Ingredients
- 2 pounds Russet potatoes Peeled
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 cups Vegetable oil For frying

- Peel and parboil the potatoes in boiling water for about 10 minutes. Drain and let them cool enough to handle.
- Grate the parboiled potatoes using a box grater, then transfer the grated potatoes to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Why do people make these from scratch? Just buy them frozen! It’s easier and tastes the same.
I didn’t have vegetable oil, so I used olive oil. Bad idea! They didn’t taste right. Stick to the recipe, folks.
Came out like mush, my dog wouldn’t even eat ’em. Followed the recipe but still a flop.
