Grilled Sausage & Veggie Foil Packs

May 14, 2025

Grilled Sausage & Veggie Foil Packs are an easy and delicious way to enjoy a complete meal with minimal cleanup. Perfect for grilling, camping, or even baking in the oven, these foil packs combine savory sausage, colorful vegetables, and a blend of seasonings, all cooked together to create a satisfying, flavorful dish.

To prepare this meal, start by choosing your favorite sausage—whether it’s bratwurst, Italian, or chicken sausage. Cut the sausages into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Next, chop a variety of vegetables, such as bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and potatoes, into small chunks that will cook evenly.

Lay out a sheet of aluminum foil for each serving, and place a portion of sausage and vegetables in the center. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with your choice of seasonings, such as garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and a touch of dried herbs like thyme or rosemary. If you like a bit of spice, you can add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.

Fold the foil around the ingredients to create a sealed packet, ensuring that the steam stays inside to cook everything perfectly. Place the foil packs on the grill over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, or bake them in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for the same amount of time. The result is a juicy, flavorful combination of tender sausage and perfectly roasted vegetables.

These foil packs are a versatile meal that can be customized to your taste. Feel free to swap in different vegetables, use sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes, or even add cheese or fresh herbs before serving. The beauty of this recipe is that it’s easy, hands-off, and can be prepared in advance, making it ideal for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Grilled Sausage & Veggie Foil Packs are a hearty, flavorful meal that’s as convenient as it is delicious. Perfect for outdoor grilling or cozy indoor dinners, these foil packs are a satisfying way to enjoy sausages and veggies with all the smoky, savory goodness you crave.

This look yum but I don’t like zucchini! Can I just leave it out? Will it mess up the recipe?

Nah, I don’t think it’s a good idea to skip the zucchini. It adds flavor! Maybe try a different veggie instead?

You can totally leave out the zucchini! It won’t ruin the recipe at all. Just add more peppers or onions if you want. Enjoy!
