Fried ice cream is a dessert made of a scoop of ice cream that is frozen hard and then coated with a crispy layer before frying.
Ingredients
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream Frozen hard
- 1 cup cornflakes Crushed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional
- 1 egg egg Beaten
- 1 cup vegetable oil For frying
Instructions
- Scoop a ball of ice cream and freeze it until very hard.
- Crush cornflakes and mix with cinnamon if using.
- Roll the ice cream scoop in the crushed cornflakes.
- Dip the coated ice cream in beaten egg, then roll it again in cornflakes to create a thick coating.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) in a deep saucepan.
- Quickly fry the coated ice cream for about 10-15 seconds until golden brown.
- Remove and serve immediately, optionally drizzled with chocolate syrup or honey.
