Witch’s Finger Cheese Sticks

October 30, 2024

Finger cheese sticks are the ultimate crispy, gooey snack that’s loved by kids and adults alike. With a crunchy, golden exterior and melty cheese on the inside, they’re perfect for parties, game nights, or whenever you’re craving something salty and satisfying. Whether baked or fried, these cheesy bites are quick to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

The concept is simple: cheese sticks, usually mozzarella, are coated in a crispy breadcrumb layer that becomes beautifully golden when cooked. The key to the perfect cheese stick is getting that balance between a crunchy outside and a stretchy, melted inside. The contrast in texture is what makes them so addictive.

Finger cheese sticks are incredibly versatile and easy to customize. You can season the breadcrumb coating with garlic powder, paprika, Italian herbs, or even a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick. Some versions use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch, while others stick to traditional fine breadcrumbs for a smoother crust. For extra flavor, a touch of parmesan can be mixed into the coating.

These Finger cheese sticks pair perfectly with dipping sauces. Marinara is a classic choice, offering a tangy contrast to the richness of the cheese. But they’re also fantastic with ranch, garlic aioli, honey mustard, or even a bit of spicy sriracha mayo for those who like a little heat.

Not only are they a great appetizer or snack, but finger cheese sticks are also fun to serve alongside other finger foods like fries, sliders, or veggie sticks. They’re easy to prepare ahead of time, simply assemble them and freeze until ready to cook. This prevents the cheese from leaking out while cooking and makes them even crispier straight from the oven or fryer.

Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and endlessly dippable, finger cheese sticks are the kind of snack that disappears fast. Whether you’re hosting friends, looking for an after-school snack, or just treating yourself, they never disappoint.

So cool! I used to make these with my grandma when I was little! Brings back good memories. ❤️

  2. User avatar MAGA2024.Trumpster says:

Not gonna lie, the “almond fingernails” is the best part. I used one almond per stick like it said and pressed them on firmly. They came out golden and looked hilarious.

  3. 3 stars
This is just mozzarella and breading. Not special at all. 🤷‍♂️

    1. User avatar stanton.terry4 says:

      4 stars
I think it’s a fun twist on cheese sticks! The almond fingernails add a spooky touch. 🎃

  4. User avatar mary.prosacco says:

    3 stars
Meh, they’re just cheese sticks. I mean how special can they be? Not impressed.

  5. 1 star
Why would you want to eat something that looks like a finger? Gross!

  6. User avatar sung.konopelski says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but I burnt some of them. Next time I’ll watch them closer. Cooking timing is key!

  7. 5 stars
These were creepy-cute! The almond “nails” made it perfect for Halloween. Crunchy outside, gooey inside—huge hit.

  8. User avatar Vincenzo Reichert says:

    4 stars
I was skeptical about almonds on cheese sticks, but they really do look like nails. Taste is mostly mozzarella and bread crumbs, so it works.

  9. User avatar abraham.swift10 says:

    5 stars
These are so creepy and fun! Perfect for a Halloween party! 🎃

  10. User avatar wm.powlowski88 says:

    3 stars
I never fry stuff, seems too complicated. Can’t i just bake them? 🤔

  11. User avatar lanelle.miller says:

    4 stars
Made these for my kids and they loved it! They thought it was hilarious! 😂

  12. 2 stars
Why almonds?? I get the concept, but mine tasted a little bitter. I might use slivered almonds next time or swap in something else for the “nails.”

  13. 3 stars
Tried this recipe, but my cheese melted too much and it was a gooey mess! Might need to adjust the frying time.

  14. User avatar yadira.weissnat10 says:

    3 stars
Mine browned fast on the outside but stayed soft in the middle. I probably had the oil too hot—should have gone slower.

    1. User avatar augustus.dietrich1961 says:

      5 stars
That sounds like the oil was a bit too hot—your instinct is right. Next time try medium/medium-low and give them a little more time so the inside can actually melt before the outside over-browns.

  15. 2 stars
I tried it, but my oil sputtered like crazy and I burned the first batch. Probably needed lower heat and to dry the sticks more. I was annoyed, but the second batch was decent.

    1. 4 stars
I think 3-4 minutes each sounds too fast for my pan. I’d do lower heat longer and don’t crowd them. Mine never burns if I wait for the oil to calm down first… also, the almonds as fingernails are kinda cursed lol.

    2. User avatar jerrold.gutmann says:

      5 stars
Oof, that oil sputtering is the worst 😩 Next time try patting the sticks extra dry + use medium-low heat. Also make sure the coating is thick—those little cracks let cheese leak and cause chaos.

