Mango and Yogurt Parfait

March 25, 2026

The Mango and Yogurt Parfait is a simple yet elegant dessert that brings together the creamy richness of yogurt with the tropical sweetness of ripe mangoes. Layered beautifully in a glass, this parfait is not only a treat for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. It’s the kind of dish that works just as well for breakfast or brunch as it does for a light dessert after dinner.

At the heart of this parfait is the mango, juicy, vibrant, and naturally sweet. When diced or blended into a smooth purée, it becomes the perfect contrast to the tangy creaminess of yogurt. If you’re using in-season, ripe mangoes, their natural flavor shines through, offering a burst of sunshine in every bite.

The yogurt layer can be tailored to your liking. Greek yogurt adds a thick, protein-rich base with a slight tang that pairs beautifully with the fruit. For a touch of sweetness, you can mix in a bit of honey or vanilla extract. The balance between sweet and tart creates a refreshing flavor that doesn’t feel heavy, even after a full meal.

To elevate the texture, many versions of this parfait include a layer of granola, crushed nuts, or even toasted coconut. These crunchy additions bring in a satisfying contrast to the creamy and juicy layers. Pistachios or almonds pair especially well with mango and add a touch of richness and bite.

What makes this dish so appealing is its versatility. You can prepare it in advance for a grab-and-go breakfast or serve it in small glasses for a dinner party dessert. It’s also easy to customize, add berries, chia seeds, or a drizzle of lime juice for a twist on the classic version.

Mango and Yogurt Parfait is light, nutritious, and naturally flavorful. With its blend of creamy Greek yogurt, sweet mango, and crunchy toppings, it’s a perfectly balanced treat that satisfies without overindulgence. Whether you’re looking for a healthy snack or a visually stunning dessert, this parfait delivers with ease.

I’m skeptical about using Greek yogurt. Isn’t it too tart? Maybe I’ll stick to regular yogurt next time.

    1. User avatar celsa.schoen says:

      2 stars
Nah, regular yogurt is fine too. I don’t see the fuss about Greek yogurt. It’s just yogurt that’s a bit thicker, right? Just use what you like!

    2. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

      4 stars
I understand your concern! Greek yogurt does have a distinct tartness, but it pairs really well with the sweetness of mango and honey. You should give it a try, you might be surprised!

  2. 5 stars
I just put it all in a bowl and mixed it up instead of layering. Still good!

  3. User avatar King Vegeta says:

    4 stars
Great recipe! But what’s Greek yogurt? Is it different from regular yogurt?

  4. User avatar judith.wuckert40 says:

    4 stars
This is just like a parfait I had in a fancy restaurant! I love how easy it is to make. Not sure why it says to serve immediately, it’s still good later.

  5. User avatar cheree.collins1983 says:

    3 stars
Too much yogurt! It overwhelmed the flavors. Next time I’ll cut it in half.

    1. User avatar carrol.crooks5 says:

      4 stars
I agree! The yogurt can be really thick, maybe try blending it with a bit of mango next time?

  6. 5 stars
    Best ever. Must try!!!

  7. 4 stars
Yum! But next time I’ll use more honey, it needed a bit more sweetness for me.

    1. User avatar frederick.stiedemann28 says:

      4 stars
I agree! A bit more honey would make it perfect. I added some maple syrup to mine too.

  8. 4 stars
Is Greek yogurt really necessary? I prefer regular yogurt. Can I use that? 🤔

    1. User avatar josue.rippin16 says:

      4 stars
You can totally use regular yogurt! Just be mindful that the texture and flavor might be a bit different, but it should still taste yummy! 😊

    2. User avatar quincy.sawayn30 says:

      3 stars
Nah, Greek yogurt is thicker and has more protein. Regular yogurt can work but won’t be the same, you know? 🤷‍♂️

  9. User avatar claudine.schimmel says:

    2 stars
Did it exactly as you said but it just tasted like yogurt. Wasted my mangoes 😡

  10. User avatar antonietta.daugherty2013 says:

I didn’t have granola, so I used cereal. Still worked!

Why would u add honey? Isn’t mango sweet enough? 🤔

  17. User avatar jacques.stoltenberg says:

Gotta say, I always thought parfaits were just fancy yogurt. But this one is easy and super tasty! Love it!

