A delicious and healthy Greek-inspired recipe for baked sardines with fresh herbs and zesty lemon.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sardines cleaned and scaled, fresh
- 1 Lemon sliced
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp parsley chopped, fresh
- 1 tbsp dill chopped, fresh
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the sardines under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Place the sardines in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped dill, and dried oregano.
- Spoon the herb mixture over the sardines, making sure to coat them evenly.
