This delicious and savory Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche is a comforting dish perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a light dinner. With its golden, flaky pastry crust and rich, creamy filling, it brings a touch of French elegance to everyday meals. The combination of fresh broccoli florets and sharp cheddar cheese creates a perfect balance of flavor—earthy, cheesy, and satisfying.
Quiche, a staple in French cuisine, originated in the Lorraine region and has since become a favorite around the world. While the classic French version often features bacon and cheese (Quiche Lorraine), this vegetarian twist uses vibrant broccoli for a fresh, nutritious spin. The filling, made with eggs and cream, is gently poured over the broccoli and cheddar before being baked to perfection in a tender crust.
What makes this dish especially appealing is its versatility. Serve it warm, at room temperature, or even chilled—the quiche is delicious at any temperature. Whether you’re hosting a weekend brunch or prepping meals ahead of time, this Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche is an excellent choice. Its French-inspired flavor and presentation make it feel special, even though it’s simple to prepare.
You can enhance the dish further with a touch of Dijon mustard or herbs like thyme or chives—both common in French cooking. Pair it with a light green salad or a bowl of soup for a complete meal that’s as elegant as it is comforting.
Whether you’re new to quiche or a seasoned fan of French baking, this Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche is sure to become a favorite in your recipe rotation. It’s hearty, flavorful, and just the right mix of rustic charm and refined French flair.

This quiche is so easy to make! I added some diced onions for extra flavor. My kids loved it!
This quiche was a hit at my brunch! Can’t believe how easy it was. Will definitely make again.
Quiche don’t gotta be hard! I used frozen broccoli and it still turned out good!
I love that you used frozen broccoli! It’s so convenient. Quiche really doesn’t have to be complicated at all. Thanks for sharing your experience!
But isn’t fresh broccoli better? I don’t know, frozen stuff just feels not right. Plus, how do you know it was actually good?
Broccoli in a pie??? 🤔 Weird combo but I gave it a shot and it was delicious!
Broccoli in a pie sounds odd! Can’t believe it was good. What next, spinach cake? 😂
I was skeptical at first too, but it turned out really good! Plus, it’s a great way to sneak in some veggies. 👍
Quiche is supposed to be fancy, this one is more like a breakfast casserole lol.
Broccoli and cheese? Yuck! Can’t believe people eat this. 😒
Why do you have to preheat the oven? Can’t I just throw it in there? Seems silly to wait.
Does it really matter? I’ve cooked stuff without preheating and it was fine. Just a waste of time, I think.
Preheating is important! It makes sure your quiche cooks evenly. If you just throw it in, it might not set right.
Why would you put broccoli in quiche? Seems weird to me. Sticking with my bacon version!
Broccoli adds a nice crunch and flavor! You should try it sometime 😊.
Too bland for my taste, I think it needs more spices or something. I was expecting more flavor.
I totally understand! Adding garlic, paprika, or even some red pepper flakes could really kick it up a notch. Just a thought!
Couldn’t find cheddar so used mozzarella. Is that okay? Results were still decent but I think cheddar’s better.
This quiche was a hit at the brunch! My friends devoured it! 🌟
Broccoli? No thanks! Who wants to eat green stuff in a pie? Yuck…
Is 1 cup of cheese even enough? I added more and it was heavenly!
I think more cheese is always a good idea! Cheese makes everything better, right? 😊
Broccoli and cheddar?! You must be joking! Yuck!
I tried to make this but I forgot the eggs. It didn’t look right. Do you need the eggs? 🙁
It tasted okay, but I think I used too much salt. Next time, I’ll cut back on it.
Loved this recipe! So easy and tasty. Perfect for brunch!
Not good, I didn’t like the combo of cheese and broccoli, yuck!
Is it really quiche if you use store-bought crust? Feel like it should be homemade, but whatever.
Loved this quiche! So cheesy and broccoli adds a nice touch. Will definitely make again!
Quiche? More like… why-couldn’t-I-make-it-right?! Followed all the steps but it looked nothing like the pic.
Quiche is supposed to be made with cream, not milk, right?😕
Actually, I’ve seen recipes use both! It can work with milk too, keeps it lighter. 😊
This quiche was a hit at my brunch! Everyone loved it.
This was too salty for my taste, could be better.