  16. User avatar rodolfo.waelchi91 says:

    5 stars
The almond idea is genius. It makes them look realistic, and guests were cracking jokes before even tasting them. Would make again for parties.

  17. 4 stars
I made these for a party, and everyone just loved them! They looked creepy but were so delicious.

  18. 3 stars
I followed it mostly, but I think I under-fried them because they leaked cheese a bit. Still tasty though—crispy outside, chewy inside.

    1. User avatar cristopher.bergnaum49 says:

      5 stars
Totally makes sense—cheese can leak if the outside isn’t sealed well enough. Next time, try frying a touch longer or making sure the coating is really thick and dry before the eggs/breadcrumbs. Still, “crispy outside, chewy inside” sounds like you were close!

  19. User avatar lenard.torp says:

    5 stars
Easy and fun! My family kept calling them creepy fingers and eating them anyway. The breading texture was on point. 10/10 would recommend.

    1. User avatar alton.lesch10 says:

      5 stars
Hahaha “creepy fingers” is exactly the vibe 😂 Love that the breading texture nailed it—I’m definitely doing this for our next movie night.

  20. 4 stars
I didn’t have marinara, so I used ranch instead. Still delicious! Good, even if not traditional.

    1. 4 stars
Ranch? That’s an interesting twist! I might have to try it that way. What kind of ranch did you use?

    2. User avatar latosha.schultz says:

      2 stars
Sounds weird lol. Cheese sticks with ranch ain’t right. Stick to the classic marinara!

  21. User avatar pura.kovacek says:

    3 stars
I followed it pretty closely, but mine leaked cheese anyway. I’m thinking I didn’t get the coating thick enough or the oil was a bit too hot. Still tasted great though.

  22. User avatar kendall.haag says:

    5 stars
These are super fun for Halloween! My kids loved them, and they tasted great too! Will definitely make again.

  23. User avatar hal.hirthe93 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but the seasoned bread crumbs were kinda overpowering. I’d cut back on seasoning or use plain crumbs so the mozzarella flavor comes through more.

  24. User avatar Ryuu Shenlong says:

    2 stars
I tried it, but the cheese leaked out and the coating fell off. I’m thinking the mozzarella was too soft or the oil wasn’t hot enough. Still tasty—just looked sad.

  25. User avatar alaine.gutkowski says:

    4 stars
You can make these with cheddar too! Cheddar finger sticks are the best. But yeah, mozzarella works too.

  26. User avatar jamaal.schamberger says:

    4 stars
What a creative idea! I’m definitely making these for our spooky party! 🎃

    1. 5 stars
Awesome idea! I love how festive these look. Perfect for Halloween! 🎉

  27. User avatar derrick.yundt53 says:

    4 stars
Soooo good! The kids loved helping me make these. Will definitely make again. 😋

  28. User avatar Nick Grimes says:

    3 stars
I love mozzarella sticks, but why the almonds? Seems unnecessary to me.

  29. User avatar albert.mann34 says:

    3 stars
The recipe is good, but 2 cups of seasoned bread crumbs feels like overkill for only 12 sticks unless your coating is *really* thick. I ended up with a lot left over.

    1. User avatar joe_banana says:

      4 stars
I actually like the thick coating for these because the mozzarella can leak a bit. Still… I’d probably start with 1.5 cups next time.

    2. 4 stars
I agree—2 cups is a lot for 12 sticks unless you really go heavy on the crumb layer. I used less and it still browned nicely.

  30. User avatar keven.klocko1992 says:

    2 stars
I think my oil temp was too low because they turned greasy and the cheese leaked. Still tasted good, just not the nice solid stick shape. Next time I’ll chill them before frying.

  31. User avatar Spider Worker says:

    3 stars
Wut kind of cheese is this? I used cheddar ’cause that’s all I had. Still pretty good, lol.

  32. User avatar justin.bode65 says:

    2 stars
WHAT? Cheese and almonds? Sounds weird but I guess I’ll try it.

  33. 4 stars
Yum! But the almonds made it hard to eat! The kids got scared. 😂

  34. 5 stars
These are such a fun idea for Halloween! I made them for a party and they were a hit! 🎃

  35. 2 stars
I followed it exactly and still the cheese leaked out 😩. I think I should’ve frozen the sticks before frying. The outside was delicious though, so I’ll try again with chilling.

