Apple Cider Punch

October 31, 2025

There’s no drink more perfect for autumn gatherings than a chilled glass of apple cider punch. This refreshing and flavorful beverage combines the crisp, sweet taste of apple cider with warm spices, creating the perfect balance of comfort and refreshment. Whether you’re hosting a cozy fall party or simply looking for a festive drink to enjoy with family, apple cider punch is the ideal choice.

The base of this punch is, of course, apple cider. Opt for a high-quality, unfiltered apple cider for the best flavor, as it adds depth and richness to the drink. The apple cider is paired with a variety of aromatic spices like cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. These spices bring warmth and depth, making this punch feel like a comforting hug in a glass.

To make the punch even more festive, add orange slices or zest to the mix for a bright, citrusy contrast. You can also include a splash of lemon juice to balance the sweetness. For a bit of sparkle, top the punch with ginger ale or club soda, giving it a light fizz and making it feel even more celebratory.

This apple cider punch can easily be made into a non-alcoholic or alcoholic drink, depending on your preference. For an adult version, consider adding a splash of rum, bourbon, or whiskey for a deeper, more complex flavor. Serve the punch in a large pitcher or punch bowl with plenty of ice, and garnish with extra cinnamon sticks or apple slices for a decorative touch.

Apple cider punch is the perfect drink to serve at autumn gatherings, Thanksgiving dinners, or Halloween parties. It’s easy to make, customizable to your taste, and a crowd-pleaser every time. Refreshing, warming, and full of seasonal flavors, this punch captures everything we love about fall in one sip.

Too sweet for my taste. I think it needs less apple cider and more lemon juice.

Really good but felt it could use a kick, like a splash of rum or something, ya know?

Really easy to make but was a bit boring, maybe add more spices?

This looks easy, but can you really call it a punch? It’s just juice mixed together…

  7. 4 stars
I skipped the orange and added cranberry juice instead. It was still good but deviated a lot from the recipe.

I don’t get how you serve it ‘chilled’ when some of the ingredients are already cold???

    1. User avatar mathWizard says:

      2 stars
But why would you chill something that’s already cold? That makes no sense 🤷‍♂️.

    2. User avatar Questular Rontok says:

      4 stars
I think they mean to chill it even more before serving! Like, let it sit in the fridge or something.

Cider punches are overrated. I like beer better.

Yummy, but I don’t understand why you need both ginger ale and sparkling water!! isn’t that the same thing?

  11. 4 stars
I was skeptical about the pineapple juice, but it surprisingly works! Kudos!

Eh, not my fav. I prefer my drinks without pineapple.

    1. 4 stars
I totally understand! Pineapple can be polarizing. But maybe you could try it without the pineapple next time? Just a thought!

For those that want a bit of an adult beverage, calvados would go great in this beverage.
