Apple-Sausage Hash
A hearty and flavorful dish perfect for a comforting breakfast or brunch, combining sweet apples and savory sausage with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 2 pcs apples cored and diced
- 1 lb sausage cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup potatoes diced
- 1 pcs onion chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp thyme fresh or dried
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in diced potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the diced apples and cook for 5 minutes, until they start to soften.
- Stir in the crumbled sausage, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for another 5 minutes, until everything is heated through and well combined.

I don’t know about mixing apples with sausage. Seems weird. But I tried it and wow, it’s tasty!
This recipe was surprisingly good! The apples add a nice sweet touch. Will make again!
I didn’t have thyme so I used rosemary and it still turned out great. Just make sure to cook the potatoes longer.