  36. User avatar Dremora Lord says:

    5 stars
These looked so cute for Halloween! Kids loved them and gobbled them up. 🙂

    1. 5 stars
So glad to hear your kids loved them! They’re perfect for a spooky snack. 🎃

    2. User avatar Dan Streetmentioner says:

      3 stars
I tried making these but found the mozzarella melted too fast! What did I do wrong?

  37. User avatar Elda Hayes says:

    2 stars
Honestly… I didn’t get the “fingernail” look. The almond popped off in the fryer like it didn’t wanna be part of Halloween. Flavor was fine.

  38. User avatar Grunthos the Flatulent says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, it’s a little messy. Also I used regular breadcrumbs and it wasn’t as good. If you’re making these, season the crumbs for sure.

  39. User avatar anonymous_hacker says:

    4 stars
Easy recipe, and the timing is right—golden brown in 3-4 minutes. I like that it doesn’t overcomplicate the steps. My only change was adding a pinch of garlic powder to the coating.

    1. User avatar Gail Andrews says:

      3 stars
Hmm 3-4 minutes seems a little fast to me, unless your oil is really hot. I tried something like this once and the outside got brown but the cheese wasn’t fully melty 😅 Still though, adding garlic powder to the crumbs makes sense.

    2. User avatar Gibdo Man says:

      5 stars
Totally agree—simple steps and that “golden brown in 3–4 minutes” part is spot on. The garlic powder idea sounds amazing with the marinara too!

  40. User avatar Eccentrica Gallumbits says:

    2 stars
I don’t understand why you’d use almonds for nails. Isn’t that a little weird? 👀

    1. User avatar Mrs. Marie says:

      4 stars
It’s just a fun touch! They look like witch’s fingers, which fits the theme. 🎃

    2. User avatar Hotblack Desiato's bodyguard says:

      5 stars
Weird? Nah, it’s creative! Plus, almonds are healthy, right? 😂

  41. User avatar ellis.klein says:

    2 stars
Didn’t turn out like the pic… maybe I need to watch a YouTube video first? 🤷‍♀️

  42. User avatar suzanne.lehner says:

    3 stars
I think the amount of flour is off, they didn’t get as crunchy as I wanted.

  43. User avatar nestor.jakubowski39 says:

    4 stars
Yummy! I added some spices to the bread crumbs, really upped the flavor!

  44. 5 stars
This recipe is amazing! I made them for my kids, and they couldn’t stop eating. Will make again!

  45. User avatar willie.schulist77 says:

    5 stars
These are so fun for Halloween! I made them for a party and they were a hit. Can’t believe how easy too! 5 stars!

    1. User avatar basilia.jacobson1959 says:

      5 stars
Sounds awesome! I love making fun holiday recipes. Can’t wait to try this!

    2. User avatar frederic.shanahan64 says:

      2 stars
But like, cheese sticks? For Halloween? Aren’t we supposed to have spooky treats? I dunno…

  46. User avatar elisabeth.raynor47 says:

    1 star
Really? Cheese sticks with nails? Seems gross. Not sure what you are thinking with this recipe. 1 star!

  47. User avatar michael.mann1959 says:

    4 stars
Not bad, but I prefer baked mozzarella sticks. Frying tasted a bit greasy for me, even though they were crunchy. Marinara was perfect though.

  48. User avatar Saruman the White says:

    4 stars
I used cheddar instead of mozzarella. Is that wrong? Tasted fine to me.

  49. User avatar Elene Bradtke says:

    5 stars
Really easy to make! I added some spices to the breadcrumbs, and it gave them an extra kick.

  50. User avatar lavelle.wilderman2009 says:

    4 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the thick coating, but it worked. Mine were a tiny bit greasy (oil temp was probably low). Next time I’ll wait for the oil to get hotter.

  51. User avatar monroe.ebert says:

    5 stars
My kids loved these. They kept calling them witch fingers and I didn’t even have to sell it. Next time I’ll double the bread crumbs for a thicker shell.

    1. 5 stars
Aww that’s adorable 😂 “witch fingers” is such a good name. Doubling the bread crumbs makes sense for that extra crunch shell too—will try next time!

  52. User avatar nickolas.haley18 says:

    4 stars
Mine didn’t stay “fingery” at all—almonds slid off a bit. Flavor was still great though. Next time I’m gonna press the almond harder and maybe chill the sticks before frying.

  53. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    2 stars
Tasty but took too long to make! Ain’t nobody got time for that. I’ll stick to normal cheese sticks next time.

