Cloud Eggs are as whimsical as their name suggests, turning the humble egg into something that looks like it belongs on a brunch menu at a chic café. Light, airy egg whites cradle rich, golden yolks, creating a dish that is as visually impressive as it is satisfying to eat. The beauty of this recipe is that it only takes a few ingredients and a little whisking to make something that feels special.
The process begins by separating the yolks from the whites. The yolks are set aside while the whites are beaten until stiff peaks form. This aeration is what gives Cloud Eggs their signature fluffiness. A pinch of salt enhances the flavor, and for extra flair, you can fold in finely chopped herbs, shredded cheese, or even crispy bacon bits.
Once the whites are whipped, they are spooned into little mounds on a parchment lined baking sheet. Each mound gets a small indentation in the center to hold the yolk later. The egg whites are baked on their own first, just enough to set them and give them a light golden color. This pre baking step ensures that the texture stays airy while still holding its shape.
After a few minutes in the oven, the yolks are gently placed in the center of each fluffy nest. A quick return to the oven cooks the yolks to your desired doneness. Some prefer them slightly runny for a rich and velvety contrast to the airy whites, while others like them more set for easy slicing.
Cloud Eggs are incredibly versatile. They can be served simply with a sprinkle of chives and cracked pepper, or paired with toast, avocado, or smoked salmon for a more filling breakfast. They also make an elegant addition to brunch platters, impressing guests without requiring hours in the kitchen.
Not only are Cloud Eggs delicious, they are also naturally low in carbs and high in protein, making them a great option for those following a lighter or more balanced diet. The combination of airy texture and vibrant presentation makes them a joy to serve and eat.
Sometimes, the simplest ingredients yield the most delightful surprises, and Cloud Eggs are proof of that.

Can I use cheese other than Parmesan? Don’t have that in the fridge!
I added some spices and they turned out so delicious! Highly recommend.
I don’t get the hype. It’s just eggs baked differently. Whatever.
It might just be eggs, but the texture is totally different! Give it another shot!
I thought it was amazing! You really gotta try it with the Parmesan. Adds a nice touch! 😋
I love them! Perfect for my Instagram. However, my husband thought they were weird.
I think they look amazing! Your husband just doesn’t know what’s good! 😂
Cloud eggs? More like egg fluffs. lol. They look so cool tho!
I dunno, they look kinda complicated. So we just whip egg whites? Sounds like a mess waiting to happen…
Haha, right? They do look fluffy! Can’t wait to try making them myself. 🥚✨
Not impressed. Just feels like scrambled eggs with a fancy name. Waste of time.
Yum! I paired it with avocado toast and it was a brunch hit!
That sounds amazing! I love avocado toast, and pairing it with cloud eggs seems like a perfect combo. Will definitely try this!
I don’t know, cloud eggs seem a bit too fancy for me. Can’t we just scramble the eggs instead?
I tried this, but my egg whites didn’t fluff up at all. What did I do wrong?
These cloud eggs are amazing! So fluffy and light! Definitely a keeper!
Delicious!!! I added some herbs and it was yummyy!!
I tried this and my egg whites just went flat. Not sure what I did wrong. Maybe my eggs were old?
Who knew eggs could look like clouds? Super fun to make, but I think I overcooked mine a little.
Its just eggs, no big deal. I thought it was a waste of time.
Cloud eggs? Sounds kinda silly if u ask me, but okay, worth a shot I guess.
I thought the same at first! But they taste really good and look so fluffy! Give it a try!
Cloud eggs? Sounds weird. Bet you this is just a hype. I’m sticking to my regular scrambled eggs!
My mom made cloud eggs once when I was a kid. She called them angel eggs. Good memories!
Yolk was too runny for my liking. Not a fan of this recipe. 😕
I get that! Not everyone loves runny yolks. Maybe try hard boiling them next time? 😊
These cloud eggs are so fluffy! I added some herbs and it tasted amazing!
Sounds delicious! What herbs did you use?
I didn’t have Parmesan, but it still turned out okay. A bit bland though.
Easy to follow! But can someone tell me why they call it cloud eggs?
They say cloud eggs because the whipped whites look fluffy like clouds! ☁️
This was great! So fluffy. My kids loved it!
This recipe is fantastic! Never thought cloud eggs could be so fluffy! Will make again!
I didn’t have parmesan so I skipped it. Still tasted good! But adulting is hard 😅
Honestly, I think this is too complicated. Just scramble the eggs, right?
Nah, it’s not that complicated! Just follow the steps, it’s fun. Plus, they taste amazing! 😋
I totally get you! Scrambled eggs are way easier. But cloud eggs look so fancy! 🤷♂️
Just 1/4 teaspoon of salt? Feels like not enough, but it was fine!
Cloud eggs? More like egg clouds! 😄 This was a fun breakfast.
I love cloud eggs! They are so fluffy and cute! 😍
Yummm! 😋 My kids loved these! They look so cute!
I tried making these but ended up with a mess. The whites didn’t fluff up like yours. Any tips?
Don’t worry! It happens to the best of us. Make sure your bowl is super clean and dry. Any oil or moisture can prevent the whites from fluffing up. Good luck next time!
Not bad, but I’d recommend cooking the yolks longer. They were too runny for me.
