A delicious and hearty California-inspired turkey chili that’s packed with flavor and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey lean
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 oz, with juice
  • 2 cups kidney beans canned, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
  • Add ground turkey to the pot, cook until browned.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes (with juice), kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