  54. User avatar marchelle.ratke says:

    2 stars
Not sure about these. The almonds for nails looked weird. Why not use something else?

  55. User avatar mathWizard says:

    4 stars
Honestly, I thought this was gonna be silly but they taste great! Perfect for movie night! 4/5.

    1. User avatar george.hoppe says:

      5 stars
I can’t believe this turned out so good! My kids were scared at first, but they loved them! Will definitely make again! 5/5.

  56. 2 stars
I tried to make these but they turned out soggy. I don’t know what I did wrong. 😟

  57. User avatar tristan.predovic says:

    5 stars
These are super fun for Halloween! I made them last year and they were a hit at my party. Will definitely make again!

  58. User avatar wellRespected says:

    5 stars
This recipe is bomb! I made a giant batch and they disappeared fast!

  59. User avatar seymour.windler15 says:

    1 star
Isn’t this just fried cheese? I thought it was something special.

  60. 3 stars
I dunno, they kinda look gross. Didn’t taste bad tho.

  61. User avatar jere.tremblay20 says:

    5 stars
These came out super crunchy on the outside and gooey inside—exactly what I wanted. I used a thicker bread crumb coating and it stayed crispy even after dipping in marinara. Definitely making again.

    1. User avatar nyla.yundt2019 says:

      5 stars
Omg yes—crispy outside + melty inside is the dream. I love that you got them to stay crunchy even with the marinara. 🔥

    2. User avatar jeffie.walker60 says:

      4 stars
Mine usually go soft when I dip too, so “stayed crispy” sounds like magic lol. Do you freeze them before frying or is it just the thicker breadcrumb coat?

  62. User avatar darrin.auer7 says:

    1 star
I think I did it wrong. They were soggy and not crispy at all. No idea what I missed!

  63. User avatar guadalupe.rau says:

Witch’s fingers? More like witch’s sticky wands! Haha, super fun!

    1. User avatar jeff.nicolas35 says:

Haha, love the name! These would be perfect for a Halloween party! Can’t wait to try making them!

  64. User avatar bettie.carter25 says:

Looks like something outta a horror movie. I’m down to make these for my kids! They’ll love the spooky fingers!

    1. User avatar fallon.kihn62 says:

      2 stars
I dunno, they look kinda gross. Who would eat something that looks like a severed finger? 🤔

    2. 5 stars
Haha, spooky fingers sound great for Halloween! My kids are gonna love these! 🎃

  65. 3 stars
Honestly, who would want to eat something that looks like a fingernail? I was skeptical, but they turned out okay. Just a bit creepy.

  66. User avatar chong.wolf68 says:

    5 stars
These are so creepy and fun! Perfect for a Halloween party. Everyone loved them!

  67. User avatar carlos.johnson80 says:

Yummy! I added some spices to the breadcrumbs. So good!

  68. User avatar abe.haley3 says:

Witch’s fingers? More like witch’s snacks! So good!

  69. User avatar christiane.gislason78 says:

    3 stars
Not gonna lie, the instructions are kinda confusing with the “12 whole almonds” thing—like do I bake them first? I just used raw almonds and it was… crunchy? Still tasty, but I’m not sure about the nail vibe.

    1. User avatar Treebeard says:

      3 stars
Wait… “12 whole almonds” feels like a step 0 I missed. I assumed toasted/roasted almonds first, but the recipe doesn’t say anything. I used raw and yeah they stayed hard, not bad but definitely not “nail-y” in a good way.

    2. 4 stars
I did the “12 whole almonds” raw like the recipe says and they browned a bit—still worked. I think they just stick on the end for the look, not bake first. Crunch city though 😅

  70. User avatar manual.keebler says:

    4 stars
I mixed up the order, put the almond on after frying and it just looked like blobs. still tasted fine tho, so I give it a 4.

    1. 3 stars
Blobs? I don’t think that matters if it tasted good, right? Just enjoy the food!

    2. 4 stars
Sounds like a fun twist! But maybe next time, try attaching the almonds before frying? Just a thought!

  71. User avatar moshe.bergstrom57 says:

    2 stars
Flour, eggs, cheese, but like when do I put them together? It sounds confusing!

  72. User avatar clair.swift1993 says:

    5 stars
These came out super crispy and fun to make. The almond “nails” are such a cute Halloween touch—my kids wouldn’t stop snacking on them. Marinara helped a lot too.

  73. User avatar lupe.schmitt3 says:

    3 stars
Not bad, but my coating got a little weird—some spots slid off while frying. I think I didn’t press hard enough after the egg. Still edible and tasty though.

