Bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin is the ultimate combination of elegance and comfort, a dish that’s surprisingly easy to prepare yet impressive enough for special occasions. Juicy, tender pork is enveloped in a layer of smoky, crispy bacon, creating a show-stopping centerpiece with incredible flavor in every bite. The contrast between the succulent interior and the crisp exterior makes this dish a favorite for family dinners, holiday gatherings, and dinner parties alike.
The secret to the irresistible taste of bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin lies in how the two main components complement each other. Pork tenderloin is lean and mild, known for its tenderness and delicate flavor. Wrapping it in bacon not only adds a rich, savory layer but also helps lock in moisture as it cooks, ensuring the meat stays juicy and flavorful. As the bacon renders, it bastes the pork, infusing it with a smoky depth that elevates the entire dish.
What makes this recipe so versatile is its adaptability. You can season the pork with simple salt, pepper, and garlic for a classic approach, or add layers of flavor with a dry rub, fresh herbs, or a brush of Dijon mustard and honey for a sweet and savory twist. A glaze made with maple syrup or balsamic reduction can also be brushed over the bacon toward the end of cooking for a glossy, caramelized finish.
Bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin pairs beautifully with a wide range of sides, from roasted vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes to fresh salads and rice pilaf. It’s equally at home as a weeknight main course or the star of a festive meal. And because pork tenderloin cooks quickly, it’s a great choice when you want a dish that feels luxurious without spending hours in the kitchen.
Rich, satisfying, and full of flavor, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin is a dish that never fails to impress. With its juicy interior, crispy bacon shell, and endless possibilities for customization, it’s a crowd-pleasing favorite that deserves a spot in every home cook’s repertoire.

This recipe was a hit at my dinner party! Everyone loved it. Bacon makes everything better!
I’m not really a fan of rosemary. Can I just leave it out?
This was too salty for my taste. I think I’ll use less next time. 🤔
I followed the instructions exactly, but my bacon got all soggy. What did I do wrong?
Bacon okay. Pork meh. Overall, not impressed.
Sorry to hear you didn’t like it! Bacon is usually a crowd-pleaser, but everyone’s taste is different. Maybe try a different recipe next time?
Never thought of wrapping tenderloin in bacon! Genius idea! 😍
Right? Bacon makes everything better! Can’t wait to try this recipe! 😋
I dunno, buddy. Wrapping pork in bacon sounds good, but what if the bacon just makes it greasy? 🤔
Pork tenderloin? Isn’t that a fancy dish? It looks hard but tastes good!
It does sound fancy, but I think it’s super easy! The bacon makes everything better 😍.
Tasted like heaven but I burned the edges. Might just be me tho. Burnt bacon’s still bacon right?
Ok but—bacon is salty af, so the 1 tsp salt “or to taste” matters a lot. I used less salt and it was way better. Kinda restaurant-y result for the effort.
OMG this was so good! The bacon keeps it moist and adds flavor. Will definitely make again!
I over salted by accident, could’ve been the bacon too. Taste was ok tho, next time I’ll go lighter on the salt.
Oof, I’ve done that too. Bacon is definitely salty, so next time start with less salt since it’ll already be seasoned.
I liked the garlic-rosemary rub a lot. Next time I’ll use thicker bacon slices or overlap them more; mine didn’t fully cover the whole tenderloin and I got some bare spots.
Its ok, but I don’t like garlic. Could I replace it with something else?
I’m skeptical of the 145°F thing because pork always scares me. But I followed it and it was safe and not pink. Bacon got nice and crisp around the edges.
Low-key skeptical about using only 1 tbsp olive oil—like, will it really coat enough? But yeah, it did.
Not sure about the 145°F thing—mine seemed underdone at first, but after resting it turned out fine. The toothpicks helped, but I used too few and one bacon strip fell off… oops.
I don’t get how you cook the pork to 145°F and it’s still pink inside! Isn’t that undercooked?
The pink is okay! It’s just the juices from the meat. As long as it’s 145°F, it’s safe to eat!
Bacon + pork = a match made in heaven! Family loved it! 👏
Easy to make, but be careful with the toothpicks, they can be a hazard! I stabbed my thumb. Ouch.
Ouch! I can totally relate. Those toothpicks are sneaky! But the pork sounds delish!
If the toothpicks are a hazard, just don’t use them! It was easy for me though, no injuries!
Made this last night—so good. The rosemary + garlic combo is legit, and the bacon stayed nice and crisp.
I tried it but my bacon didn’t get that crisp—maybe I used thick strips? Still tasted good though. 145°F was the right temp, right?
Love hearing that! The rosemary + garlic combo really does make it taste fancy, and getting crisp bacon is the goal 😄
Made this tonight and it turned out amazing—juicy pork and the bacon stayed crispy at the edges. I used a little extra rosemary because I love the flavor. Will definitely repeat.
145°F seems low to me. I cooked to 160°F out of habit and it was fine, but I guess it won’t be as tender.
I followed it exactly but somehow my bacon shrunk and got kinda chewy instead of crisp… might be my oven or the thickness.
The bacon crisped nicely, but I think I over-salted it. Next time I’ll go lighter on the salt since the bacon already has plenty.
Totally agree—bacon can be plenty salty on its own. I usually do “salt to taste” like you said and taste the rub mixture first.
Simple and flavorful. I used dried rosemary because that’s what I had, and it was still tasty.
Love that you swapped in dried rosemary! I always forget fresh vs dried—did you use the same amount or adjust? Either way, glad it still came out tasty 😊
Dried rosemary works, sure… but 45 minutes at 400°F seems a lil long for 145°F. I’d pull it earlier or check the temp more often. Still, bacon makes everything better 😄
This is great for meal prep. I sliced it thin and reheated—didn’t dry out too bad. Would definitely make again.
Meal prep sounds good but 145°F seems kinda low to me? I always go higher or it feels underdone 😅. Still, glad it reheated okay!
Yes! I love meal prep recipes that don’t punish you on reheat. Thin slices are a good call—did you cover it when reheating or just put it in the oven/pan uncovered?
Quick question: do you flip it or baste? I didn’t and it was still okay, just less browned on one side.
I didn’t flip mine either—just rotated the pan once halfway and it browned up fine. The bacon seems to cook through evenly as it rests too.
Flip it?? No basting needed. Just make sure the bacon is pulled snug and overlap a little—if one side’s pale it’s usually because the pan wasn’t hot or the tenderloin sat uneven.
Totally delish! Followed every step and it turned out perfect. Highly recommend!
Tried it, but mine took closer to 55 minutes at 400°F. Still tasty though—garlic + rosemary combo is legit. Resting definitely helped so it didn’t dry out.
Honestly I don’t get the hype—my bacon shrank weird and the wrap loosened. Maybe I should’ve used thicker slices.
