Grilled Mediterranean Salmon is a perfect blend of health and taste, ideal for weeknight dinners or weekend gatherings. This dish brings the bright, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean coast straight to your plate with minimal effort and maximum flavor.
The star of the dish is, of course, the salmon, rich in omega-3 fatty acids and naturally tender. Itās marinated in a simple yet flavorful mix of extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and classic Mediterranean herbs like oregano, thyme, and parsley. This marinade not only enhances the flavor but also helps keep the fish moist during grilling.
Once marinated, the salmon is grilled over medium-high heat, allowing the outside to develop beautiful char marks while the inside stays flaky and juicy. The smoky flavor from the grill complements the freshness of the marinade perfectly. For best results, leave the skin on while grilling to help retain moisture and prevent sticking.
Serve the grilled salmon with a light cucumber and tomato salad, a side of couscous or orzo, or some grilled vegetables like zucchini and bell peppers. A dollop of tzatziki or a drizzle of tahini dressing adds an extra layer of Mediterranean flair.
This dish is not only delicious but also incredibly nutritiousāpacked with protein, healthy fats, and bright, natural ingredients. Whether you’re entertaining or looking for a quick and healthy dinner, Grilled Mediterranean Salmon is a wholesome, satisfying choice thatās sure to please everyone at the table.

I accidentally forgot to put the lemon slices on (oops), still tasted great. Might be even better with lemon obviously, but the olives + sun-dried tomatoes carried it hard.
Omg thatās honestly hilarious š but I can totally see how the olives + sun-dried tomatoes + feta would do most of the work flavor-wise. Next time youāll nail it with the lemon slices thoughāworth it!
Honestly the marinade is a little salty for my taste. Also I forgot the parsley onceāstill good, but garnish matters!
Too much garlic!! Can’t taste anything else! š
I think the garlic adds a great flavor! Just cut back a bit next time. š
I had to use canned olives instead of fresh. Still tasted great, but I don’t think it turned out as good as it should have.
Not sure about the lemon slices on topāmine slid around and made the fish a bit āwet.ā I ended up putting lemon on the side and it was better. Still a decent idea.
Seems too complicated for a busy weekday. Just grilled some plain salmon instead.
Absolutely delicious! The flavors are amazing, my family loved it!
Looks good, but is salmon really that healthy? I mean, it’s fish but still has calories.š¤
I’m so glad to hear that! This recipe is a family favorite for sure. What did you serve it with?
Super easy recipe! I made it last night and it was delicious š.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! The feta really adds a nice kick, doesn’t it? š
What is sun-dried tomato? Sounds fancy, I just used ketchup…
Sun-dried tomatoes are just dried tomatoes! They kinda taste sweet and tangy, way better than ketchup! You should try it!
I don’t get why you’d put feta on salmon. Seems weird to me.
Good but maybe a bit too salty for me. Next time Iāll skip the added salt.
Didnāt have sun-dried tomatoes, so I used fresh tomatoes. Still pretty good!
Glad to hear it turned out well! Fresh tomatoes can work just fine, right?
Not gonna lie, 6-8 minutes per side seems off depending on grill and thickness. Iād trust it more with internal temp notes.
6-8 minutes per side seems like a lot? My fillets were thin and they overcooked. Also, 1/4 cup feta felt like not enoughāunless you really love lighter cheese.
Pretty good, but I think 6-8 minutes per side depends a lot on thickness. Mine was thinner so Iād start checking earlier. Topping is legit thoughāsalty, tangy, and bright.
Easy to make, but I think my grill was too hot. Burned part of it, oops!
Yeah, grilling can be tricky! Try turning down the heat next time. The salmon is still gonna taste good, even if itās a bit charred. Donāt sweat it! š
Honestly, sounds good but I donāt like sun-dried tomatoes. Like I tried them once and never again. Would swap for roasted red peppers maybe.
Wow, this salmon recipe is fantastic! It was so easy to follow and my family loved it.
I tried this recipe too! It was super easy and my kids loved it! Great flavor! Thanks for sharing!
Iāve made this twice now and itās my husbandās favorite! Easy and tasty!
This is the best salmon recipe ever! I added a pinch of chili flakes for some heat and it was fantastic.
Sounds delicious! Chili flakes are a great addition! I might try that next time.
Followed the times pretty closely (mine took closer to 8 minutes per side). The feta/olive topping is the star. Would make again.
This was delicious! I’m going to make it again next week. š
This salmon recipe is amazing! I loved the feta and olives on top. Will make it again for sure!
OMG! So good! Even my kids who usually hate fish gobbled it up!!
It was okay but I prefer my fish with more seasoning. Maybe I did something wrong?
5 stars, but can you make it more spicy? Love spicy food!
Not sure about dried basil + dried thyme combo. It came out a bit flat for me, like the herbs didnāt pop. Next time Iāll add a little lemon juice into the marinade.
Made this tonight and it tasted super freshālike actual Mediterranean vacation energy. The garlic-herb oil smelled amazing and the feta topping was the perfect salty contrast.