  18. User avatar suspiciousCommentator says:

I tried this with strawberries instead of mango. It was okay, but mango sounds better!

  19. User avatar norberto.altenwerth says:

I didn’t have granola, so I used crushed cookies. It still tasted good, but the texture was off. Maybe I’ll try it with granola next time.

    1. 2 stars
Cookies? Really? I don’t think that would taste good at all. Granola is way better.

    2. User avatar charis.ernser says:

      4 stars
Using crushed cookies sounds like a fun twist! I bet it added a nice sweetness.

  20. User avatar Duncan Idaho says:

Granola is overrated. Just use oats, saves money lol.

    1. User avatar justa.kuhic60 says:

But granola adds a nice crunch! Can’t just have oats all the time.

Strawberries? I dunno if that fits the recipe… mango is already sweet enough!

  25. User avatar marlin.jacobi23 says:

Is Greek yogurt really good for you? I heard it has too much sugar. 🍭

  26. User avatar dorian.bins51 says:

    3 stars
I tried this but it didn’t turn out, my mangoes were bad. Maybe fresh fruit is key?

  27. 3 stars
I don’t like mangos, can I use strawberries instead? 🤔

  28. 5 stars
Delicious!!! I used coconut yogurt and wow!

  29. User avatar Draugr Thrall says:

    3 stars
I don’t get the hype around Greek yogurt. Why not use regular yogurt? Anyway, it looked pretty.

  30. 2 stars
Dunno about this… didn’t turn out well for me. What went wrong? 😕

This looks so yummy! I can’t wait to try it. 🍑

parfay? what is that? I just like fruit and yogurt. This is easy tho

    1. 5 stars
Parfait is just a fancy name for a layered dessert! It’s basically fruit and yogurt, like you said. You’re gonna love it!

    2. User avatar scott.harris2000 says:

      2 stars
I dunno, it sounds kinda complicated just for fruit and yogurt… how is it a recipe?!

  34. 4 stars
Very easy to make. My kids loved it but my husband wanted chocolate instead. Lol!

  35. User avatar moses.bruen says:

    2 stars
I tried this but my mangoes were not ripe enough and it was a bit sour. Next time I’ll wait until they’re soft. 🙁

  36. User avatar arlie.hickle19 says:

    5 stars
This parfait is absolutly delicious! The mangoes are so sweet and the yogurt is creamy. Definitely a winning combo!

Yogurt and mango? Sounds like a weird combo. Not sure I’d try it.

  38. User avatar enrique.bartoletti81 says:

    2 stars
Too sweet for my taste. I think maybe less honey next time.

    1. 3 stars
Less honey? Nah, honey make it better! Just add more mango, it balance out sweetness!

    2. User avatar rachal.towne92 says:

      4 stars
I get what you mean! Honey can be really sweet sometimes. Maybe you could try using yogurt with less sugar too!

  39. User avatar Michael83 says:

Mango and yogurt? Together? Genius! I’m trying this tonight!

    1. User avatar dorris.franecki93 says:

      3 stars
I dunno, mango and yogurt sound kinda weird together. But maybe I’ll give it a shot.

    2. User avatar ronald.orn80 says:

      5 stars
I made this last week, and it was delicious! You won’t regret it.

  45. 1 star
Ugh, why bother? The yogurt tastes weird to me. Pass.

    1. 4 stars
I get what you’re saying, but yogurt can be really good if you find the right kind! Maybe try a different brand or flavor? 🤔

    2. User avatar ron.monahan88 says:

      5 stars
Weird? Nah, yogurt’s awesome! Just need the right fruits to balance it out. Give it another go! 😋

  46. User avatar Deep Thought says:

    5 stars
This recipe is AMAZING! The mango and yogurt combo is perfect. I added a little cinnamon, too! 🍯

  47. User avatar Oolon Colluphid says:

    2 stars
Why would you put nuts in yogurt? Sounds weird to me. 😒

  48. User avatar bong.mccullough81 says:

    4 stars
Greek yogurt + honey + granola? Sounds like every “healthy” thing I’ve ever seen. But honestly… it works. Tastes like dessert without the guilt.

    1. User avatar tissues_with_issues says:

      5 stars
Totally get what you mean—my “healthy desserts” always sound boring, but this one’s actually legit. Mango + Greek yogurt is such a good combo, and the honey/granola makes it feel like a treat.

