Mediterranean Beef and Tomato Breakfast Wrap

August 9, 2023

If you’re looking for a satisfying and flavorful way to start your day, look no further than the Mediterranean Beef and Tomato Breakfast Wrap. This wrap combines the savory richness of seasoned beef with fresh, juicy tomatoes and the bold flavors of Mediterranean spices, all wrapped up in a soft, warm tortilla. It’s a hearty breakfast option that’s perfect for busy mornings or a leisurely weekend brunch.

The foundation of this wrap is the seasoned beef, which is cooked until tender and infused with Mediterranean spices like cumin, paprika, and oregano. The beef brings a rich, savory flavor that pairs beautifully with the freshness of the tomatoes, which provide a juicy contrast to the meat. The addition of fresh herbs, like parsley or basil, adds a burst of freshness, while a sprinkle of feta cheese adds creaminess and tang to balance the flavors.

The wrap itself is a convenient and portable way to enjoy this delicious meal. It holds all the ingredients together, making it easy to eat on the go, whether you’re heading to work, school, or simply enjoying a morning at home. You can also add a dollop of hummus or a drizzle of tzatziki sauce for extra creaminess and to bring even more Mediterranean flavor to the dish.

Mediterranean Beef and Tomato Breakfast Wraps are versatile and can be customized to suit your preferences. Swap the beef for ground lamb or chicken if you prefer, or add extra vegetables like spinach, cucumbers, or bell peppers for added crunch and freshness. A few olives or sun-dried tomatoes can also elevate the flavor.

Whether you’re craving something hearty to fuel your day or looking to try something new for breakfast, this wrap offers a perfect blend of savory, fresh, and satisfying ingredients. It’s a great way to enjoy Mediterranean flavors while staying full and energized until your next meal.

So many ingredients, it looks too complicated for breakfast. Can’t trust it.

  2. 5 stars
This recipe is awesome! My family loved it, especially the feta. Will definitely make again!

Easy to follow, and I like that you don’t overcomplicate the steps. My wraps got a tiny bit soggy from the eggs, but still delicious.

    1. 5 stars
Glad it worked for you! Soggy wraps can happen with eggs—next time I’d try warming the tortillas just before filling and maybe keep the eggs a touch less runny. Still sounds delicious though 😄

    2. User avatar Marcela Wolf says:

      3 stars
Hmm soggy is kinda bummer—maybe toast the wraps first? Also I think 4 tbsp feta is too much, it should be like 2 tbsp otherwise it makes it wet. But yeah easy steps! I’d try again.

  4. User avatar jamie.sanford23 says:

Just made this and it was SO good! Did it for breakfast and my kids loved it too! 🥳

  5. 3 stars
My eggs cooked a little too fast in the empty space, so I ended up with small curds. Still tasty though—could be a timing/heat issue.

This was amazing! So tasty and filling. A great start to my day! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yum, but where do I find smoked paprika? I could only find regular… 😕

    1. User avatar arthur.macgyver2010 says:

      5 stars
You can find smoked paprika at most grocery stores, usually in the spice aisle. If not, try looking at specialty or international markets. It’s worth it! 😊

  8. User avatar xochitl.johnson55 says:

Maybe use less salt? Mine turned out kinda salty.

I don’t think beef belongs in breakfast! Breakfast should be sweet not savory!

  10. User avatar Sapphire says:

    5 stars
just wow, forget fast food 4 breakfast! love it!

    1. 2 stars
Looks good but isn’t breakfast just supposed to be cereal or toast? 🤔

    2. User avatar tamie.harber says:

      5 stars
This sounds incredible! Can’t wait to try it for breakfast tomorrow. 😍

  11. User avatar Dorothy Casper says:

There are like, too many ingredients for a breakfast wrap???

  12. User avatar Lumberjack says:

This breakfast wrap’s more like a full-on lunch! Too heavy for me in the morning.

I didn’t have smoked paprika, so I used regular paprika… it was still good, but not the same!

I don’t like feta cheese, what can I use instead? 🤷‍♀️

    1. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

You can try using goat cheese or even cream cheese! Those should work well! 😋

  15. User avatar nobuko.hand says:

This is a game changer! I swapped beef for turkey and it was still great! 5 stars!

  16. 3 stars
Could use more veggies, I think. But overall pretty decent.

  17. 3 stars
I tried it, but it was too salty for my taste. Maybe less salt next time? 🤔

  18. User avatar Death Hound says:

    3 stars
This is basically just a burrito, right? Can’t believe it’s called Mediterranean!