Good but way too salty. I suggest using less salt than called for. š§
Grilled salmon? Really? I thought salmon was supposed to be baked. This seems weird to me.
I wasnāt sure about putting lemon slices on top, but it worked. Juicy salmon, and the sun-dried tomatoes give it a nice tang.
Not sure about the lemon on top. I tried it and it was kinda too sour for me, like overpowering. Maybe Iād use less next time or squeeze lemon instead. Otherwise flavors were decent.
I was skeptical about the lemon slices too, but wowāmine came out super juicy. The sun-dried tomatoes + feta combo is the real MVP. Great recipe!
I don’t really like olives. Can I leave them out? Will it still taste good?
Way too salty for me. I measured the salt as written, but with feta + olives it added up. Next time Iāll cut the salt in the marinade.
Totally get itāfeta + olives are already pretty salty, so that extra 1/2 tsp in the marinade can sneak up fast. Next time Iād definitely reduce the salt or even taste-test the marinade before grilling. Thanks for calling it out!
5 stars!!!šš Totally yum! Feta and sun-dried tomatoes are a killer combo!
This recipe is absolutely fantastic! The flavors are amazing and it was so easy to make. āāāāā
How do you even cook salmon properly? Mine always comes out nasty. Need tips! š¤
Cooking salmon is easy once you get the hang of it! Just make sure not to overcook it. Grilling it like this sounds delicious! š£
Not bad, but it felt like a lot going on at onceālike olives + sun-dried tomatoes + feta on top. Iād maybe do half the amount of mix.
I followed the recipe but the salmon turned out too dry. Maybe I cooked it too long? Idk. Not happy.
Love it. So easy.
Uh huh⦠ā6ā8 min per sideā feels a little vague though. Mine got overdone last timeāthickness matters I guess.
Right?? The flavors feel fancy but itās super straightforward. The feta topping is the best part.
This recipe is a game changer! The salmon came out so flavorful, I can’t believe how easy it was. Definitely a keeper!
I donāt really grill salmon, but this recipe sounded easy. I messed up the timing and it was kinda dry⦠still, flavor was okay.
Ah, that happensāsalmon dries out fast if it goes a minute too long. Next time, try starting with a slightly lower heat or pull it when it flakes but still looks a bit glossy in the center. Glad the flavor was still good though!
I burnt the salmon. How do you prevent that from happening? Help!
Oh no! That makes me so sad for you! Try lowering the heat a bit next time and keeping an eye on it! You got this!
Um, so is it just me or does grilled salmon always taste kinda bland? I followed the recipe but didn’t love it.
Delightful! So tasty and fresh. I could eat this every day. āāāāā
This grilled salmon recipe is amazing! The flavors blend so well together! I loved the feta and sun-dried tomatoes topping.
My grill smoked like crazy lol. I used more olive oil than listed. Salmon was tasty but kind of over-seasoned. Also, I wish the instructions said to oil the grates first.
I was a bit skeptical at first. Salmon and olives? Really? But I gave it a shot and it turned out well.
Ok but the instructions are kinda confusing. Do I put all the stuff on it before grilling or after? I guess it worked out fine in the end.
Can you use chicken instead of salmon? Asking for a friend.
Iām not a āgrilling fishā person, but this was easy. Lemon on top helped a lot. My family kept asking when Iād make it again.
The lemon slices were a great touch, though I think 6-8 minutes per side is a little long for thinner fillets. Iād check earlier next time.
Totally agree about the timingā6-8 min/side seems like it could dry out thinner fillets. I started doing 4-5 min/side and itās much better.
Hmm I cooked mine 7 minutes a side and it was still juicy š¤·āāļø Maybe it depends on thickness? I also kept the grill a bit cooler.
Salmon on the grill? No thanks. I prefer it baked. Just doesnāt taste right otherwise.
Not sure about the thyme amountāmy jar measured differently and it came out a little overpowering. Would do 1/4 tsp next time.
Good callādried thyme can vary a lot by brand/jar. I usually go lighter too (like 1/4 tsp) if Iām using a stronger thyme. Glad you adjusted!
Interestingāmine was totally fine, maybe your thyme was more potent? Iād try tasting the marinade next time before grilling. Also 6-8 min per side seems long though⦠I do like 4-5.
Loved this recipe! The flavors were amazing and the salmon turned out perfect. Definitely a keeper!
I donāt like salmon normally but this recipe made me a fan! Super easy to make, and my family loved it. Definitely making it again!
My salmon turned out super dry. I think I overcooked it š. Need to try again!
This was so flavorfulāgarlic + oregano on the grill tastes legit. The feta topping makes it feel fancy without much effort. 10/10 would make again.
My grill runs hot, so I ended up with slightly overcooked edges. Still tasty thoughānext time Iāll check earlier.
I didn’t have feta, so I used cheddar instead. It was alright, but not the same. Maybe I’ll try again with the right cheese.
1/4 cup feta on top?? That seems like way too much cheese for fish š But I gotta admit it did taste good, just richer than I expected.