  49. User avatar denisse.bogan says:

    5 stars
This parfait was delicious! The honey really brings out the mango flavor. Can’t wait to make it again!

    1. User avatar maybelle.nader says:

      5 stars
I totally agree! The honey is a game-changer! I also added a few berries on top. Yum!

  50. User avatar shelby.runolfsson12 says:

    2 stars
Wait, is it 1/4 cup nuts or 1/4 cup honey? My brain got mixed up reading the ingredients lol. Either way, sounds tasty—I’ll follow it as best I can.

    1. 4 stars
Lol I also misread it the first time 😅 I put 1/4 cup honey in and used the 1/4 cup nuts like it says. It turned out really sweet though—might’ve been too much honey for my taste.

    2. 5 stars
Definitely 1/4 cup honey (for the drizzle step) and 1/4 cup nuts for the topping. The honey amount in the ingredient list is right—step 3 just uses about 1 tsp per layer.

  51. User avatar shanda.lubowitz55 says:

    3 stars
I don’t like Greek yogurt, does it taste the same with regular yogurt? Asking for a friend.

    1. User avatar guy.gorczany78 says:

      4 stars
It’s a bit different, but you might still like it! Greek yogurt is thicker and tangier. Your friend should give it a try!

    2. User avatar ALTplusF4 says:

      3 stars
I heard regular yogurt is sweeter! Might be better for your friend, but good luck convincing them!

  52. User avatar raylene.brown says:

    4 stars
I wasn’t sure about the nuts, but they added a nice crunch. Overall, a good recipe!

  53. User avatar Dr. Guadalupe Bednar says:

    2 stars
Granola on top gets soggy if you wait too long. Serve right away like the recipe says—otherwise it’s meh.

  54. User avatar emmanuel.bednar22 says:

    3 stars
Not sure about the honey amount… I might be missing something because it turned out very sweet on my end.

  55. User avatar jae.crist says:

    3 stars
I tried it with frozen mango and it was still good, but it got watery. Just drain the mango or thaw properly and you’re good.

    1. 3 stars
Mine stayed kinda watery even though I thawed it lol. Maybe I used too much mango juice. Would it work better if you swap frozen mango for dried mango? Or add more yogurt?

    2. User avatar Bowerick Wowbagger says:

      5 stars
Oh good to know! I used frozen mango once and it did turn watery for me too—draining and thawing first sounds like the fix. I’ll try letting it sit in a sieve next time.

  56. User avatar Super Saiyan 2 Gohan says:

    4 stars
Pretty good, but I think 2 cups yogurt might be a lot depending on your parfait cups. I ran out of mango before the layers looked nice—still tasted great though.

  57. User avatar jude.tromp48 says:

    4 stars
Honestly, yogurt parfaits are always good. This one is simple and looks pretty. I’m gonna try it with coconut granola tho 😅

  58. User avatar shavonda.skiles28 says:

    5 stars
Yum! This is my new favorite snack! Perfect for summer.

  59. User avatar Krystle Langworth says:

    2 stars
I don’t get why honey is only 1/4 cup but you drizzle “1 teaspoon” each layer? Like… how many layers are we doing? I eyeballed it and it came out okay.

  60. User avatar michal.okuneva91 says:

    5 stars
This is a quick and easy recipe for breakfast! Love it!

  61. User avatar Eddie the Computer says:

    1 star
How can it be a parfait without whipped cream?! I don’t get it.

  62. User avatar sau.kunze says:

    5 stars
    Yum!

  63. User avatar laurena.quitzon says:

    4 stars
I made something similar but with way less honey. Still tastes great—granola adds the perfect crunch. Might add a pinch of cinnamon next time.

  64. User avatar wellRespected says:

    2 stars
This is just yogurt and fruit, not a recipe. 😒 I can’t believe people need instructions for this.

    1. 4 stars
I get what you’re saying, but some people might not know how to layer ingredients or make it look pretty. 😅

  65. User avatar mireya.jacobson1991 says:

    2 stars
Not gonna lie, parfaits are overhyped. Yogurt + fruit is fine, but I don’t get why people act like it’s fancy.

