Easy Halloween Cookies

October 5, 2023

Halloween is the perfect excuse to get creative in the kitchen, and these easy Halloween cookies are a fun and festive treat for all ages. Whether you’re planning a spooky party or just want a sweet activity to do with the kids, these cookies come together quickly and don’t require complicated decorating skills.

Start with a basic sugar cookie dough or use store-bought for convenience. Roll out the dough and use Halloween-themed cookie cutters, like ghosts, bats, pumpkins, and cats. Once baked and cooled, the fun begins! Decorate your cookies with colorful icing, sprinkles, candy eyes, or melted chocolate. You don’t need to be a professional baker, just use your imagination.

For a quicker option, make spooky spider cookies using peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate truffle or mini peanut butter cup and piped-on chocolate legs. Or try monster eye cookies by adding candy eyeballs to chocolate chip cookie dough before baking.

These cookies are perfect for classroom parties, Halloween movie nights, or handing out to trick-or-treaters. They also make great DIY gifts, just package them in clear treat bags with a festive ribbon.

The best part? You can involve the whole family. Kids love cutting shapes and decorating, and it’s a great way to spend quality time together. You can even turn it into a mini competition for the best (or creepiest) design!

Whether you’re going for creepy or cute, these easy Halloween cookies are guaranteed to be a hit. No stress, no fancy equipment, just delicious, festive fun.

I think you missed a step or something. My cookies turned out great! Could it be your oven temp?
