Chocolate Chip Muffins are the perfect balance of sweet, soft, and fluffy, making them an ideal treat for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or even dessert. Packed with melty chocolate chips, these muffins are a comforting indulgence that’s easy to make and sure to please everyone.
To start, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and a touch of sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together wet ingredients, including eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. The melted butter adds richness and moisture, ensuring a tender muffin texture. Next, fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Gently stir in a generous handful of chocolate chips, making sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Scoop the batter into a muffin tin lined with paper cups, filling each cup about two-thirds full. For an extra touch, sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking to ensure each bite has a little extra chocolatey goodness. Bake the muffins at 350°F (175°C) for about 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, let the muffins cool for a few minutes before enjoying. The result is a batch of Chocolate Chip Muffins that are light, fluffy, and full of gooey, melted chocolate chips in every bite.
These muffins are perfect on their own or paired with a cup of coffee or milk. Whether you’re serving them for breakfast, as an afternoon snack, or as part of a brunch spread, Chocolate Chip Muffins are a delicious and comforting treat that will quickly become a family favorite!

I don’t trust recipes that use so much sugar. Why not just use bananas instead? Much healthier! 😒
Why is everyone so obsessed with choc chips?? I used raisins instead, way better!
These muffins are amazing! They turned out so fluffy and sweet! Definitely a keeper.
So easy to make! My kids helped and they loved eating them. Definitely going to try adding nuts next time.
That’s awesome! My kids love it when they can help in the kitchen too. Nuts sound like a tasty addition!
They were okay, but mine didn’t rise much. Maybe I messed up somewhere?
I don’t think it was you. I had the same issue! Maybe the baking powder was old or somethin’. Anyway, they still tasted good!
Don’t worry! Baking can be tricky sometimes. Did you make sure to measure everything correctly? That can really affect how they rise.
Not great. They were dry and tasteless. Might need more sugar or something.
Muffins! YUM! 🍫
Too sweet for my taste! I think I will cut down the sugar next time.
Yum yum!!! Best muffin recipe ever!!
Are you sure they’re the best? I tried similar ones and they turned out dry. 🤔
I totally agree! These muffins are a game-changer. Can’t stop eating them!
I don’t think milk is good for this recipe! I used yogurt instead, worked fine.
Easy to make, even I could do it! 😁
That’s awesome! I love how simple this is. Can’t wait to try it! 😍
I was skeptical at first, but these actually turned out great! Just remember not to overmix.
These muffins are fantastic! I made them for a brunch and everyone loved them.
Too sweet for my taste. I prefer less sugar in my muffins, just a thought.
meh… not impressed. I guess it’s hard to mess up muffins but also hard to be wowed.
I totally get what you mean! Muffins are usually so basic, but they can be a nice treat if done right. Maybe try adding some spices or nuts next time?
Nah, I think muffins can be great! Especially if you load them up with chocolate like this recipe. Can’t go wrong with that! 🍫
I followed the recipe but my muffins turned out flat. What did I do wrong?
Maybe your baking powder was old? That can make them flat. Make sure it’s fresh next time!
These don’t look like the picture… are mine supposed to be this small?
Good recipe but I think the measurements are off. I always double-check with other recipes.
Not bad, but kinda basic. I expected more flavor. Might try adding some cinnamon next time.
Muffins? I thought we were making pancakes. Oh well, still good I guess.
I don’t see how 1/2 cup of sugar can be enough for chocolate muffins? Mine turned out tasteless. 😕
These came out perfectly fluffy and the chocolate chips actually stayed gooey. I used mini chips and they were gone before they cooled 😅
I tried this once and mine were a bit dry. I think 400°F is too high? Maybe I should lower to 375 and bake longer. Also I used regular chips and they didn’t stay gooey like that.
Yes!! Mine come out fluffy too when I don’t overmix. And haha same—those mini chips always disappear before they cool 😄
Yum! Chocolate chip muffins are the best! I added nuts too, super good!
These muffins are amazing! I made them for my kids, and they devoured them in minutes. Definitely a keeper!
These muffins turned out amazing! Super fluffy and just the right amount of chocolate. My family devoured them in minutes!
Glad to hear! I love a good muffin. They sound delicious! Can’t wait to try this myself!
Tell me why my muffins didn’t cook in the middle? I followed the timer exactly! 🤔
Maybe your oven temperature is off? I used a thermometer once to check mine, and it was 25 degrees too hot! 😅
Chocolate chips, really? Could’ve used more flavor. I expected better.
What? More flavor? These muffins are perfect! Maybe you just don’t know good baked goods.
I loved the chocolate chips! Maybe try adding nuts or cinnamon for extra flavor next time?
Chocolate muffins, yes please! 😍
I can’t wait to try these! Chocolate muffins are my weakness! ❤️
Are they really that good? I tried a recipe once and they came out dry. Maybe I did something wrong. 🤔
Yum! I added some walnuts to the mix and it was a game changer! Will definitely use this recipe again.
These are the best muffins ever!!! My kids loved them and begged for more. Thanks for sharing!