    1. 4 stars
I see where you’re coming from, but that’s kinda simplifying it. Burritos are more Mexican, while this has those Greek flavors. Totally different vibe!

  19. User avatar august.hartmann2007 says:

This wrap was amazing! So flavorful and filling.

  20. User avatar Ms. Jacques Lemke says:

The instructions are fine, but “warm the tortilla wraps” is vague—mine dried out. I had to cover them with a lid. Still a good idea.

    1. 5 stars
Totally agree—“warm the tortilla wraps” is super vague. I usually warm mine in a dry skillet for like 20–30 seconds per side, but covering them with a lid/paper towel is the real fix so they don’t dry out. Glad you still liked it!

  21. User avatar vena.lynch3 says:

    2 stars
Really? Spinach in breakfast wraps? Doesn’t sound right, what’s next? Kale in pancakes?

    1. User avatar Slartibartfast says:

      4 stars
Actually, spinach is pretty good in breakfast wraps! It adds some freshness. You should give it a try!

    2. User avatar moon.prosacco50 says:

      2 stars
Nah, sounds weird. I wouldn’t put greens in my breakfast. Give me my bacon and eggs plain, thanks!

  22. 3 stars
Eh, it was alright. I was expecting more flavor. The beef was a bit dry for me.

  23. User avatar lucius.botsford12 says:

Beef for breakfast? Seems weird. I’ll stick with my oatmeal.

    1. User avatar shayne.kuvalis says:

      5 stars
Glad you liked it! Adding spices really takes it to the next level. 😊

  26. 2 stars
I don’t know, I didn’t like the spices in this. It was a bit overpowering for my taste.

  27. User avatar tad.collier91 says:

Yum! 👌 I used salsa instead of fresh tomato and it still tasted good.

    1. User avatar kassie.lueilwitz65 says:

      2 stars
Salsa instead of fresh tomato? Hmm, sounds weird. Are you sure it tasted good?

    2. User avatar Dwarven Centurion says:

      5 stars
I love that idea! Salsa adds a nice kick. Gonna try that next time! 🌶️

  28. User avatar Yolanda Lindgren says:

    3 stars
I tried it and honestly it tasted kinda bland until I added extra salt and pepper. The recipe itself is good though—I just think my smoked paprika was weak.

  29. User avatar jessie.roob97 says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have feta, so I used cheddar and it was still yum. Thumbs up from me!

  30. User avatar ali.halvorson says:

    5 stars
I swapped the feta for cheddar and it was superb! Must try! 🧀

  31. User avatar verna.crooks1977 says:

    4 stars
Easy to make! I used leftover beef and it worked out great! 👍

  32. User avatar palmer.johnston50 says:

    3 stars
Looks good but i dont get why use salt AND feta like… feta salty too. I think i would cut salt in half.

  33. 2 stars
Why would you put feta in breakfast? Doesn’t make sense. No thanks.

  34. User avatar felton.baumbach2001 says:

    5 stars
This sounds like the perfect savory breakfast—beef + eggs + feta is a winning combo. The smoked paprika vibe is what sold me. Definitely making this this week.

  35. 4 stars
Kinda hard to find some of these ingredients, like smoked paprika. Can I use regular paprika?

    1. User avatar thelma.gerhold47 says:

      3 stars
Smoked paprika is better for this, but I guess regular is fine. Just not the same, ya know?

    2. User avatar yi.lockman says:

      4 stars
Yes, regular paprika will work, but it won’t have that smoky flavor. It’s still gonna taste good though!

  36. User avatar kory.mills2001 says:

    4 stars
I don’t like tomatoes. Could I replace them with something else? Asking for a friend.

  37. User avatar cristal.lynch88 says:

    5 stars
Easy to make and very filling. I’ll definitely make this again! 👍

    1. User avatar enedina.hudson1978 says:

      5 stars
So glad you loved it! I mean, who doesn’t like a tasty wrap? Yum! 😋

  38. User avatar dirk.dibbert59 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but 2 large tortillas felt like a lot for 200g beef. I ended up using smaller tortillas and added more spinach to balance it out.

  39. 4 stars
Can’t believe how quick this was to make! I’m no chef but I managed just fine. 😊

  40. User avatar candelaria.renner1982 says:

    5 stars
Very filling! My kids loved it, especially the eggs! Thanks for sharing!

    1. 2 stars
KIDS? Why they eat so many eggs? That’s like, too much cholesterol. But I’m glad ya liked it.

