In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Warm the taco shells in the oven according to package instructions.
Fill each taco shell with the turkey mixture and top with shredded cheese, sliced avocado, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side.