    1. 5 stars
That makes sense—if the coating slid, it’s usually not pressed enough after the egg (or the cheese got a little warm). Next time, try freezing the sticks 15–20 min before frying and really pack the crumbs on. Also make sure the oil is hot-hot so they set fast.

  74. User avatar Darrell B. Moore says:

    4 stars
Delicious! But I would recommend adding some spices to the breadcrumbs for more flavor.

    1. User avatar stanley.hackett1985 says:

      3 stars
Spices? I thought the cheese would be enough flavor. But, sure, why not? I might try it.

    2. User avatar myrtle.okon78 says:

      5 stars
Great idea! I never thought about adding spices. What do you suggest?

  75. User avatar daniella.feil3 says:

    1 star
These were a disaster for me, sorry. The coating fell off and the cheese exploded everywhere. Probably my breadcrumbs weren’t seasoned enough (or my oil was too cold).

  76. 4 stars
The ingredient list is weirdly written (units, like “2 units eggs” and “as needed unit oil”), but I figured it out. Recipe still worked—my kid loved the witch theme.

  77. User avatar luis.greenfelder says:

    3 stars
Mine got too dark at 3–4 minutes because my oil was hotter than medium. I’d say watch closely and maybe turn down the heat sooner.

  78. User avatar nola.frami50 says:

    4 stars
Witch’s Finger?! 😂 The shape is spot on and the seasoned bread crumbs really pop. Next time I’ll freeze them before frying to keep everything from melting out.

  79. User avatar jocelyn.erdman says:

    4 stars
Yum! These are surprisingly good. Would make again. #Halloween

    1. User avatar grant.weber49 says:

      2 stars
Are you sure these are good? Looks kinda weird to me. I prefer regular cheese sticks.

    2. User avatar trang.conroy7 says:

      5 stars
I made these last year for my kids’ Halloween party and they loved them! Super easy to do too. 😄

  80. User avatar lasandra.reinger88 says:

    4 stars
I was nervous about frying time, but 3-4 minutes was perfect on medium heat. Marinara dip was a must. Super tasty and weirdly fun for Halloween night 😄

  81. 3 stars
Why almonds?? I mean it looks fun, but they’re kinda bitter if you don’t prep them. I used toasted almonds and it tasted way better.

  82. User avatar margarita.lakin says:

    1 star
Witch fingers? Really? How is that even appetizing? 😂

  83. User avatar kendall.trantow4 says:

    2 stars
Why does it say “unit oil”? Like… how much oil is “as needed”? I used too little and they stuck. Next time I’ll deep fry properly.

  84. User avatar Dennis Treutel says:

    3 stars
I followed it exactly and somehow the almonds tasted kinda weird? Like bitter? Maybe I should’ve used blanched almonds or toasted them first. The rest was great.

  85. User avatar shellie.schroeder says:

    5 stars
Y’all these are AMAZING! My kids loved it and so did I, went great with the marinara. Will share with my friends!

  86. User avatar margaret.shields85 says:

    4 stars
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about frying without freezing first. But they still turned out golden and not greasy. Marinara dip is clutch.

    1. 5 stars
I’m with you—frying without freezing sounds wrong, but if the breading is thick and the oil temp is right, it can actually hold up. The almond “fingernails” are such a fun touch!

    2. 2 stars
I tried this once and mine leaked cheese everywhere 😭 Maybe I didn’t coat thick enough. Also, do you mean 3-inch sticks or 3-inch slices? My measurements were like… chaotic lol.

  87. User avatar Super Saiyan 2 Goku says:

    5 stars
OMG I love them!! These were so good, I feel like a witch in the kitchen. Haha!

  88. User avatar ArabianNights says:

    5 stars
These turned out AWESOME—crispy outside, melty inside. The almond “fingernail” thing is such a fun touch. I’d do slightly thicker bread crumb coating next time, but 5 stars!

  89. User avatar celine.dooley says:

    2 stars
I tried this and it didn’t turn out like the picture. The sticks were mushy. Not impressed.

    1. 3 stars
Mushy? I think it’s a cooking issue, not the recipe! You gotta make sure that oil is sizzling hot!

    2. User avatar Erwin Treutel says:

      4 stars
I’m sorry to hear that! Maybe the oil wasn’t hot enough? That can really affect the texture. 😕

  90. User avatar serita.turner says:

    4 stars
I thought the frying time would be longer because mine browned fast but wasn’t fully melty. Tried again at a slightly lower heat and they came out way better.

