the bake sale!
Really? You think these taste good? They are way too sweet for my liking, I couldn’t even finish one!
Baking them now! The smell is killing me! Can’t wait to taste 😍
Oh, I can only imagine how great that smells! Hope they turn out as amazing as they sound! 🍪
Less butter next time? They were too greasy for my taste. But I still ate them all lol.
More butter = more flavor, am I right? But I guess everyone has different tastes!
I actually liked them the way they are! Maybe just needs some cooling time. 😂
These brownies are absolutely divine! So chocolaty and the Oreo pieces make it even better. Will definitely make again.
Yummy in my tummy! ❤️ These brownies were a hit at the party!
Who knew brownie could be so easy? I love it. Gonna share with fam!
Imma try with peanut butter cups instead of Oreos, hope it’s still good! Can’t wait!
