Greek Grilled Chicken Wraps with Hummus

February 20, 2024

Greek grilled chicken wraps with hummus are a simple yet flavorful meal that combines tender, marinated chicken with fresh veggies and creamy hummus, all wrapped up in a soft pita. This dish is perfect for a quick lunch, a healthy dinner, or a delicious picnic option. The vibrant Mediterranean flavors make every bite a delightful experience, and the best part is how easy it is to prepare.

The chicken is marinated in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and a blend of herbs like oregano and thyme. This infusion of flavors gives the chicken a savory, citrusy zing and helps it stay juicy and tender when grilled. Once cooked, the chicken is sliced into strips, making it easy to tuck into a wrap and enjoy with your favorite toppings.

The base of the wrap is a generous spread of hummus, which adds both creaminess and a rich, nutty flavor that pairs beautifully with the grilled chicken. Hummus is not only a great source of healthy fats, but it also enhances the overall texture of the wrap, making each bite satisfying. You can use store-bought hummus for convenience or make your own at home if you prefer a more personalized touch.

To add crunch and freshness, top the wrap with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and a handful of fresh greens, such as spinach or lettuce. A sprinkle of feta cheese and a drizzle of tzatziki sauce can bring in additional Mediterranean flavors, though they’re optional depending on your preferences.

These Greek grilled chicken wraps with hummus are highly customizable, so feel free to adjust the ingredients based on what you have in the fridge or what you’re craving. They’re also great for meal prepping, as you can assemble the wraps ahead of time and store them in the fridge for easy grab-and-go meals throughout the week.

Healthy, filling, and packed with flavor, these wraps make for the perfect Mediterranean-inspired meal that’s sure to please everyone at the table. Whether you’re looking for a light lunch or a quick dinner, Greek grilled chicken wraps with hummus are a delicious, satisfying option that never gets old.

Why do people always use feta cheese? Is it really that good? 🤨 2 stars.

Feta adds a tangy flavor that really brings the dish alive! You should try it once before knocking it! 😄

Just made it, super yum! Olive oil is the key here! Plus that feta!

Pretty solid recipe. My only change was grilling the onions for a minute so they weren’t so raw. Other than that, followed it mostly and it tasted great.

I’m not a fan of Greek seasoning. Could I use BBQ sauce instead?

Too much hummus for my taste! It overwhelmed the other flavors.

  7. 3 stars
I didn’t have chicken, I used tofu instead, still worked. I guess it’s okay?

I totally get you! I almost forgot about my chicken once and it turned out a little burnt. But yeah, it was still good haha!

    2. 3 stars
8 minutes? Nah, mine took like 15 mins. Did you check if your grill was really hot? That might be the problem.

Hummus and chicken? Dunno if that combo works, but gave it a shot… meh.

I think the recipe’s too complicated. I just wanna grill chicken, not do all this.

  14. 5 stars
Super quick and easy meal! I love how fresh everything tastes. Definitely making it again. 5!

Looks good but isn’t it a bit dry? How do you ensure the chicken stays moist? 🤔

    2. 5 stars
I totally agree! This recipe is a game changer! The flavors are just amazing. 😊

I dunno, I think it needed something more. Maybe a sauce? It felt a bit dry. 3/5.

Made these last night—so good! The Greek seasoning + olive oil combo grilled up perfectly, and the hummus made it way more filling than my usual wraps.

I don’t like olives, can I skip them? Will it ruin the dish?

  21. 2 stars
Is 6-8 mins really enough? I left it on longer and it turned out tough.

    1. 3 stars
Just puttin chicken in longer doesn’t always make it better! You gotta watch it, or it gets all dried out. 6-8 mins is what they say.

    2. User avatar takisha.heaney97 says:

      4 stars
I don’t know, maybe your grill was too hot? 6-8 minutes should be enough if it’s medium-high. You could try using a meat thermometer next time.

  22. 1 star
What even is Greek seasoning? I used taco seasoning instead and it was terrible. I need a do-over! 1 star.

  23. 2 stars
I found it a little salty with feta + olives + Greek seasoning all at once. Next time I’ll cut back the olives or use less feta. Still edible though.

    1. User avatar Ms. Shelby Keeling says:

      5 stars
I totally get that—feta + olives already bring a lot of salt. Next time try rinsing the olives (or using them half as much) like you said. Also maybe use a lighter feta or skip Greek seasoning on the chicken and just season with salt/pepper separately.

Could’ve used more seasoning, it was kinda bland. Also, is cucumber necessary?

    1. User avatar alfredo.willms34 says:

      4 stars
I totally get what you mean! I added more spices when I made it and it was way better. Cucumber is optional but I like it for crunch.

    2. User avatar sidney.denesik1965 says:

      2 stars
More seasoning? Nah, it tasted fine to me. And why are you questioning the cucumber? It’s a classic combo!

  28. 5 stars
I made it for a picnic and everyone loved it! Perfect for summer!

    1. 2 stars
But isn’t grilled chicken wraps kinda basic? I mean, everybody does that for picnics.

I tried it but I used ranch seasoning instead, didn’t taste good at all. Stick to Greek seasoning people!

    1. User avatar deon.mertz2021 says:

      4 stars
Ranch seasoning? Really? That’s not even close! Stick with the recipe for best results! 😅

  30. 4 stars
I don’t like olives, so I left them out. The wraps still turned out great! But is it still Greek without olives?