  91. 2 stars
I used the “almond fingernails” and it looked hilarious, but the almonds kinda toasted too much. Also, I ran out of oil and had to do smaller batches. Texture was okay.

  92. User avatar nicholas.schinner45 says:

    1 star
Too much oil! I don’t like frying.

Spooky name, but these were actually super good. The coating stayed crunchy even after dipping in marinara. I used regular sliced almonds and it looked exactly like “fingernails” 😄

Super fun party snack. I served them with extra marinara and people kept taking “just one more.” I’ll make these again next Halloween.

Lol I tried this and mine kinda leaked cheese… maybe my oil was too hot? Still tasted good and the kids loved it. Also I only had sliced almonds so I did what I could 😅

These are SUCH a hit 😄 I did a double-dip on the coating like you said and they stayed crispy the whole time. The almond “fingernails” killed me (in the best way).

Honestly I don’t know why people do this. Almond on cheese sticks sounds weird, and the measurements are weird too (like “2 units eggs”??). But I’ll give it a shot for fun.

Wow I didn’t expect mozzarella to taste this good with seasoned bread crumbs. Mine looked kinda Frankenstein-ish but in a good way. Great snack, 10/10 would try for a party.

Haha “Frankenstein-ish but in a good way” is the perfect vibe. I also love how the seasoned bread crumbs punch up the mozzarella. Def trying this for our next get-together—thanks!

    2. 3 stars
Not gonna lie, mine didn’t stick as well—crumbs fell off and the almonds kinda slid. Maybe my oil temp was too low? But the flavor was still good. Would make again, just need better coating control.

I made them for Halloween and the “fingernail” almonds were a hit 😂. Flavor is basically classic mozzarella sticks, just more fun. Would definitely do again.

The instructions are fine, but you forgot to say how hot the oil should be. I guessed and half my batch burned and half didn’t. Also, almonds as fingernails?? Some people will be like… why. 😅

5-star for creativity. The “fingernail” almonds are such a detail. Kids at my party kept stealing them 😅

Haha that detail is genius—“fingernails” always steal the show. 😂 I bet the almond crunch with the melty cheese is so good. 5 stars from me too!

These were so fun to make—my kitchen smelled like a pizzeria and Halloween at the same time. The almond “fingernail” gimmick actually held up during frying too. 10/10 dip them in extra marinara.

Okay but… my coating kept falling off. I guess I didn’t press firmly enough after the egg. Could be the cheese was too warm too.

Not gonna lie, the directions feel a little chaotic. Like… medium heat frying for 3-4 minutes? Could be longer depending on your oil temp. I burnt two before I got the hang of it.

I think it’s just medium heat plus watching the color? I did 3 min and they came out perfect. Also maybe your oil temp was low if you burnt two… or the coating was too thick?

    2. User avatar luke.block1989 says:

Totally agree—3-4 minutes felt way too vague for me too. I ended up doing like 5-6 mins and it was much better once my oil was actually hot. Chaos is real 😅

These came out super crispy! The breading actually stayed put, and the marinara dip was perfect. I did need to fry in smaller batches though so they didn’t go soggy.

    1. 5 stars
Mine came out crispy too! 😄 I also found batches matter—if I overcrowd, the coating gets soft fast. Great call on thick breading.

  104. 5 stars
Delicious! Whole family asked for more. I even added a pinch of garlic powder to the crumbs and it leveled up the flavor. Definitely making again.

Soo good! I served them with extra marinara and everyone kept asking how I made them. Also, the coating stayed crispy even after a few minutes.

  106. 4 stars
Honestly, the coating got crispy, but mine leaked a little cheese after 2 minutes. I think my oil wasn’t hot enough. Still tasty though—would make again with higher heat.

Didn’t have almonds so I used peanuts… still went fast! 3 stars.

Not gonna lie, this is why I love Halloween food. The breading was nice and crunchy. I used a thermometer and it helped a lot.

  109. 3 stars
The “fingernail” idea is hilarious, but I’m not sure about pressing almonds onto hot cheese sticks… felt risky, lol. Still turned out okay though.

    1. 5 stars
Honestly the almond “fingernails” are the funniest part 😂 I was worried too, but if you press them gently and don’t overcrowd the pan they seem to stay put. Glad yours came out okay!

These were creepy-cute in the best way. The almond “nails” actually stayed put for me (pressed them in pretty firm). Crunchy outside, melty inside—great with marinara.
