Grilled Beef and Broccoli Salad

August 9, 2023

A Grilled Beef and Broccoli Salad is a perfect blend of savory grilled beef and the fresh crunch of broccoli, creating a hearty yet healthy dish. This salad is not only packed with nutrients but also delivers big flavors, making it a great option for a satisfying meal that won’t leave you feeling heavy. The smoky, tender beef paired with crisp, lightly cooked broccoli makes for a vibrant and well-balanced combination.

Grilling the beef is key to adding rich flavor. The high heat creates a smoky char, sealing in the beef’s natural juices. It also enhances the savory taste, especially when marinated with a blend of soy sauce, garlic, and a touch of honey. Once grilled, the beef is sliced thinly, making it easy to toss into the salad and pair with the broccoli.

Broccoli is the star vegetable in this dish, offering a burst of color and a good dose of vitamins and fiber. You can either lightly steam or blanch the broccoli to maintain its crunch and bright green color, which contrasts beautifully with the grilled beef. The slight bitterness of the broccoli balances out the richness of the beef, creating a harmonious dish.

To tie it all together, drizzle the salad with a simple yet flavorful dressing. A mix of soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and a little garlic makes for a savory-sweet dressing that complements both the beef and the broccoli. A sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions on top adds an extra layer of flavor and texture, making the salad even more enjoyable.

This Grilled Beef and Broccoli Salad is not only quick and easy to prepare but also an excellent choice for those looking for a nutritious meal. The beef provides a great source of protein, while the broccoli offers essential vitamins and fiber. Plus, it’s a meal that can easily be customized to your taste—add extra vegetables or swap out the beef for another protein if you prefer.

In summary, a Grilled Beef and Broccoli Salad is a healthy, flavorful option for lunch or dinner. With its smoky beef, crunchy broccoli, and savory dressing, it’s a dish that’s sure to satisfy your hunger and taste buds without being overly heavy.

Sounds good, but do you really think it’s that great? 🤔 I mean, it’s just beef and broccoli…

I don’t know… sounds kinda bland to me. Maybe add more spices?

This turned out so flavorful—sweet, garlicky, and the sesame oil really pops. I grilled the beef a touch longer and it still stayed juicy after resting.

Not gonna lie, I’m a little skeptical—2 tbsp sesame oil seems like a lot for a salad. Mine was tasty but almost too rich. Next time I’ll cut it in half and add a bit more vinegar.

    2. 5 stars
Yes!! I had the same experience—this marinade is seriously sweet-garlicky heaven. I did 3 min a side and mine was still juicy after resting too. The sesame oil really makes it.

Nah, I don’t think this sounded right. Broccoli and beef in a salad? That’s just weird. Not for me, thanks.

Beef in a salad? That’s just wrong. Salads are for lettuce, not meat. Idk who made this up, but nah.

It was okay, but I think I added too much soy sauce. Next time I’ll try to tone it down a bit.

very easy to make, even a beginner like me can do it. thanks!

Really? It seems kinda complicated to me. Does the beef not taste raw if you only grill it for 2-3 minutes?

Not sure if spicy is good with this. Beef should be savory, not hot. Just saying! 🤔

  9. User avatar michiko.kohler12 says:

Beef is a bit chewy, could use tenderizing first. Broccoli was good tho. 🤔

My dog ate half of it before I could serve it! Woof Woof! 🐶