  66. 5 stars
This looks refreshing and super easy. The mango + Greek yogurt combo is my weakness—love that it’s sweetened with honey instead of sugar.

  67. User avatar eldridge.weber82 says:

    4 stars
Pretty tasty, but I found 1/4 cup nuts was a bit much for me. Next time I’ll do half and keep the granola.

  68. User avatar junita.shields34 says:

    4 stars
I tried this but used strawberries instead of mango. Still turned out great! 👍

  69. User avatar joe_banana says:

    5 stars
This is such a refreshing breakfast idea—love the mango + Greek yogurt combo. The honey drizzle sounds perfect, and the granola/nuts make it feel a little fancy.

  70. User avatar deloras.gulgowski25 says:

    3 stars
Mango? In yogurt? Nah, I prefer strawberry. But looks good for people who like it.

  71. User avatar Kendall Hoppe II says:

    2 stars
Good, but I think I did it wrong. The yogurt is too runny. What did I do? 😕

    1. 4 stars
Sounds like you might have used regular yogurt instead of Greek yogurt. That could make it runnier! 😊

  72. 3 stars
I don’t know about the honey part, feels too sweet. Could just use sugar or something. 🤷‍♂️

  73. User avatar wellRespected says:

    5 stars
Yum! Just made it and video proof is on my social media! So quick and easy, love it! 🥳

  74. User avatar gavin.denesik says:

    3 stars
The portions feel a bit off to me though. 2 mangoes for 2 cups yogurt—sounds good, but I think the honey might be too sweet unless you like desserts.

  75. User avatar roseanna.corwin1988 says:

    3 stars
I made this for breakfast and it was so quick! But what’s with all the honey? It’s too sweet for me.

  76. User avatar Deep Thought says:

    5 stars
This was so fresh and sweet—mango + yogurt is such a good combo. I used a little less honey and it still tasted amazing. Will make again for sure!

  77. 4 stars
I made something similar but I used regular yogurt. Your Greek yogurt suggestion makes it way thicker—I’d try it exactly as written.

  78. User avatar Dustin Schoen says:

    1 star
1 mango? nahhh that’s not enough. Also yogurt measurements seem off. I think I got a bad ratio.

    1. User avatar kisha.vonrueden says:

      4 stars
Lol I get you—1 mango would feel tiny. But the recipe calls for 2 mangos (maybe your slice count was off?). I’d add extra if you like it fruitier!

    2. User avatar ailene.kling says:

      3 stars
Wait… it’s written as 2 cups Greek yogurt and 2 mangos. If your ratio feels off, did you maybe use a smaller cup size or only half the yogurt? I’ve made it before and it tasted right to me.

  79. 2 stars
It was okay, but mine turned out a bit watery. Any tips on how to make it thicker?

  80. User avatar Effrafax of Wug says:

    4 stars
I’m allergic to nuts so I left that out and it was still good. Wish I could try with! 😢

    1. User avatar johanna.parker2000 says:

      5 stars
I’m glad you still enjoyed it! Maybe you could try other toppings like seeds or coconut flakes for added crunch! 😊

  81. User avatar Feyd-Rautha Rabban says:

    4 stars
I used vanilla yogurt cause I couldn’t find Greek yogurt.. turned out nice!

    1. 5 stars
Vanilla yogurt works great! Glad it turned out nice for you! 😊

    2. User avatar garry.von says:

      3 stars
Is vanilla yogurt really the same? I dunno, sounds kinda different…

  82. User avatar damon.olson50 says:

    5 stars
This recipe is amazing! The combination of mango and yogurt is so refreshing. Will definitely make it again!

  83. User avatar andre.damore says:

    3 stars
I tried adding blueberries instead of mango. Not as good, but still tasty.

  84. User avatar dong.lemke32 says:

    4 stars
The layering instructions are clear, and I appreciate ending with yogurt. I wish the honey measurement was a little more specific—1/4 cup total is a lot.

    1. 3 stars
But the honey is only like 1 teaspoon each round, right? I feel like 1/4 cup total is fine if you’re doing multiple layers. Either way, it’s dessert so more honey ain’t bad 😅

    2. User avatar rosina.sipes says:

      4 stars
Totally agree on the honey—1/4 cup sounds like it could overpower the mango. I usually drizzle just a little, then taste and add more if needed.

