Kinda confused by the flour step—do you dredge everything evenly? I did it lightly and the coating wasn’t as crisp, but the flavor was still good.

    1. User avatar arden.thiel52 says:

      4 stars
I usually skip the flour too, so I’m with you 😅 Mine were more soft/delicate. Next time I’ll try coating a bit heavier and see if it crisps up. Also, do you fry on medium heat like the recipe says? I once did hotter and it browned fast but stayed kind of weird inside.

    2. User avatar rickiestmorty says:

      5 stars
Yep—Step 4 is basically “lightly but thoroughly” dredging. I give them a quick roll in the flour until every side has a thin even coat, then shake off the extra. If the flour’s spotty, the outside won’t get that crisp shell.

  2. User avatar demetrice.reinger23 says:

    3 stars
I think I overcooked them 😅. Still tasted good, just drier than I wanted. Keep an eye on the color, golden brown is real.

    1. User avatar Dwarven Centurion says:

      4 stars
Ahh I get that 😅 Golden brown is the target, but yeah they can dry out fast. Next time try pulling them a touch earlier and don’t let them sit too long after frying. Also, maybe a slightly wetter mix (a bit more mayo) could help keep them tender.

  3. User avatar cherie.powlowski68 says:

    1 star
I tried to make these for my kids, but they just threw them away. I guess they like nuggets better. 😔

  4. User avatar tissues_with_issues says:

    3 stars
Honestly, I don’t like turkey much but these were OK. Still prefer chicken though.

    1. User avatar myrtie.collins says:

      4 stars
I get that! Chicken is more flavorful than turkey for sure. But these croquettes are still worth a try, especially with that garlic. 😋

  5. User avatar rick.wuckert74 says:

    3 stars
5/5? maybe for kids. for grown ups i think it needs more seasoning, like more salt or garlic. also frying smells up the whole house.

  6. User avatar Traveling Merchants says:

    2 stars
Wasn’t a fan, honestly tasted kinda bland. Maybe needs more spices?

  7. 3 stars
Too oily for my taste, but my kids devoured them. Next time I’ll bake instead. 3 stars.

  8. User avatar Nickolas Leannon IV says:

    3 stars
I’m skeptical about the mayo in here. Ended up working, but I was expecting more of a ‘cheesy’ flavor than I got.

    1. User avatar Wellington Yueh says:

      4 stars
Fair point—mayo can mute that cheesy vibe since it’s more for binding and richness than for flavor. If you want it more “cheesy,” you might bump the Parmesan a bit (or add a little shredded mozzarella) and salt/pepper to taste. Also, if your croquettes weren’t very browned, the cheese flavor won’t really pop.

  9. User avatar dirk.casper1987 says:

    2 stars
The recipe looks easy but I mess up the frying part. They ended up burnt and not crispy. Not sure if I’ll try again.

  10. User avatar brad.stoltenberg80 says:

    2 stars
I tried making them but the patties kept falling apart when I flipped. I think my mixture was too wet from the mayo?

  11. User avatar robin.langworth17 says:

    2 stars
1/4 cup oil for frying? or is that per batch? I think I read wrong lol. Mine were a bit greasy but still good. Please clarify next time.

    1. User avatar Dustin Quitzon says:

      4 stars
Yeah I’d say you probably used a bit too much/too little heat. I usually add just enough oil to lightly coat the bottom and then drain on paper towels—less greasy that way.

    2. User avatar Morgan Thiel says:

      5 stars
Good question! The 1/4 cup vegetable oil is the amount for the skillet per batch—so if you’re doing multiple batches, you may need a splash more each time to keep frying consistent.

  12. 3 stars
Couldn’t get that ‘crispy’ part—mine were more like fried turkey balls. Tasted fine, just not the texture I expected.

  13. User avatar jarvis.koss42 says:

    2 stars
I messed up and forgot to dredge in flour, so they sort of fell apart in the pan 😅 Still ate them though—kind of like turkey patties. Will try again with the flour.

  14. 2 stars
Why do you need to use turkey? Chicken works too, right? Just seems like a waste of turkey.

  15. 4 stars
Not gonna lie, croquettes feel a little fussy, but this wasn’t too bad. Frying takes attention though—keep an eye or they brown fast.

