Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin sliced
  • 1 lb green beans trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces, fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced pork and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the green beans and cook for 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  • Return the cooked pork to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve the pork and green bean sauté hot and enjoy!

Nah, didn’t really like it. Felt like it needed more spices or something. Too plain.

I thought the same! I added some chili flakes and it made a big difference. Maybe try that next time!

I tried it but I think I used too much soy sauce. Ended up too salty for my taste.

I always find that soy sauce can be tricky. Maybe try less next time, or dilute it with a bit of water!

Wasn’t impressed. The sauce didn’t taste right to me. Maybe my soy sauce was old?

I dunno, the recipe seems simple enough. Might be a cooking issue, not the ingredients?

Why do you have to add cornstarch? Idk I just skip that step.

I don’t like green beans but tried it anyway. It was okay, but I think broccoli would be better!

Umm… what’s the point of using oyster sauce? Is it even necessary?

Oyster sauce adds a really unique flavor to dishes! It balances sweetness and saltiness, which is great for a stir-fry like this. You should definitely give it a try!

I don’t see the need for oyster sauce. Can’t you just use more soy sauce instead? Seems a bit extra to me.
