Chicken Parmesan is already a beloved classic, but adding burrata and fresh tomatoes takes this comfort dish to a whole new level. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor, this version balances the crispy, golden crust of chicken cutlets with the lush creaminess of burrata and the brightness of ripe tomatoes. It’s the kind of dish that feels both familiar and elevated, perfect for a weeknight indulgence or a dinner you want to impress with.
The foundation of the dish is the chicken itself. Thin cutlets are breaded with seasoned crumbs, then pan-fried or baked until they achieve a perfect crunch. Instead of topping them solely with mozzarella and marinara, this twist layers on fresh tomato slices and a ball of burrata that melts into the hot chicken, creating a velvety texture and rich flavor. The tomatoes bring a refreshing acidity that cuts through the richness, while the burrata adds a luxurious creaminess that feels indulgent yet balanced.
What makes this variation so appealing is its ability to combine comfort and sophistication. Traditional chicken Parm is hearty and filling, but the burrata and tomatoes introduce a lighter, fresher quality. A sprinkle of fresh basil, oregano, or parsley adds color and an herbal note that ties everything together beautifully.
This dish is versatile enough for different occasions. It can be served over spaghetti for a classic Italian-American presentation, paired with a simple arugula salad for something lighter, or enjoyed on its own with crusty bread to soak up every bit of sauce and melted cheese. No matter how it’s served, it delivers the satisfaction of a comfort food staple with a touch of elegance.
Chicken Parm with burrata and tomatoes is a reminder of how a small change in ingredients can completely transform a dish. It honors the flavors of the traditional version while adding a modern, gourmet twist. Rich yet refreshing, hearty yet refined, it’s a plate that brings joy to the table and leaves a lasting impression.

It looks pretty in the pics but my chicken turned out dry. I musta messed something up, idk!
it was okay but too many steps for a simple chicken dish! I don’t know why you gotta make it so complicated.
Yeah, I agree! Sometimes keeping it simple is best. But I guess some people like more steps for a fancier meal.
YUM! 😍 10/10 would recommend!
This was absolutely delicious! The burrata took it to another level. Will definitely make again!
My kids loved it, but I think I overcooked the chicken a bit. Still really good tho!
Who even eats burrata? Just use mozzarella! Great recipe otherwise.
Burrata is amazing! It adds a creaminess that mozzarella just can’t match. Give it a try!
Couldn’t find cherry tomatoes so I used regular ones. Still pretty good but not quite the same.
Chicken parm 101, loved it!
This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it myself!