    1. 4 stars
Totally agree—croquettes can be pretty fussy. I made these once and they went from “golden” to “oops” way faster than I expected, so that frying step is everything.

  16. User avatar aleta.thiel18 says:

    5 stars
These turkey croquettes are so good! I made them for lunch and my family devoured them in minutes!

  17. User avatar nestor.jacobi says:

    4 stars
Wow, this recipe takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen! She always made turkey croquettes, but I never got her secret. Thanks for sharing!

    1. User avatar Lunkwill and Fook says:

      5 stars
Aww, that’s so sweet! I love that it reminds you of your grandma. Can’t wait to try making these myself!

  18. User avatar Falmer Gloomlurker says:

    3 stars
Gonna try these with chicken since I don’t have turkey. Hope it works out! Anyone else tried chicken instead?

  19. User avatar carol.ankunding says:

    5 stars
I don’t usually cook with mayo but wow—binds everything really well. Mine stayed together better than when I made similar croquettes before.

  20. User avatar tracey.buckridge says:

    4 stars
I didn’t have parsley so I used dried oregano… still okay, but not the same vibe. Also, frying took longer than 3-4 minutes per side for my pan.

  21. User avatar jarod.muller92 says:

    3 stars
My grandma made something like this. But it was with chicken not turkey. I feel like the taste is different? Just me? 🤔

    1. User avatar Shaddam Corrino IV says:

      4 stars
I totally get where you’re coming from! Chicken definitely has a different flavor profile. But turkey croquettes are yummy in their own way! 😋

  22. User avatar concepcion.kihn75 says:

    3 stars
Doesn’t this require a bit too much mayonnaise? I feel like it could be overwhelming for some people.

  23. User avatar johnna.sipes1994 says:

    2 stars
Honestly, mine fell apart when I flipped them. I wonder if I didn’t chill the patties long enough or if I used flour incorrectly. Still ate them though lol.

  24. User avatar ArabianNights says:

    3 stars
I think the ratio of turkey to breadcrumbs is off. My croquettes ended up too dry. Might try adding more mayo next time.

  25. User avatar russell.tillman says:

    3 stars
Instructions are too complicated with frying and all. I just wanted something simple!

  26. User avatar clemencia.fisher78 says:

    5 stars
Yum! These are a hit! I paired them with homemade ranch dip. Will definitely make again! 🥳

  27. User avatar elton.jacobi7 says:

    2 stars
Croquettes… sure. But the measurements feel a bit random. Like 1/2 cup breadcrumbs with no mention of moisture—my mixture was dry and I had to add a splash more mayo.

    1. User avatar Herschel Fisher says:

      5 stars
Totally get you—breadcrumbs can act super differently depending on brand and how moist the turkey is. I’ve had them turn dry too; adding a little extra mayo or even a spoon of water/stock usually brings it back together.

  28. 5 stars
These came out so crispy! I added a little extra garlic and they still held together perfectly. Great way to use leftover turkey.

  29. User avatar rusty.daniel says:

    5 stars
These turkey croquettes are a game changer! I made them last night and my family loved them! 👏 5 stars!

  30. User avatar gwyn.crona1988 says:

    3 stars
Can I bake these instead of frying? I hate oil in my food.

    1. User avatar Mr. Denese VonRueden says:

      4 stars
Sure, you can bake them! Just preheat your oven to 400°F and bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway. They might not be as crispy but it’s healthier!

    2. User avatar billy.medhurst says:

      2 stars
Nuh uh! It won’t taste the same if you bake. Frying is best for croquettes, otherwise they be soggy or bland.

  31. User avatar colby.luettgen24 says:

    3 stars
A little too much mayo for me. Next time I’ll cut back on that.

  32. User avatar kirby.romaguera65 says:

    1 star
What’s wrong with using chicken instead of turkey? They would work the same and be cheaper!

  33. User avatar oPandariaNo says:

    2 stars
I dunno about these. My turkey turned out dry and the mixture was hard to shape. Maybe I did it wrong? 2/5

    1. User avatar Woodrow Kuhn says:

      2 stars
Hmmm, I think you might have overcooked the turkey. Even if you don’t have turkey, you can use chicken! It’s all good if you get it moist. 1/5 for you!