Absolutely delicious! The blend of broccoli and cheddar is fantastic. Will make again for sure!
Yummy! Can’t go wrong with broccoli and cheese. My kids loved it!
I tried it but used frozen broccoli instead. Didnt turn out too great. Maybe fresh is the way to go?
But like, frozen is still okay right? It’s just broccoli. You could try cooking it differently.
I think fresh broccoli makes a huge difference! Frozen can be too soggy sometimes. Give it another shot!
I think the recipe is okay, but my quiche came out kinda soggy. Maybe I should’ve baked it longer?
Yeah, it sounds like you might need to bake it a bit longer. I usually go for at least 45 minutes to get it nice and firm!
Mine was super soggy too! I think it’s all about how much moisture is in the broccoli. Maybe try less next time?
Just okay. I added some garlic powder, but it still lacked flavor. Maybe if I used more cheese?
I used frozen broccoli and it turned out great! Who needs fresh?
I followed the recipe but found it a bit bland. Maybe adding some garlic would help?
I totally agree! Garlic would definitely add some flavor to this quiche. Maybe some herbs too? 🤔
I don’t know about the broccoli. Kind of a weird choice for a quiche, right?
Tastes just like my grandma’s! So good and easy.
Boring flavor, didn’t taste like much… Maybe I added too much milk?
I followed the recipe but it came out super watery. What did I do wrong?
Maybe you added too much milk? I sometimes use less to make it thicker.
Yummmm!
Easy and tasty! My kids even ate the broccoli!
Absolutely delicious! My family loved it!
I’m glad your family enjoyed it! It’s such a comforting dish. Did you make any changes to the recipe?
Looks good but I don’t eat eggs. Do you think it would work with tofu instead?
So easy to make! I added some spices to mine, and it turned out super flavorful. Definitely making again.
Lol I mixed up the temps and cooked it at 400°F. It was still good but a bit burnt on the edges. 😂
I don’t like quiche but this one was ok. Maybe with less cheese?
Less cheese? Nah! More cheese is the way to go!! It’s a cheddar quiche after all. Why not just try a different recipe that you like better?
I totally get that! I usually go easy on cheese too, makes it a little less rich. But I actually thought the cheese added a nice flavor. Maybe try it without next time!
I thought this was going to be better. The crust got soggy after baking. Maybe my pie crust was too thin?
I had the same issue with the crust! I think it might be the moisture from the broccoli. Next time, I’ll try pre-baking the crust a bit first.
Made this for brunch. Everyone loved it, even the kids! 😊
Not a fan of broccoli, but my kids loved it. They can’t even tell it’s healthy! 😄
This is amazing! So cheesy and delicious! 😍
I burnt mine… 🙁 Not my best hour. Not sure I’ll try again.
So cheesy! Loved it! Used a store-bought crust, quick and easy.
The amount of broccoli is low, in my opinion. I like broccoli-heavy stuff, so I doubled it. Turned out great, just adjust the bake time.
I don’t know, maybe I did something wrong? Mine came out super soggy.
Soggy quiche? That’s rough! Maybe your broccoli was too watery or you didn’t bake it long enough? I’ve had that happen too.
Yummy! I loved it so much! I also added ham and it was even better!
My kids loved it! Just gotta make sure they don’t see the green stuff, haha!
Made this for brunch and it was *so* comforting. The cheddar flavor is perfect and the broccoli doesn’t get weirdly mushy. I baked mine closer to 45 min and it came out great.
I thought it was kinda bland. Needed more seasoning or something. 🤷♂️
I actually liked it! Maybe try adding some garlic or onion next time for extra flavor.
Yeah, I’ve heard that too. A pinch of cayenne pepper or even some herbs might help. Just saying!
Mine didn’t really “set” by 40 minutes, more like 55. I think my oven runs cool. After I extended the bake, it finally looked golden and sliceable. Still delicious.
This quiche is amazing! I love the combo of broccoli and cheddar. Followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfect!
Okay, confession: I didn’t chop the broccoli as small as suggested. Still tasted good though—just had larger bites. The crust stayed flaky enough for me, so no complaints!
Mmm, super cheesy! I used extra cheddar and it was DELISH. Thanks for the recipe!
I forgot to add the cheese…didn’t taste like much. Maybe I’ll try it again!
Definitely try it again! Cheese makes everything better. I love this recipe!
