Mixed Berry Tiramisu

July 16, 2025

Mixed Berry Tiramisu is a light and elegant dessert that puts a summery spin on the traditional Italian favorite. While classic tiramisu leans into coffee and cocoa, this version brightens things up with layers of juicy berries, creamy mascarpone, and soft ladyfingers soaked in berry syrup. It’s refreshing, colorful, and perfect for warm-weather gatherings or when you’re craving something sweet but not overly rich.

What makes this dessert so special is the balance of textures and flavors. The ladyfingers provide a soft, cake-like base that absorbs the berry juices, creating a melt-in-your-mouth layer with just the right amount of sweetness. Instead of espresso, the ladyfingers are soaked in a lightly sweetened berry syrup or juice, often made from mashed strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, giving the dessert a tart and fruity kick.

The creamy layer features the same mascarpone-based filling you’d expect from a traditional tiramisu. Mixed with whipped cream and a touch of vanilla, it’s silky, light, and slightly tangy, making it the perfect contrast to the sweet berries. Fresh berries are layered in between, adding bright pops of color and a juicy burst in every bite.

Visually, this tiramisu is a showstopper. The vibrant reds and purples from the berries stand out beautifully against the creamy white filling. Garnished with a few whole berries and a sprinkle of powdered sugar or fresh mint leaves, it’s a dessert that looks as good as it tastes.

One of the best things about Mixed Berry Tiramisu is that it’s made ahead of time and served chilled, making it an easy and convenient option for entertaining. It gets better as it rests, allowing the flavors to meld and the layers to set into a soft, scoopable treat.

Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or just want a fun twist on a classic favorite, Mixed Berry Tiramisu is a delightful, fruity dessert that feels both special and effortless.

Too much cream for my taste. Also, can I use just any fruit? My blueberries were bad.

Does anyone else think the ladyfingers must be stale? They got too soggy for me. 😒

I think you just need to be quicker with the dipping! Fresh ladyfingers should hold up better. 😅

It was decent, but I feel like it needs something more… maybe chocolate? Just a thought.

I totally get what you mean! A bit of chocolate could really elevate it! Maybe some chocolate shavings on top?

    2. 3 stars
Chocolate? Really? I thought it was fine without it, but hey, everyone has their taste! 🤷‍♂️

I dunno, it was okay, but I think I prefer the classic tiramisu without the fruity stuff.

Coffee flavor in a tiramisu? That’s how it’s supposed to be! This mixed berry thing sounds weird, but if it was good, maybe I’ll try it.

  27. User avatar thora.shields44 says:

    3 stars
I dunno, I thought it was a bit too sweet. Also, should I really refrigerate it for 2 hours? Feels like a long time!

    1. User avatar chae.koch2010 says:

      3 stars
2 hours?! That’s way too long. I usually do just 30 mins and it still tastes good. But I get what you mean about the sweetness too, could be a personal thing.

    2. User avatar mason.kris76 says:

      4 stars
I’ve made this before and it wasn’t too sweet at all! Maybe try less powdered sugar next time? And yeah, it really does need 2 hours in the fridge for the best flavor. Trust me!

  31. User avatar bianca.nienow30 says:

    2 stars
I messed it up, the layers didn’t hold. Maybe I dipped the ladyfingers too long?

    1. 4 stars
You might want to whip the mascarpone a bit before folding in the cream! It should help with the texture.