    2. User avatar jamison.wintheiser2021 says:

      4 stars
I had the same issue! The mixture was super sticky for me too. Maybe try letting it chill in the fridge for a bit before shaping? Hope that helps! 🍗

  34. 3 stars
I dunno, they didn’t come out as crispy as I expected. Maybe I need to fry them longer?

  35. User avatar wellRespected says:

    4 stars
Easy recipe, but mine fell apart while frying. What did I do wrong?

  36. User avatar elisha.gottlieb89 says:

    2 stars
My croquettes fell apart in the pan. I’m guessing the oil wasn’t hot enough and the flour coating didn’t set. Anyone have tips?

    1. 5 stars
Yeah, oil temp is usually the culprit. Try heating the oil a bit hotter (closer to medium-high) and don’t move them for the first 1-2 minutes so the outside can set. Also, make sure they’re packed firmly when you shape—if they’re loose, they’ll break. Quick fix: chill the formed croquettes 20-30 minutes before dredging/frying.

  37. User avatar richie.rodriguez says:

    5 stars
Quick and tasty! The garlic really makes a difference. I love the crunchiness!

  38. User avatar carmelia.stokes says:

    5 stars
These turned out *so* crispy outside and still juicy inside. I used a little extra garlic and it was perfect with a spicy mayo dip. Will make again.

  39. User avatar keisha.jones40 says:

    5 stars
I made these for dinner and everyone went back for seconds. The texture is honestly like a fancy appetizer without being hard. Love it.

  40. User avatar cassy.gottlieb4 says:

    5 stars
Delicious! My mom always made these but never with turkey. Will make ’em again!

    1. User avatar margert.jenkins says:

      3 stars
Turkey in croquettes? Isn’t that a bit weird? I prefer chicken, but maybe I’ll give it a try.

    2. 5 stars
That’s awesome! I love how recipes bring back memories. Turkey sounds like a tasty twist!

  41. User avatar Santos Macejkovic says:

    5 stars
These turkey croquettes are amazing! I made them for dinner and my kids devoured them. Definitely making these again!

  42. User avatar ernesto.berge says:

    2 stars
Idk… I tried these and they came out kinda bland and greasy. Like, the flour dredge was okay, but the inside tasted flat. Maybe I’m missing a sauce? Any recommendations?

  43. User avatar Oscar Okuneva says:

    1 star
Why do you need parmesan? It’s not real Italian if you don’t use real cheese. Just saying. 1/5

    1. User avatar noelle.beahan35 says:

      5 stars
Real Italian or not, these croquettes look yummy! Parmesan gives it a nice flavor. Don’t be so harsh! 5/5

  44. User avatar Allison MacGyver says:

    3 stars
I’ve never fried anything in my life! Can I bake these instead? Would they still taste good?

    1. User avatar torrie.herzog94 says:

      4 stars
You can definitely bake them! Just make sure to brush them with some oil to help them get crispy. They should still taste great!

  45. User avatar rich.landlord says:

    4 stars
I was skeptical about using turkey instead of chicken, but these turned out great! Way better than I expected.

  46. User avatar florencia.smitham8 says:

    4 stars
Not bad at all! My first batch came out slightly soft, but I think I didn’t press them firmly enough. Second batch was way better.

  47. User avatar rafael.ledner2014 says:

    2 stars
Sorry but mine were greasy 😕. Maybe my oil was too hot or I didn’t drain enough. Still ate them tho.

    1. User avatar liane.brakus says:

      4 stars
Oof, greasy croquettes are the worst 😕. Your hunch sounds right—oil too hot (or too cool) can mess with the crisping. Also make sure you’re really drying after the paper towels and not overcrowding the pan.

  48. User avatar smartestRedditor says:

    2 stars
Just ok. Could use more crunchy parts. Thanks for posting tho! 😊

  49. 5 stars
These turkey croquettes are delicious! I made them last night and my family loved them. Definitely a keeper!

  50. 1 star
Turkey croquettes? I thought croquettes were meant for potatoes! 🤔

  51. User avatar basementDweller says:

    4 stars
Crispy and tasty! Perfect for snacks while watching the game.