I didn’t have broccoli so I used spinach instead and it was great! Adaptable recipe.
I don’t know, man. Is spinach even close to broccoli? Aren’t they different, like really?
That’s awesome! Spinach is such a good substitute. I might try that next time too!
WOW! I made this for brunch and everyone loved it! It was gone in minutes! Will make again!
This quiche was amazing! I made it for brunch, and everyone loved it. The cheese and broccoli combo is a winner!
So glad you liked it! I love how the flavors come together. Perfect for brunch!
Quiche? More like quiche-uh because I love it! 🥳 Best dish ever!!!
Wasn’t that great honestly. The broccoli tasted weird with the cheese. I’m not sure if I did something wrong.
I tried making this but messed up the crust! 😩 Any tips for beginners?
Not bad but I messed up the cooking time and it was too dry. Gotta pay more attention next time.
This quiche is a game changer! Super easy to make and the kids loved it. They’ll never know it’s good for them! 🥦🥳
It’s a quiche, not a pie! Don’t put it in the pie crust!! Plus I thought it took too long to cook.
Nah, it’s not pie, it’s quiche! But I like em both. Different flavors, y’know? And 45 min is long, like you could go watch a show while it bakes.
Actually, it’s called a quiche because it traditionally uses a crust. And 40-45 mins is pretty common for baking! Maybe you just needed to check your oven temp.
Easy recipe but I forgot the salt! 😂 Still tasted okay tho, just a little flat.
Sooo good! I love how easy this was. Had it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Wow, sounds delicious! I’ve never thought of having quiche for all meals. Might try that too!
Yum yum!! This is a GREAT recipe for brunch. I added some bacon bits too! ❤️
Why do you need broccoli? You could just use any veg. Can’t be that special.
This quiche turned out fantastic! I added some ham and it was delicious!
It was okay, but I think I prefer my quiches with a bit more flavor. Maybe some herbs next time?
I thought it was flavorful enough. Quiche is meant to be subtle, right? Herbs?🤔 Nah.
I totally get you! Some herbs would definitely kick it up a notch. Maybe thyme or oregano? 🥦🧀
I like simple recipes, and this one is definitely that. Next time I might add a little onion or garlic, but the base is solid and the directions were easy to follow.
Good idea, but I’d add a bit more broccoli (or chop smaller). Mine was a little eggy and the filling didn’t feel super flavorful until I bumped up the pepper.
Can you use frozen broccoli instead? I’m not sure if fresh ones are necessary. Asking for my grandma, lol.
Soo good! I did half broccoli and half spinach, and it was delicious! Can’t wait to share this with my friends.
I don’t like certain vegetables, but this one was surprisingly good! Anyone else thought that? 🙂
I totally agree! I usually hate broccoli, but this quiche was delicious! Can’t believe I liked it so much! 😊
Yummy! But can I use almond milk instead? I have that at home.
So easy to make! My kids loved it and it’s a great way to sneak in veggies.
Simple and delicious! I felt like a chef making this. Thanks for sharing!
Very basic recipe. I expected more flavor. Needs garlic or something.
I totally get what you mean! Adding garlic or some herbs could really elevate this dish. Maybe try some thyme or even a touch of nutmeg for a twist?
Made this for my kids and they devoured it! Will make again for sure.
Easy peasy and delish. Perfect for a lazy weekend! 🥳
I totally agree! This quiche is so simple to make and tastes amazing. I love it! 👍
Easy… and tasty. 375 is the move 😄
It was kinda good, but I added some spices I had… not sure if I messed it up or not. 🤷♀️
Meh. It came out too soggy for me. Maybe I did something wrong, but it just wasn’t my favorite.
I had the same issue! I think it might be the moisture from the broccoli. Next time, I’ll try steaming it first before adding it to the mix.
Soggy? Really? I thought this was super yum! Maybe try baking it longer? I usually let it go for an extra 10 mins.
Yummy! My kids loved this!! We devoured it in one sitting!
So glad your kids loved it! It’s super easy and quick to make too. I’m trying this recipe again for the weekend!
Really? My kids found it too eggy. Maybe it’s just their taste… but I didn’t enjoy it that much.
I think the baking time was way off… mine burned at 40 minutes. Watch it closely!