  85. User avatar emanuel.welch62 says:

    3 stars
Meh, it was okay. I thought it would be sweeter. Maybe more honey next time?

  86. User avatar Random Dent says:

    4 stars
Granola on top is nice, but I hate when it gets soggy. I’d add it right before eating instead of “serve immediately” like that.

    1. User avatar Frost Giant says:

      3 stars
Hmm I see what you mean, but I kinda like it a little soggy? Like it gets more like a yogurt crumble. If you do it right after layering tho, maybe it won’t be too bad. Also “serve immediately” is already what I do lol.

    2. User avatar judie.pouros says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—granola can go soft fast once it’s sitting with the yogurt. I usually keep the granola separate and sprinkle it right before I eat. “Serve immediately” is nice for photos but not always realistic for breakfast on busy mornings 😅

  87. User avatar Lumberjack says:

    4 stars
yum 😍 can we use other fruits? I got blueberries and they are ripe!

    1. 5 stars
Sure! Blueberries will work great instead of mango! Just layer them the same way. Enjoy!

  88. User avatar w00d_ch0p says:

    4 stars
I made this for meal prep and it disappeared fast. I didn’t even wait to “serve immediately”—still turned out great, just a little less crunchy on top.

    1. 5 stars
That’s awesome—meal prep + it disappearing fast is the best compliment 😄 I’m glad it still tasted great even with less crunchy topping. I’ve noticed granola softens quicker if it sits too long, so your “still turned out great” tip is super helpful!

  89. 5 stars
Wow, this looks like a perfect sweet breakfast. The honey + mango combo is such a vibe, and the granola crunch will be great.

  90. User avatar owen.green6 says:

Nuts are optional, right? I have a nut allergy so I’d swap for seeds or just more granola.

5 stars. I’m not even a yogurt person but the mango makes it so good. Also the crunch from the nuts is everything.

Pretty easy—my kind of recipe. I used honey roasted nuts and it tasted like a dessert. Totally works even when you’re tired.

Yes! Honey roasted nuts would make this taste even more like a treat. I love that it still feels satisfying when you’re worn out—parfaits are my go-to too.

I didn’t have chopped nuts so I used almonds I toasted. Somehow it tasted even better? Also I accidentally added all the honey at once… still fine lol.

I thought 2 cups Greek yogurt would be too much but it’s not. However, my honey kinda sank into the mango and granola got soft fast if I waited. Serve immediately like it says!

    1. User avatar raelene.gutkowski says:

Totally agree—2 cups yogurt sounds like a lot until you actually make it. The texture is way better. Serving immediately is key so the granola stays crunchy.

  95. 5 stars
I followed it exactly and it came out really creamy. The granola/nuts on top gave it that perfect crunch. 10/10 breakfast vibes.

This looks so refreshing! The mango with Greek yogurt is a great combo, and the honey drizzle sounds perfect. I might add a little cinnamon too.

    1. 5 stars
I totally agree—this is such a refreshing combo. Cinnamon sounds like a great idea too!

  97. User avatar jame.borer says:

Not bad, but granola gets soggy fast if you don’t eat right away. Next time I’ll toast the granola or add it right before serving.

I dunno, parfaits are kinda overrated. Like it’s just yogurt with toppings. But I guess the flavors do matter.

  99. User avatar ria.schoen74 says:

Looks pretty but too many steps for me. I kinda just threw everything in a bowl and called it a parfait 😅

This is such a refreshing combo—sweet mango with that tangy Greek yogurt is perfect. I added a little extra honey and it still tasted balanced. Super quick too!

    1. User avatar elna.lueilwitz83 says:

Agree! The mango + tangy yogurt combo is honestly perfect. I like that it’s not fussy and comes together fast.

“Serve immediately” is real though—granola gets soft fast. If you’re packing it to go, keep topping separate.

The ratios seem a bit off to me. 2 mango and 1/4 cup honey for me is too sweet. Unless your mango is tart, I’d cut the honey down.

  103. 3 stars
The instructions are super simple, but I wish it said how much granola/yogurt per layer—like exact number of layers. I kinda guessed and ended up with uneven stacks lol.