  52. User avatar Frodo Baggins says:

    2 stars
Ehhh, not what I expected. Can’t really taste the turkey. Maybe I did something wrong?

  53. 5 stars
Easy comfort food. I made them bite-size and they were gone fast. The parsley + parmesan combo really shines.

  54. User avatar Deep Thought says:

    5 stars
Delish! I added some chili flakes for a kick. Will def make again!

  55. User avatar carmelia.maggio85 says:

    2 stars
Too much mayonnaise for my taste! I’ll reduce it next time.

  56. 5 stars
Made these last night—super crispy on the outside and not dry inside. The mayo + Parmesan combo is genius. I served with spicy mayo and it was a hit.

    1. 4 stars
I tried something similar once and mine came out kinda dry, so I’m happy yours weren’t. Quick question though—did you fry on medium the whole time or adjust the heat? My oil always gets too hot lol.

    2. User avatar nena.wilkinson1963 says:

      5 stars
Yes!! Crispy outside + juicy inside is exactly what I want from croquettes. Mayo and parm is such a smart flavor base—adding spicy mayo next time for sure.

  57. User avatar conrad.collier says:

    4 stars
Cool recipe, but can I use leftover chicken instead? Will it taste the same?

  58. User avatar Draugr Wight says:

    2 stars
Meh, my kids didn’t eat them. Maybe too many veggies? 😕

  59. User avatar jayna.volkman2004 says:

    4 stars
These were pretty good, but mine weren’t as crispy as I hoped. I think my oil temp was too low. Still tasty and the flavor is on point!

    1. User avatar Sapphire says:

      5 stars
Glad they were still tasty! Yeah, if the oil runs even a bit cooler, they’ll brown but won’t get that crisp. I’ve found medium heat can be too timid—try bringing it a little higher and don’t overcrowd the pan.

  60. User avatar kimber.watsica says:

    3 stars
I followed the recipe pretty closely, but my croquettes didn’t brown as much as I wanted. I think my oil wasn’t hot enough. Next time I’ll crank the heat a bit and let them fry longer.

  61. User avatar Trin Tragula says:

    5 stars
    These are fire 🔥

  62. User avatar wellRespected says:

    3 stars
I was skeptical at first, but they actually turned out pretty good. Just not as crispy as I hoped.

    1. 4 stars
Glad they turned out well! Maybe try baking them next time for that extra crispiness?

  63. 2 stars
I dunno, mine turned out kinda soggy. Maybe I shoulda let the turkey dry out more before mixing? Just a thought.

  64. User avatar Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz says:

    5 stars
So easy to make! I just used whatever I had in the fridge and they still came out yummy!

  65. User avatar shayne.thiel88 says:

Yummy! I gotta try this for my family too. Sounds delish!!

  68. User avatar dario.wisozk says:

Made these for dinner and they turned out super crispy. The garlic and parsley combo is great, and the mayo really helps the binding. I dipped mine in a little spicy mayo—10/10.

Turkey? I thought you were supposed to use beef for croquettes, but I guess it works.

Turkey? Really? That feels kinda weird for croquettes, but okay… I’ll stick with beef.

Too many ingredients! Just throw some turkey in the oven. This is unnecessary.

  78. User avatar lawana.rohan22 says:

I found the mix too dry. Maybe I needed more mayo? Not sure, but I struggled a bit.

    1. User avatar junko.keeling says:

      3 stars
I dunno, your mixture sounds kinda too dry. Try adding some chicken broth next time instead of more mayo. Just a thought!

    2. User avatar shakita.herzog says:

      4 stars
I think maybe you could’ve added a bit more mayo, yeah. It helps with that moisture! But they taste great anyway!

  83. User avatar shelby.feeney says:

    5 stars
These came out super crispy on the outside and tender inside. I added a squeeze of lemon and it really brightened the flavor. Will definitely make again!

  89. User avatar wellRespected says:

5 stars because it used leftover turkey. Also my kids ate it, so yeah. Btw i made smaller balls, maybe thats why they crisped better.

    1. User avatar jay.weimann says:

      5 stars
Love this! Using leftover turkey is the move—and smaller balls definitely crisp up better. My kids would never pass on croquettes like this 😄
