Mummy Sticks Pretzel are a fun, spooky snack that’s perfect for Halloween! These easy-to-make treats feature crunchy pretzel rods wrapped in white chocolate, creating a “mummy” effect with just a few simple ingredients. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party, looking for a fun activity with the kids, or simply want to add some Halloween flair to your snack table, Mummy Sticks Pretzel are sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Their combination of salty pretzels and sweet chocolate makes for a delicious and satisfying treat that’s both creepy and cute!
To make Mummy Sticks Pretzel, start by melting white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Pretzel rods are the ideal choice for this treat because they are long and sturdy, making them easy to coat and decorate. Dip each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated, then place it on a parchment-lined tray to set. Once the chocolate hardens, the fun begins!
To create the “mummy” look, melt a small amount of white chocolate and drizzle it over the pretzel rods in a zigzag pattern, mimicking the mummy’s bandages. Make sure to leave little gaps to give the appearance of a wrapped-up mummy. For the finishing touch, add candy eyes (you can find these at most grocery or craft stores) to give each mummy a spooky face. These eyes are what really bring the mummies to life, adding a playful yet eerie vibe to the snack.
You can also customize your Mummy Sticks Pretzel by using milk or dark chocolate for the eyes, or by adding colored sprinkles or edible glitter for extra Halloween flair. These treats are versatile, and you can get creative with the decorations to suit your party theme or personal preferences.
Mummy Sticks Pretzel are not only fun to make but also easy to transport, making them great for party favors, classroom treats, or festive snack boxes. The balance of salty pretzels and sweet chocolate will satisfy all your cravings while adding a spooky touch to your Halloween festivities.

So fun and easy! Took me like 10 min! Mummy sticks for days!
Wow, that sounds super quick and easy! Can’t wait to try it out. Perfect for Halloween!
This is too easy. I’m not sure it qualifies as a recipe. Anyone can melt chocolate!
Honestly, they don’t taste that great. Just pretzels covered in chocolate. What’s the big deal?
I tried it with dark chocolate instead, it was way better! Anyone else tried different chocolate?
These are super cute! I made them for Halloween, and my kids loved them!
I forgot to add the eyes! Still looked like mummies, haha!
This was the best recipe ever!! I’m not the best in the kitchen, but my mummy sticks turned out great. Everyone loved ’em!
I gotta say, these look like a total mess. My chocolate didn’t melt right and they ended up just looking like blobs.
These mummy sticks are so cute! My kids loved making them for Halloween. Super easy and fun! 🎃
Why use white chocolate? It just tastes like sweet nothing. Didn’t even know candy eyes were a thing until now. 😕
Yummy mummy sticks! 👻 But really, is this something that should be classified as ‘healthy’ just because it has pretzels?
Do you really need the candy eyes? Seems like a waste, I just used sprinkles instead.
Mum made these for our party, they were gone in minutes!!
These are so cute! Perfect for Halloween treats. My kids loved them!
Honestly, the flavor was kind of bland. Didn’t impress me.
WOW! Such a fun idea! My friends were impressed at the party! 🎉
Easy to make but the chocolate didn’t harden like I expected. A bit messy.
My dog ate one and now he keeps howlin. What’s up with that? 🤪
Sounds like he’s just excited about the mummy sticks! 😂 Maybe he wants more treats!
I followed it exactly and mine looked more like “sad lizards” than mummies 😅 Maybe my drizzle was too thick.
Cute!!!
Why not use different kinds of chocolate? Dark chocolate would be better!
Wahh the candy eyes are a pain to find! I used gummy bears instead.
These are so cute for Halloween! My kids loved them!
Yummy! But I subbed in dark chocolate, so good! 😋
Yum!
Not sure about the 24 candy eyes—seems like overkill. Also, melting chocolate in a microwave sometimes goes weird for me, so I’m skeptical.
Pretty easy, but I found I needed more chocolate than 1 cup—at least for thick “bandages.” Still turned out cute and crunchy.
Totally agree—my 1 cup barely covered the “bandages” either. I ended up adding more melts and it made them look way better. Cute idea though!
I dunno, I followed it exactly and mine came out okay. Maybe your chocolate chips were smaller or something? Still, the eyes falling off was annoying—next time I’ll use less time between dipping and setting.
Worked pretty well, but I had to reheat the chocolate a couple times because it thickened in between batches. Still super easy though.
These are adorable! The step about pressing the eyes while the chocolate is still wet is key—mine wouldn’t stick if I waited too long. Great quick Halloween snack.
I tried this and my “mummy” looks more like a broken stick lol. I think I over-melted the chocolate? Still tasted good tho. Any tips so the eyes actually stay?
Yes!! I did the same thing—if you wait, the eyes just slide right off. These are dangerously cute. 👻
I tried to make them, but the chocolate wouldn’t melt right. Total fail!
These are so cute! I made them for a party and they disappeared fast. The candy eyes really sell the “mummy” look.
Aww yes—those candy eyes are the whole magic. I bet they went FAST. I’m adding this to my Halloween snack list! 👻
Looks easy but messy. I got chocolate everywhere! Lol
I don’t get how they look like mummies. They just look like chocolate pretzels.
I think they look cute, just not super mummy-like. Maybe try different eyes?
They totally look like mummies when you drizzle the chocolate! It’s all about the bandages!
Great idea! I added some sprinkles for fun. 10/10!
Easy. Tasty.
I tried this and the chocolate seized a little when I microwaved it too fast. Also my eyes looked like they were melting? Maybe my candy eyes were the wrong size but overall meh.
Oof, that “seized” chocolate is usually from microwaving in too-high bursts. Try 15–20 second intervals and stir really thoroughly—also make sure it’s fully dry in the bowl (no water at all). Candy eyes can be picky too.
Not gonna lie, 12 pretzels feels like a random number. Would’ve preferred a clearer yield or timing. Taste is okay though—sweet + salty works.
I get you—12 does feel oddly specific 😅. But it’s basically one package of pretzel rods chopped/ready to go. Timing-wise, I just wait until the chocolate fully turns matte before moving them.
I actually used 24 pretzel rods once and it was way too much chocolate, lol. So maybe 12 is the “right” number for 1 cup chips. Next time I’ll measure the yield better though—good point.
