Spicy and flavorful turkey tacos that are perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 8 taco shells
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Warm the taco shells in the oven according to package instructions.
- Fill each taco shell with the turkey mixture and top with shredded cheese, sliced avocado, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side.
