Herb-Roasted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 5 lb Chicken
  • 1 tbsp Dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 piece Garlic

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the dried rosemary, black pepper, and salt.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin for more flavor.
  • Crush the garlic and place it inside the cavity of the chicken.
  • Place the chicken on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
