Chicken Salad Croquettes are a delightful twist on traditional chicken salad, offering a crispy golden crust with a creamy and savory filling. These croquettes are a perfect dish for any occasion, whether as a snack, appetizer, or light main course. They combine the tender, shredded chicken with rich, flavorful ingredients, creating a balance of textures that make each bite incredibly satisfying.
The base of Chicken Salad Croquettes starts with cooked chicken, typically leftover roast or rotisserie chicken, shredded into bite-sized pieces. This is then mixed with classic chicken salad ingredients like mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, finely chopped celery, onions, and seasonings such as salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. The result is a creamy, flavorful filling that’s easy to work with and full of savory goodness.
Once the filling is prepared, it is shaped into small patties or balls, then coated in breadcrumbs to create that signature crispy exterior. The croquettes are then fried until golden brown, giving them a satisfying crunch while keeping the inside soft and creamy. The crispy coating adds a wonderful contrast to the rich, smooth filling, making them irresistible.
Chicken Salad Croquettes are incredibly versatile and can be customized to suit your personal taste. You can add diced pickles for a tangy crunch, grated cheese for extra richness, or even a little hot sauce to add a spicy kick. The beauty of these croquettes lies in their ability to be adapted with various ingredients to create your perfect flavor combination.
These croquettes are not only a great way to use up leftover chicken, but they are also perfect for meal prepping. They can be made in advance and stored in the fridge or freezer, making them a convenient snack or light meal. Serve them with a side of fresh salad, dipping sauces like honey mustard or ranch, or even alongside roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
Whether served at a dinner party or as a family-friendly weeknight dish, Chicken Salad Croquettes offer a fun and tasty way to enjoy the classic flavors of chicken salad in a new, creative form. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, they’re sure to become a favorite for any gathering or occasion.

Will def be trying this! Sounds yummy! 🐔❤️
I was skeptical about using store-bought chicken, but wow! It actually turned out delicious! Great recipe.
Not bad, but I think there was too much mayonnaise. It was dripping everywhere! I might cut that down next time.
I have to try this!
These croquettes are super easy to make and taste great! I love the mix of flavors. Definitely making them again!
I tried this but used canned chicken instead, lol. Not the same, but edible. Next time I’ll follow the recipe better.
Y’all should really stop wasting time on this. Just buy a burger or somethin’. This is a scam.
These croquettes are amazing! So crispy and flavorful. My family loved them!
Yum! I didn’t have dill but added parsley and it was still delish! 💚
Is it really necessary to fry? Seems kinda unhealthy. I’ll probably just stick to chicken salad as a dip.
This is the best chicken salad recipe EVER! So tasty and easy!
Really? I thought the recipe was kinda basic. Where’s the fun in that? Maybe add some spices next time?
I totally agree! I made it yesterday and it was a huge hit with my family. The flavors blend so well together!
I love chicken salad but frying it seems kinda weird. Can’t it just be a sandwich?
Not bad but it didn’t remind me of the chicken salad I grew up with. I prefer it cold.
I tried this but it turned out kinda bland. Maybe adding more spices would help?
Made these for a potluck and they disappeared in minutes! Huge hit!
Too salty! I think 1/2 teaspoon salt would be better. It ruins the taste!
Easy peasy! Will try adding corn next time. Great idea!
Adding corn sounds awesome! I bet it’ll add a nice sweetness. Can’t wait to hear how it turns out!
Corn? Is that really a good idea? Seems kinda weird for chicken salad. Good luck tho!
I don’t really see how chicken salad can be fried, but I tried it anyway. It was okay, but not my favorite.
This recipe is so simple! I added a bit of hot sauce for an extra kick. Will be making again!
I forgot to boil the eggs and it turned out fine. Still yummy! 😄
I don’t eat chicken, but this recipe looks good for everyone who does! 🐔👍
I don’t like mayonnaise! What else can I use instead? 🤔
Thanks! You could try a veggie version too. Just swap the chicken for chickpeas or something, right?
Super simple! I made it with turkey instead. Delicious!
Why do you need sour and mayo? Seems like a waste. Just use one!
I dunno, seems like too much! I always just use mayo for chicken salad. Sour stuff just complicates it for me!
I think the sour adds a nice tang that balances the creaminess of the mayo. Plus, it’s a classic combo in many recipes!
Haha, who knew chicken salad could turn into this! Gave it a try and it was surprisingly good! #chickensaladlover
Hmm, not what I expected. Too much mayo. Next time less mayo, plus maybe some crunch?
What? Less mayo? I thought that was the whole point of a chicken salad! Maybe you just don’t know how to appreciate it. 🤷♂️
I think you might be onto something! A little crunch from some nuts or even crispy onions could add a nice texture. I love mayo, but balance is key!
Fried chicken salad? Sounds weird but these are bomb! Got my kids to eat them without complaining! Thanks for this recipe 🙂
These are so yummy! I added some hot sauce for a kick, and it was a hit.
Yum! I love chicken salad and this twist is great! Added some Jalapenos for a kick. Perfect snack!
This recipe isn’t really healthy tho. Why not bake it instead of frying? Just a thought!
I wasn’t so sure about the consistency, seemed too wet even after adding flour. They did fry well but didn’t have enough seasoning for my taste. A bit bland, honestly.
I made these with leftover chicken from dinner last night. Super easy and delicious!
Leftover chicken? Sounds a bit gross to me, but okay. Is it really that easy to make?
That sounds yummy! I love that you used leftovers, what a great idea! Can’t wait to try this!
Very interesting recipe! Could this work with tuna instead of chicken? Asking for a friend LOL.
These croquettes are divine! The mixture of flavors is so good, I might have eaten half the batch in one sitting! Will definitely make again.
I don’t know, they didn’t taste like chicken to me. Maybe I did something wrong?
This recipe is awesome! Perfect for a picnic or barbecue. Everyone loved them!
Croquettes? More like croque-not! They fell apart in the pan, nightmares! Never again.
I’m allergic to eggs, can I leave those out and still make these?
So I followed the steps but ended up with mushy patties…did I add too much mayo? What went wrong? 🤔
Too complicated. I just want a simple chicken salad, not all these steps.
Wait, do we really need 2.5 pieces of chicken??? What’s that even mean? I just used 2.
Haha, yeah that part is confusing! I just used 2 too. I mean, who measures chicken in pieces like that? 😂
I didn’t have all the spices. Just used salt and pepper, but still turned out great!
