When you need a breakfast that’s hearty, satisfying, and packed with flavor, the Pork and Mushroom Breakfast Skillet is the perfect choice. This one-pan dish combines tender pork, earthy mushrooms, and perfectly cooked eggs, creating a savory meal that will keep you energized all morning long.
The base of this skillet starts with succulent pork – whether it’s sausage, ground pork, or leftover roast, the meat adds a rich, savory flavor that anchors the dish. As the pork cooks, it releases its juices, creating a flavorful base for the mushrooms to absorb. The mushrooms, cooked until golden and tender, add an earthy depth to the dish, complementing the pork beautifully. A touch of garlic and onions enhances the flavors even further, infusing the entire skillet with a savory aroma.
What makes this dish truly special is the addition of eggs. Once the pork and mushrooms are cooked, eggs are cracked right into the skillet, allowing them to cook to your preferred level of doneness. The creamy yolks add a richness that balances out the savory pork and mushrooms, making each bite indulgent and satisfying.
You can customize this skillet with your favorite vegetables – bell peppers, spinach, or even tomatoes – for added color and nutrition. A sprinkle of cheese, like cheddar or feta, can be added just before serving, adding an extra layer of flavor and creaminess.
Pork and Mushroom Breakfast Skillet is not only delicious but also a great way to get a protein-packed meal first thing in the morning. It’s perfect for a weekend brunch or as a filling breakfast to start your day on the right note. Whether you enjoy it with toast, a side of avocado, or on its own, this skillet is sure to become a favorite in your breakfast rotation.

Eggs cooked to perfection. 10/10 would eat it every day.
Good, but I think I might combine it with some toast next time. More filling that way.
Simple and tasty, my husband enjoyed it! But why the thyme? I think it’s not necessary.
I followed the recipe but forgot the thyme. It was still good, but I think it needs more seasoning.
I’m not a cook but this seemed easy enough. Gonna try it! Wish me luck!
This was delicious! My family loved it, especially the eggs!
So glad to hear that! The eggs really do make it special. What did your family think of the mushrooms?
Why are we putting eggs in a skillet? Can’t we just scramble them? 😤
Super easy and quick to make! The eggs made it so creamy. Will definitely make again! 🤤
This is like breakfast for champs! Will make again for sure.
Love this! My kids eat it all, even the mushrooms! 😁
Quick question. Do I have to cover the skillet? What if I leave it open?
This breakfast skillet is super tasty! The combination of pork and eggs is perfect.👍
So many steps for breakfast! I like quick meals. Maybe I’ll try this on a weekend.
Yum! Made this for brunch with friends, was a hit! 👌
Pork and mushrooms? Idk, not for me. Not a fan of this combo.
I totally get that! Pork and mushrooms can be a weird combo for some. Maybe try it without the mushrooms?
This is a must-try! Pork and mushrooms are delicious together. You should give it a chance, you might be surprised!
I tried this but it didn’t taste like I thought it would. Maybe too much pork?
Why are there eggs in this? Are they really necessary? Just seems weird. 🤨
I. DON’T. LIKE. MUSHROOMS. No offense, but this just isn’t for me.
This breakfast skillet is a game changer! My family loved it and I can’t wait to make it again!
Why do you even put pork in breakfast? Seems weird… I’m skeptical.