    1. User avatar ellsworth.wolff37 says:

      5 stars
Totally get that—“repeat the layers” is vague. If you want it even, I’d do the yogurt into equal portions based on how many layers you like (like 3–4), then split the mango the same way. Even stacks for the win 😄

    2. User avatar Eliseo Casper says:

      3 stars
I mean… it’s kinda parfait 101? 😅 Just eyeball it, right? But yeah I could see how uneven happens—granola gets crunchy and everything slides. Maybe next time use smaller layers or spoon it in slowly.

  104. User avatar liberal.hero says:

Okay but 2 cups yogurt + 1/4 cup honey feels a bit sweet for me. Next time I’d cut the honey in half or use less granola.

  105. 3 stars
Not gonna lie, I’m skeptical about honey drizzled twice—like won’t it get sticky? But I tried it and it wasn’t too bad.

    1. 3 stars
Wait… you drizzle twice? I think I would just do it once, because granola already gets soggy fast 😅 Also honey is sweet enough—more honey feels extra. But hey, if it wasn’t too bad, I’ll try it your way next time.

    2. User avatar kathey.dibbert57 says:

      4 stars
I get the concern, but drizzling honey twice is totally fine—honey kind of soaks in a bit once it hits the mango/yogurt. I usually do it more lightly though, just to avoid that super sticky vibe.

  106. User avatar silvia.littel19 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but it’s kinda heavy for me. I might swap the honey for maple or use less granola. Still tasty though.

  107. 5 stars
I love that it’s layered—feels fancy without effort. I added berries once and it was even better. The nuts give a nice balance.

    1. 3 stars
Sounds good, but “serve immediately” is hard—if it sits the granola gets soggy, right? Also, I’m not sure the nuts need honey if they’re already sweet… maybe less honey next time.

    2. User avatar catina.price95 says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—layered parfaits look fancy but take minutes. The nuts really make it feel more substantial too. I’ve done this with mango every time 😄

  108. User avatar earnestine.hahn says:

The ratios seem a bit off to me? 1/4 cup nuts feels like a lot when mixed with granola. Next time I’ll cut the nuts in half.

  109. User avatar leoma.marvin says:

Ok wow. I used slightly less honey because I’m watching sugar, but it was still sweet and delicious. Great quick recipe.

  110. 4 stars
Flavor is great but my layers slid around a bit since the mango was pretty juicy. Next time I’ll drain the mango more before layering.

  111. User avatar erin.keeling97 says:

I made it but used agave instead of honey and it still slaps. Crunchy topping makes it feel fancy.

    1. 5 stars
Agave instead of honey works!? That’s awesome—good to know. And yeah the crunchy granola/nuts combo definitely makes it feel way more “fancy” than it is.

  112. 4 stars
My kid loved this. I swapped mango for peaches once and it worked. Definitely a versatile base recipe.

    1. User avatar adele.white says:

      5 stars
So glad your kid loved it! Peaches sound like a great swap—sounds way better than trying to use whatever fruit I have lol. I love that it’s a flexible base recipe too.

  113. User avatar Millicent Gutkowski says:

Easy and yummy 😋. Also the steps are clear, not confusing like some recipes. I will make it again for sure.

  114. 4 stars
I followed the instructions but my parfait looked kinda messy in the glass 😅 Still tasted great though. Maybe I should chill the yogurt first?

  115. User avatar Mariela Ziemann says:

Made it for breakfast and it was gone in like 10 minutes. Crunchy granola on top is the best part. 10/10 will repeat.

    1. 4 stars
I tried it but my parfait didn’t turn out as “crunchy” as I hoped—maybe I didn’t add the granola at the last second. Still tasty though!

    2. User avatar donte.kuhn45 says:

Yesss crunchy granola on top is everything 😍 Made this for breakfast too and it disappeared fast.

  116. 5 stars
This looks insanely fresh. Love the sweet-tart combo with mango + Greek yogurt—perfect for a quick breakfast.

    1. 5 stars
Seriously love this combo—mango + Greek yogurt is such a good sweet-tart breakfast. The honey drizzle and granola crunch on top sounds perfect!

  117. 5 stars
Honestly, this is so easy it feels like cheating lol. I’m adding cinnamon next time. 10/10 for minimal effort.

  118. 4 stars
Not gonna lie, I thought honey would overpower everything. Surprisingly it blended nicely with the mango. Nice recipe!