    2. User avatar natalya.gleichner30 says:

      5 stars
So glad to hear your kids enjoyed it! Eggs are always a hit with mine too! 😊

  41. User avatar elmer.green30 says:

    2 stars
Meh, it was kinda bland. I expected more flavor from all those spices.

  42. 1 star
How do you even cook ground beef?? I’m lost. Help??

  43. User avatar Polly Ester says:

    4 stars
I used tofu instead of beef because I’m a vegan. Still turned out pretty good!

    1. User avatar lakendra.simonis says:

      5 stars
That’s awesome! Tofu is such a great alternative for vegans. Did you add anything special to the tofu?

    2. User avatar Casey Hauck says:

      2 stars
Tofu? Seriously? That’s not even close to the original recipe… How can that be a beef wrap? 🤔

  44. User avatar Zarniwoop says:

    1 star
Kinda simple, not a fan of the wraps at breakfast. Prefer pancakes.

  45. User avatar Cave Bear says:

    4 stars
Honestly I was skeptical about the tortilla wraps for a “Mediterranean” thing, but the ingredients totally work together. The oregano smell is amazing.

  46. User avatar Lumberjack says:

    5 stars
Made this last weekend. The smoked paprika really elevates it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    1. User avatar liberal.hero says:

      5 stars
Absolutely agree! The smoked paprika is a game changer. I made it with extra feta, and it was divine! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    2. 3 stars
Sounds good, but I’ve never tried adding paprika to breakfast. 🤔 I prefer just basic eggs and bacon. Maybe I’ll give it a go, though.

  47. User avatar stanford.walker50 says:

    2 stars
Not a fan. The beef was kinda dry. I mean, you can make it better with chicken, right?

    1. User avatar alfredo.vonrueden says:

      3 stars
Dry beef? Yikes! I use more spices when I cook to keep it moist! Ace idea with chicken though, I might try that!

    2. User avatar sol.zemlak99 says:

      4 stars
I actually find beef can be juicy if cooked right! Maybe try not overcooking it next time? Chicken is good too, but I love the flavor of beef in this dish! 🤷‍♀️

  48. User avatar Android 19 says:

    1 star
1 tsp smoked paprika made it way too smoky for me. Also I accidentally cooked the onion too long and it turned sweet/bitter. Would not repeat as-is.

  49. User avatar gerry.okeefe69 says:

    5 stars
Yummy! I added some hot sauce and it turned out great. Spicy!

  50. 5 stars
Easy peasy! My kids loved it! I’ll be making this again for sure.

  51. User avatar ahmad.oreilly19 says:

    3 stars
It’s okay, but I think it needed more seasoning?? Not sure what was missing.

  52. 4 stars
Loved it! The flavors were so good together. My kids gobbled it up! 😊

  53. User avatar chassidy.thompson2010 says:

    3 stars
The eggs didn’t scramble well, guess I overcooked them. Might try again though.

  54. User avatar hobert.lakin4 says:

    3 stars
Too many ingredients for breakfast if you ask me. Who’s got time for that?

    1. 2 stars
Who has time to cook that in the morning? Just grab a granola bar and go! 😂

    2. 5 stars
I get that it’s a lot, but meal prep can make mornings easier! Try it out once, you might love it!

  55. User avatar josefa.goyette44 says:

    4 stars
I liked it a lot, but I’d add a squeeze of lemon or a little hot sauce next time. Also the wraps get a bit messy if you overstuff, so go easy on the spinach.

  56. User avatar gino.bosco1975 says:

    3 stars
I didn’t have feta, so I used cheddar. Not the same I bet. But still good, I guess.

  57. User avatar Gandalf the Grey says:

    5 stars
This is such a solid breakfast idea—savory, filling, and the feta on top is a great touch. I used turkey because that’s what I had, and it still worked really well.

  58. User avatar clifford.sipes1993 says:

    2 stars
I don’t get the feta amount—4 tbsp sounded like too much so I used less. It still came out great, but maybe I’m just not a feta person.

  59. 4 stars
Really enjoyed the flavors. Smoked paprika + oregano combo tastes super Mediterranean. Next time I might add a little chili flakes for heat.

  60. User avatar rickie.carroll says:

    2 stars
Too much effort for morning. I mean 8 steps? And now I’m washing like 2 skillets. Could’ve just done it as an omelette.

  61. User avatar Siona Atreides says:

    2 stars
I used chicken because that’s what I had and it was okay… but not the same. Ground beef really matters for the flavor depth.
