Avocado Deviled Eggs

April 9, 2025

Avocado Deviled Eggs are a delicious and healthy twist on the classic recipe, using creamy avocado for added flavor and nutrition.

Avocado deviled eggs bring a creamy and flavorful twist to the traditional deviled egg recipe, making them the perfect addition to any brunch, picnic, or holiday gathering. With their smooth, rich avocado filling and classic seasonings, these deviled eggs are sure to become a crowd favorite. Not only do they offer a new take on an old classic, but they also add a vibrant green color that makes them stand out on any platter.

The base is simple: hard-boiled eggs that are carefully peeled and halved. The yolks are scooped out and mixed with creamy, ripe avocado, which gives the filling a smooth, luscious texture. A dash of lime or lemon juice adds a bright, citrusy note that complements the richness of the avocado, while Dijon mustard and a touch of garlic bring extra depth and flavor. Seasoned with salt and pepper, this filling is both creamy and savory with a hint of tang.

For a more customized taste, you can add other ingredients like chopped cilantro, green onions, or a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little kick. Once the filling is prepared, it’s spooned or piped back into the egg whites, creating a neat and elegant presentation. You can garnish your avocado deviled eggs with extra cilantro, a sprinkle of paprika, or even some crumbled bacon for added flavor and texture.

These eggs are not only delicious but also offer a healthier alternative to traditional deviled eggs, thanks to the nutritious avocado. They’re perfect for any occasion, from casual gatherings to special holiday meals like Easter. The creamy avocado filling makes each bite indulgent yet light, offering a fresh and vibrant twist on a beloved appetizer.

Eggs r good, avocatos r good, but together? Not my fav combo. Rating based on taste, not ease. 2 stars.

Avocados are so overrated. I’d rather just eat the eggs plain.
