A delicious and creamy turkey and broccoli bake made with coconut milk.
If you’re in the mood for a comforting yet healthy dinner, this turkey and broccoli bake with coconut milk is the perfect solution. Packed with lean turkey, vibrant broccoli, and a creamy coconut milk sauce, it’s a dish that’s satisfying, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to make.
The base of this recipe is lean ground turkey, which is sautéed with garlic, onions, and a few spices for added flavor. Turkey is an excellent source of protein and is a perfect choice for a lighter, healthier meal. Once browned, the turkey is mixed with blanched broccoli, which adds color, texture, and a nutritional boost. Broccoli is high in fiber and packed with vitamins, making this bake a wholesome choice for a family meal.
The magic happens when you combine the turkey and broccoli with coconut milk. The coconut milk adds a rich, creamy texture without the need for heavy cream, making the dish both dairy-free and deliciously velvety. A little chicken broth, along with seasonings like salt, pepper, and thyme, helps to elevate the flavors. You can even add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick if you like things spicy.
To bring it all together, pour the turkey, broccoli, and coconut milk mixture into a baking dish, top it with some shredded cheese (optional for a richer taste), and bake until the top is golden and bubbly. The result is a perfectly balanced, comforting casserole that’s ideal for a cozy dinner.
This turkey and broccoli bake is versatile too, you can swap in other veggies like cauliflower or spinach, or add extra spices like curry powder for a flavor twist. It’s also a great make-ahead meal that stores well in the fridge for a few days or freezes for future dinners.
Rich, creamy, and full of flavor, this turkey and broccoli bake with coconut milk is the kind of dish that turns simple ingredients into something truly satisfying.

I wasn’t sure about coconut milk with turkey, but it surprisingly worked! Nice flavor!
Could’ve been better. Maybe add more spices? Just tasted bland to me.
Yummy! My kids loved it, even the broccoli! I added some cheese on top.
OMG this is life-changing! I’m eating healthy and it tastes like a treat!
Disappointed… mine came out watery. Did I use too much milk? Not sure, but I’ll stick with regular bakes.
Maybe you did use too much milk, but don’t give up! Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right. I love this recipe!
Coconut milk? Kinda weird. But the bake turned out alright, I guess.
I don’t really like curry, but this wasn’t bad. Might try it again with less curry?
I followed the recipe but added more spices. It turned out too spicy for my taste. Not a fan of the flavor combo. ⭐⭐⭐
Adding more spices is always a gamble! Sorry it didn’t work out for you. Maybe try less next time? 🤷♂️
Not sure about the baking step—why not just simmer it? I tried it once and the turkey dried out slightly. Maybe overbaked on my end.
Made this last night, my kids loved it! Next time I think I will add some cheese on top for more flavor.
Nice recipe! But I used chicken instead of turkey because that’s what I had. Still great!
Loved it! Very easy to make and healthy too. Drip some hot sauce on top for an extra kick! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sounds delicious! I’m not a huge fan of turkey, but I might try this with chicken instead. 🐔
I left out the broccoli because I hate it. Still turned out pretty good. Can I use chicken instead?
I tried this but it turned out too bland. I think it needs more spices or something. Disappointed.
This turned out amazing! My kids loved it! Definitely making it again.
Yum! Quick and easy to make. Perfect for busy weeknights.
Thanks! I love quick recipes like this, especially with turkey. Gonna try it!
Sounds good, but coconut milk? Does that taste ok with turkey? I dunno….
Taste was ok I guess, but it needed more spice. Next time im adding chili! Overall decent dish.
Kid-approved! Even my picky eater went back for seconds. I served it with rice and the sauce soaked in so nicely.
Followed the steps pretty much exactly, but mine came out a bit watery after the second bake. Still tasty though—next time I’ll cook off a little liquid before transferring to the dish.
Glad it was still tasty! Watery batches usually mean the turkey released extra liquid or the broccoli held onto water. Next time, try sautéing the turkey longer before the coconut milk goes in, and/or simmer uncovered for a few minutes after baking step 6 to reduce. Also make sure the broccoli isn’t super wet—pat dry if needed.
Idk, 20 + 10 mins seems too short for me. Mine always comes out watery unless I bake it like 30–40 mins. Maybe your oven runs cooler? Or you used low-fat coconut milk? I’d just cook it longer or drain the broccoli a bit first.
Uhh, isn’t coconut milk supposed to be sweet? That was kinda weird. But the turkey was good. ⭐⭐
