Ingredients
- 6 lb Cornish game hen
- 2 tbsp Black pepper and salt
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Dried rosemary
- 1 tsp Dried sage
- 2 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the Cornish game hens under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the black pepper, salt, garlic powder, dried rosemary, and dried sage.
- Rub the hens with the olive oil, then generously sprinkle the spice mixture over the skin of each hen, making sure to cover them evenly.
- Place the hens breast side up on a roasting pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Once cooked, remove the hens from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve the roasted Cornish game hens with your favorite sides.