Ugh, really? I followed the time exactly and it turned out perfect. Maybe ur oven is wacky?
I had the same issue! Mine started burning too. Definitely keep an eye on it!
The instructions were easy to follow but my crust got too crunchy. Any tips?
Honestly, I thought it would be bland. But it was super tasty! Will def make again.
I don’t get why people rave about quiche. It’s just eggs in a pie crust. Is that really special? 🤔
I followed it exactly and somehow my quiche came out watery on the inside. Not sure if I used too much milk or underbaked, but the top got golden before it felt set.
Ugh, that’s frustrating. If the top got golden but the center wasn’t set, it’s usually underbaked or the pie crust/fillings were a bit too wet. I’d try baking 5–10 minutes longer and check for a slight jiggle—like it should be set around the edges and only gently wobble in the middle. Also, did you pre-cook the broccoli? If you use very watery raw broccoli (or don’t thaw/drain if frozen), it can release moisture. Even a quick steam/sauté and squeezing out excess water helps a lot.
Fabulous recipe! My kids gobbled it up. I might add some bacon next time though.
Best quiche I ever made! I can’t believe how simple it was. 10/10.
Yum!!! 🥦🧀
Is there really a difference if I use frozen broccoli? Just asking.
I followed the time/temperature but mine came out a bit undercooked in the center at 40 minutes. Next time I’ll go closer to 45 and maybe cover the crust if it browns too early.
Pretty simple recipe. I got a little confused on the bake time tho. Oops!
This quiche was a hit at my brunch! The combo of broccoli and cheddar is so good. Will definitely make it again!
This quiche turned out amazing! I added some extra cheese because why not? Definitely making it again!
Quiche without fancy stuff feels kinda basic… but that said, it’s not bad at all. I used a store crust and it held up. Needs more cheese maybe?
Is there supposed to be onion in this? I thought all quiches had onion. I added some and it was awesome!
Wasn’t a fan. It needed more flavor or something, tasted bland.
This was tasty but a little bland for my taste. I ended up adding extra pepper and a pinch of nutmeg (chef friend told me to). Would make again with seasoning tweaks.
Broccoli is gross, but this quiche actually didn’t taste too bad.
I think Quiche is just fancy for egg pie??? Not my thing.
I get what you mean! It’s kinda like an egg custard in a crust, huh? But I love it! So creamy and cheesy!
What about using frozen broccoli? Would that work or is fresh better?
I didn’t even bother with the crust and made a crustless version. Still turned out great! Just a bit messy to slice.
Not sure about this combo—cheddar + quiche is okay, but I felt like it was kinda bland. Like, I used store cheddar and maybe that’s why. Salt and pepper felt too little.
I couldn’t figure out how to whisk eggs. Do I use a fork or a whisk? 🤔
I tried with almond milk instead of normal milk. Turned out super creamy! Thumbs up!
That sounds delicious! I’ve never tried almond milk in a quiche before, I’ll have to give it a go! 🙌
Why do people like broccoli? This quiche sounds weird. I’d rather stick to bacon and cheese.
This recipe is so quick! Perfect for a weekday dinner. Will make again for sure!
How can you call this a quiche without bacon? Needs more meat! 👎
Made this for brunch and it turned out so cheesy and comforting. The broccoli stayed nice and tender, not mushy. I used a pre-made crust and it was super fast—will definitely make again!
This quiche was absolutely delicious! The broccoli and cheddar combo is such a winner.
Quiche always sounds fancy, but it seems complicated to me. This recipe looks simple but I’m still skeptical.
I was skeptical too, but this turned out great! Just follow the steps, it’s easier than it looks!
I tried it and honestly it was okay. Not mind-blowing. Also my pie crust shrank a bit (probably my fault). Would I make it again? Maybe if I’m lazy and want something quick.
Yeah that sounds about right—mine was “solid” too, not fireworks. If the crust shrank, I’ve found it helps to dock it lightly and don’t stretch it into the pan. Also bake all the way until the center isn’t jiggly.
Simple & delicious! I used frozen broccoli cause I had no fresh. Still turned out great!
I’m glad to hear it turned out great! Frozen broccoli works just as well sometimes. Can’t wait to try it myself!
But, like, isn’t fresh supposed to be way better? I dunno if I’d trust frozen for a quiche…
Easy peasy! 🥦🧀
